Norville 'Shaggy' Rogers - The Keeper. An aspiring inventor that watched 'Ghost Busters' way too much as a kid. Created a way to 'keep' souls after the traumatic death of his dog.
A terrifying opponent who is not above keeping your mother's soul for a week solely to make 'Yo mama' jokes.
Daphne Blake - The Summoner. A young Necromancer that can summon compatible vessels for souls given to her by The Keeper, using her own bones as the catalyst. Takes 13 calcium tablets a day much to the displeasure of her local doctor.
Fred Jones - The Trapper. Young Master to the infamous Jones Family. Inherited his father's passion for trapping with a tad too much fevour. Traps and binds souls to the vessels created by the Summoner in flesh and blood. Hate's changing his shirt.
Velma Dinkley - The Harvester. An abomination that sucks the soul out of everything they touch. - Krátké a kreslené filmy

Now THIS is horror. No jumpscares, emotions that feel real, characters that feel alive, it makes you sit on the edge of your seat and a plot that feels mysterious
seriously. this is the kind of horror that needs to become the norm. genuine, real feeling fear. I like Five Nights at Freddy's and things like that, but it just isnt the same as genuine horror like this
Jumpscares can be good though why do so many people hate them
honestly, yeah! if this was the kinda horror that was common, id be able to say that i like horror! but unfortunitly, a lotta "horror" stuff isnt actual horror, just "ooh jumpscare, big loud thing go stomp stomp! oh you have access to a gun and ammo and could easily kill it? no. just no. no reason just screw you."
@@oblozs10 Idk why but I would say probably cause they kill the vibe sometimes?
@@oblozs10 people don’t like them because jumpscares require set up to be good. Like they need a whole buildup but most modern horror doesn’t give jumpscares enough tension for it to be good, thats why it seems really cheap nowadays.
I just noticed that the whole gang looks deathly pale and corpse like, but “Velma” looks normal. I like that story telling there, like something is keeping her young and vibrant but everyone else looks like they’re getting the life sucked out of them.
Damn I wouldve never noticed it lmao
I don't think their life force is getting drained, I think that's symptomatic of their emotional response to what's going on. Whatever's controlling her, by contrast, isn't upset, scared or worried at all.
I mean the lore does say Velma sucks out the souls of living things. Maybe the rest of them are slowly being drained by it, kinda like a chain smoking type of thing
It’s also hella exhausting trying to cage the beast inside of Velma…
I'm pretty sure it's because they are scared, they can't sleep, they think she'll do something to them.
And probably she already doing something to them...
Seeing Velma crying with a smile , acting odd and that all she wrote was "That's not me" over and over make me thinks this might be a nod to the horror movie 'GET OUT' .
I thought it was like Adventure Time when the ice king was about to marry a princess that he cursed.
I don’t know either of those, but I think it most likely is a reference to the famous scene from “The Shining”. You know, the “All work and no play makes Jack a full boy”.

2. Velma starts crying when they open the journal. Possibly meaning she wants help and is hoping that they could help.
3. The tears could be about how her friends care for her
4. She states she is vegan after the comment about the dog. Possibly meaning she ate the dog.
5. She doesn't blink
6. Everyone looks tierd while she looks awake and fine. To the point where she looks creepy

Dope ass drawings.
If you look at the harvester art - you see scoobys tag in her stomach.
Also that the tears are yellow, this can mean A) her head is filled with that yellow liquid, possibly the thing that’s controlling her, B) she’s crying blood, but her blood has zero iron on it, which means that the body is dead and being controlled like a puppet

Shaggy talking about Scooby was very well done. It was like he was slowly spiraling into insanity just thinking about it
As someone that has fallen into insanity over a scarily similar situation. He played it perfectly to the point where I had to smoke a fat blunt to calm down. Sounded exactly like me with my therapist ngl. Kodoos to the actor who showed how truely angering to insanity it is to just not know the truth even though deep down you already know it.
The whole idea of Velma not being normal was really nicely interpreted with her staring into the camera unlike the others who would look around.
the only time she looks away is when she says “I’m completely fine”, and people generally look away from others eyes when they’re lying
You can also see her eyes is in uneven in the end
I love how, in a weird and creepy way, Scooby is still the main protagonist without even existing anymore. He's the reason why everyone got together to talk about Velma, and he's on a drawing with all of them. It's a really creative way to take him out, without actually taking him out.
Something like this is what they should've done in Velma if they really couldn't use Scooby, maybe his disappearance could've been their first mystery

There was a little boy, years ago, whose personality changed completely. His mother took him to several doctors, and they all diagnosed him with different mental disorders, and medications as I recall. Nothing changed. Then one day, he walked up to his mother and handed her a sheet of paper, with one word written on it:
“HELP”
Turns out, he had streptococcus, which triggered an autoimmune response that was attacking his brain. Thankfully, they were able to save him and he returned to normal, but it likely would have killed him before long.
There was another animation which keeped the creepy atmosphere like this one, this time with scooby doo being a sentient monster, pretty freaky stuff. I love how the community has turned this shitshow of a TV show into the most anxiety inducing animations ever

It took me a few seconds to realize "Why would she reply that ?" and, OMG, the implication is horrificly good.
Not gonna lie, your versions of them look better than the original. Like, Velma for example, her design reminds me of a sweet little girl that won't harm a fly. Actually adorable.
Yes. The lines are smoother somehow. She has those big eyes like what other versions of Velma imply with her glasses. The glasses here are like a mask to hide behind. And I love that in her character design. Large eyes are associated with innocence and curiosity. There are also eyes wide in fear like they can’t believe what they’re seeing. Like, this Velma knows her situation and she’s so afraid and desperate. She’s so cute and looks just so sweet. Like, it’s tragic that this little lady has been possessed. And the body horror of eating your friends dog with no control over your own body. Gosh.
Yeah, all of them look so much nicer. Ig I wouldn’t have minded the race swapping if THIS was the style lol. And also if the writing was good ofc.
I like how the message of Velma having killed Scooby Doo is both literal in their world and figurative in our world.
The part were shaggy was like “it doesn’t make sense he should still be there but there’s nothing” gave me straight up chills down my whole body
Part of me wonders if he has any cameras inside his house, and if he does that makes it so much more terrifying that he doesn’t know where Scooby went
@@strangeacelegume he said his place had cameras, along with his neighbors, and since he also mentioned that they didn't leave once meant he checked the cameras and saw nothing happening.
yet Scooby wasn't there when he arrived, so it's pretty bone chilling terrifying
SAMEEEEEEE
I mean... am I the only one getting the obvious hint that she ate him? Or devoured/harvested in some other way.
Mostly because either Scooby is somehow hidden in the house and Shaggy cannot find him - but the fervent "He's not there" from Shaggy seems to imply he really isn't there - otherwise him being hidden would be sort of a letdown "No actually he is there." "Oh"
So if he's not there theres really only a couple way he could have gone, namely down the drains or inside well.... you know.
Which is perhaps again hinted at when Velma is asked about her "having a Dog"... And he first instinctive response is she's vegan. Now obviously - making fun of the "vegans will always tell you theyre vegans" stereotype is likely. But more likely, especially with how taken aback the psychiatrist is - is that Velma's first thought was genuinely of having... eaten Scooby. Her tears after this moment could also perhaps be "for Scooby", assuming as we see after - that "this" is not the real Velma. And that the real Velma had to watch whatever has overtaken her... eat her friend's dog... Tears, would be appropriate I feel.
Then again - could just be that she was crying over what a pathetic mess was made out of the show :p God knows thats also a tragedy worth spilling tears over xP

I love how they all managed to have the iconic "SB" symbol of Scooby's collar along with their own "created version" of Scooby, Shaggy has the ghost of a dog, Daphne has bones that resemble the ones of a dog, Fred has literaly a flesh dog with the Scooby colar, and Velma (most likely) ate a dog
A big detail thats easy to miss is that Velma isn't exactly "gone" as the other gang members claim. Whatever is inside her is controlling her body to an extent but it seems like she's still alive and concious.
She started crying when the interviewer said her friends are worried about her, and she wrote on the diary "Thats not me" repeatedly so others would notice, which also confirms the *thing* inside her cannot see.

@@megeelee I think whatever has Velma is sharing a body with her. She's still there and conscious but it has more control but can't see
Also she doesn’t move almost at all. All of the others, even if they aren’t moving as much as Shaggy was, they still had small moves to accompany their speech, but she was almost completely still besides handing the journal over and the slight eye movement she makes when saying “completely fine!” It’s got a large amount of uncanny value in it and it’s fascinating to see it done in such extremely subtle ways.
Her eyes also look very wide and fearful even though she's smiling. The other characters had more realistic expressions so it sticks out.

So slight changes cause faces to show such diverse emotions.
It's quite a bit worse than that I think. It's not an impostor but a being that took her over. She is still alive in there but trapped behind the monster.

Questions I would be super stoked to see the answers to:
What was Daphne’s mom like in this storyline? ‘Cause all signs certainly point to a horrible experience.
What kinds of things did the group gang get up to prior to the possession? I know Fred said a little bit about the whole setting up traps in haunted houses, but that’s mainly him, I would think. And they’re all in high school rather than working together as a business, so it’s more like them hanging out casually and I doubt they always were doing paranormal-related stuff. How did all of them meet even, and become such close friends?
What exactly is Velma’s demon? All we know about it is that she seems to have “contracted it” (for lack of a better phrase) after the gang went looking for some cove of crystals and she went missing for a full day.
What are Velma’s limitations as far as her possession? She seems to have slight control if she’s crying after the therapist brought up Scooby and her writing “That’s not me” in the journal she gave him.
If, based on the posters, Shaggy has the soul of Scooby, Daphne has the bones, and Fred has the flesh, what does Velma have?
Is there any significance to how Shaggy said Velma was allergic to dogs and when Velma said she was tearing up because of her “allergies playing up a bit”?
Are there gonna be fight scenes? Like with Velma and/other people/demons? I’m pretty sure Shaggy had to katanas on his back and some glowing grenade-looking things. That would be SO cool.
Going by the posters and the descriptions of the characters by Neytirix, is Scooby going to come back reanimated by Shaggy, Daphne, and Fred? Would that process give him the ability to talk and do some of the things he could in the original shows?
God there are SO many cool ways this premise could be developed!

It was kind of a running gag in Mystery Incorporated that Daphne's parents were "weird", so it's cool how that actually got worked into the lore here.

They could genuinely make a great adult horror story using Scooby-Doo characters. Not every villian in the Scooby-Doo universe is just some clown in a mask. Actual ghosts and demons canonically exist in the verse and the Mystery gang has even encountered them.

@dReliq that's the premise of this whole story
The way she tears up indicates two things:

@@electrobob992 To be fair if velma was'nt as bad as it was everyone would have hated that with how it trivialises the entire series. But as it is now yeah it would be better.
I believe this is called "speedrunning"
WHY DID YOU DO THIS?? THIS INTEREST ME EVEN MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL SCOOBY DOO. Now I'm here craving for it. Different race and color or not, THEIR DESIGNS ROCK! I especially love Shaggy. With that cigarette and uniform he looks so cool! Daphne's pointy eyes goes super hard with her uniform! Fred's traps looks very scary in this version, wow. The world they live in actually having suparnatural things like soul catching, necromancy, the ability to create blood and flesh... Not to mention the "weird" Velma still being part of the team... IT'S SO INTERSTING, IT'S NOT FAIR! I DEMAND AN ACTUAL SHOW OUT OF THIS! Please... :(
Bruh Neytirix made Velma look prettier than she actually looks in the original cartoon 💀
you literally created a more compelling story in under 3 minutes than the entirety of "Velma." If they wanted to elevate scooby-doo to an adult audience, what you did there would have been a MUCH better way to do it. Kudos
🙄
@@ShantesTravelThingsyou got a better idea, buddy? C'mon, we all know you've got more in you than just an eyeroll. Share with the class!
saying "it's better than Velma" doesn't mean anything. if the bar is wedged between the floor tiles, even a coin could roll over it.
i am being a pedant, but otherwise yeah this shit is good!
Velma isn't cannon because there's no Scooby doo
@@9Jaker9 Never said it was cannon. The creators said they wanted to "elevate Scooby Doo to an adult audience." and in order to do that, they got rid of scooby, among other terrible decisions.
This is giving "velma meets original velma" vibes and i'm loving it!
I think this is goin to be very creepy
"Terror Scooby" making tweaks.
I saw that little video and I was thinking I would have loved to see that as the actual concept instead of a bad teenage angst and drama
One is a critic to the state of decade old franchises while also being a story of a eldritch creature wanting to have a happy life with mortals he loves but one of this mortals just refuses to forget and let the mistery unresolved yet the beast can help himself but to still love her despite she’s the cause of everything
Meanwhile the other is a history about a gang of kids being ruined by a thing possessing one of them and killing the dog, and a mistery of what are they gonna do next
Is he going to recover form he’s pet loss?
What is her connection with the paranormal?
Are they gonna save her?
One is a critic and a history of a impossible wish and the other is a unresolved history of a tragedy
Avocado studios and neytrix do slightly different types of horror, but they’re both amazing!
Norville’s voice is perfect
This is a lot more interesting than that other velma eldritch horror fan video. Both yours and that one is very well made & brilliantly executed. I like this take better, it seems to keep the spirit of the characters in tact while exploring a new grim telling of them. I hope you can make this into a full story. I am intrigued on if the gang saves velma or survives or succumbs to the spirits.
Seeing all the characters talk about her, then her showing up all smiley creeped me tf out, like the bald guy from silence of the lambs, also very very nice
You mean "Hannibal"?
The bald guy
The bald guy...? Are you referring to... Doctor Lecter? He's a man of taste, I'm pretty certain that he would have a hard time, uhm, swallowing your description.
A
Just…. Wow!😲
Honestly the creepiest part of this that gives it a good horror factor is that all of Velma's friends are distressed. Each looking like and sounding like they are the breaking point or completely given up. Yet all of their distress is because of Velma, then when we finally see her, she seems the most stable till you hear the off handed "no I'm vegan" then the notebook.
It would be a good story to explore, where no one believes them because Velma's false persona points to her being the normal one and them being the crazy ones, combine that with the fact no one is going to believe supernatural events.
ohhhhhh!! and then they transform themselves to try and capture her all the while Velma sheds her human form bit by bit. Hence the drawings at the end.
@@enzo4164Yea, and she keeps that unsettling smile the whole time too.
At first I was thinking that given they labeled a bunch of disorders on her people would not be viewing her as normal. but thinking on it that could be part of the trick. As it slowly learns to act more human it would pretend it is the result of the drugs. and this would further make people disbelieve her as it could be seen as them interfering with her recovery.
The sad thing is that Mystery Inc still cares about Velma and each other adding another level of tragedy to the whole thing.
She also didn't blink once.
This is my headcanon.
They're lying, bending the truth to make it coherent ("Scooby" being eaten being one of them). They found a way to summon demons and accidently dug a hole too deep for them to fill, the demons scattering all over the state. An especially powerful one possessed Velma and promised it would return their friend alive and mostly unspoilt under one condition.
Clean up the mess they made.
To me that doesn't make sense because why would they go to the police and not a priest to excite the demon from her body
@@simonealexis3062They went to a group therapist I think, not the police.
Taking a tag about the show and turning it into a terrifying short film is actually so smart, dude, oh em gee
She made the characters look fire, she changed the plot, and she kept their designs. This is a show I would 100% watch.
fr Im stealing the trapper idea for D&D, that sounds like a really good concept.
@TheRealPyrocinical96 Absolute Unit honestly all of them would make for perfect PC's in a horror setting.
@@forgetfuldullahan5468 Fr thou like a Tank/Summoner hybrid with stuns in d&d sounds like a very interesting and cool idea.
Agreed 100% would watch a show based on these characters
i'd definetly watch a show like this, a darker scooby doo that. instead of fake ghost stuff they are facing real paranormal horrors to keep the world safe from the shadows.,
The skit at the beginning was a hundred times better than the actual show and as always the artwork is absolutely fucking incredible!
People say their art is perfect (which it is), but holy shit, the story writing is just top tier!
@@p-__ sounds like a fetish thing, therefore I choose to stay away from it.
Watched this when it was new. Not surprised the algorithm steered me back to it due to Season 2 (really, the last half of Season 1) of Velma having finally released.
Still loving this.
I love how the gang (besides Velma) is using an aspect of Scooby Doo. Shaggy was his heart and soul so it makes sense (to me at least) that he would keep Scooby-Doos soul. Fred is a mastermind with traps so using the flesh of a dead animal would be perfect (and I hope shaggy doesn't mind since he has his soul). Daphne being a ( I want to say) necromancer and using Scoobys bones is fitting since she is supposed to be both caring and fierce. Like a rose. Beautiful but dangerous to touch. And Velma well she is the monster.
Love that everyone is jumping on the "Velma as a Horror" track. Its just so good and at least getting something out of that show.
It makes sense. It is creepy to have someone you know replaced by an imposter and that is what watching Velma feels like.
I wish they leaned into that instead of a shown by a terf with lots of ableism that romanticizes straight up sexual assault (kissing someone who is in a state that's closely to unconscious is sa by definition, especially because even before the state she didn't give her consent (btw even if she did if the person is now not able to that doesn't matter)) and try being "haha white people" while the director hates herself for not being white
Seconds in and already is better than the entire series lmao
Literally, anything is better than the original series
Bro it's like comparing gourmet to scraps. Of course this is better, but so is anything else

Anyone see the video where Scooby-Doo is a cosmic entity that keeps trying to remake the gang but Velma is always the one the becomes aware that something is wrong with Scooby-Doo? Love it!
Yessssss
You should totally do a Fanfiction Story of this .
The real Velma trying to communicate through the journal and get out of whatever the hell she’s in, is so sad. I love this so much, it’s like she’s trapped in her own body and can only cry. Gosh, it’s so perfect. The art style, the colors, the lip syncing, the frames, how we see it, the art at the end. GOSH. This is literally perfect.
It's like being paralyzed while in agony and your screams of pain don't come out,and instead is someone else saying that you are fine and all you can do is cry and wait for someone to understand.
Also I'm your 500th like 👍
@@xxvery_original_namexx9677 noice, I love your name. And your description. It’s so detailed and creepy, it’s perfect.
One of my worst recurring nightmares is this exact scenario.
Something in the house makes my body go outside and mutilate itself in grotesque ways, including repeatedly jumping from heights until my teeth crack.
Then it marches me back inside and my family is there, and I desperately want to tell them what's happening and to please help, but it forces me to only give a closed-lip smile. Something becomes my pilot, and I can talk about anything except that.
It reminds me of one of the plagues of the God of Pestilence Nurgle: A kind of Zombie infection that transforms your body into a living being independent of you, both your soul and your body are corrupted by chaos and worst of all, you continue Helplessly aware of everything your body is doing, even trying to cry on the inside or trying to scream for help results in a maniacal smile or psycho laugh coming out of your mouth
@@randomasshumanbeing2078 thanks, I've been thinking of writing a story involving this type of stuff for a long time but I'm scared that no one will like it so ur words brightened my day a little : )
You all knew things were serious when Norville said "Call me Shaggy."
my god, the detail of everything is so good and the music suits this theme extremely well. well done sir, well done
Avocado's Scooby vs. Neytirix' Velma needs to happen.
YEESSS
God this was impressive. You took Garbage and turned it into an actually tragic horror
“That’s Not Me” scared me and broke my heart.
Same.
Yeah, it’s sad 😢
I like the idea that the original velma is trapped inside a fake velma
Neytrix is so unbelievably good at writing horror, it’s truly stunning, turning a show everyone hated into something actually truly enjoyable
Oh~ Most definitely~
I wish they did this instead
I thought you said Netflix
It's Velma done right
That's true dude. So true.
Dayum, they should have hired you instead of that Mindy Fraud.
Damn, this and Avocado Animation's Velma parody makes me wish we had a series based on this fan concepts instead of what we actually got.
And just like that, an actually dark, mature, and scary version of the Velma show was born - I'd love to see this in a fully fledged story as all of the crew eventually become monsters but try to keep close to their humanity - each time velma getting further away
Oh my, that sound so cool and seem like something i want to look up to!
If it's like the video then they'd most likely have to fight or trap the one inhabiting Velma.
Yes
Woah
I think the one good thing to come out of 'Velma' are the amazing art pieces like this completely reconceptualizing it into something horrific and amazing.
Have you seen the Velma meets original Velma vid? Its so good.

The fact that "Dog" is at the end of the URL makes this a bit better
When Fred talked about losing Velma in a cove full of crystals (keep in mind I managed to avoid watching Velma) lemme just point out there was an episode from Be Cool where they lost her in a cave of crystals and she went crazy
This was brilliantly done, the idea that as friends they liked to solve mysteries and go into haunted houses for fun until one day a place turned out to be REAL and none of them know except velma... amazing all the hints from velma that something is off. The "No, I'm vegan." while crying was truly haunting.
That's the kind of mature spin-off fans were hoping for. A similar feel to the regular Scooby-doo formula but with a dark twist.
Not... what we _actually_ got.
I also love how fred, daphne, and shaggy have parts of scooby with them (flesh, bones and soul). It is quite vague but very interesting, like what happened to scooby, what did velma/or the entity with velma do, what exactly the titles are for and so much more. So much more potential on a youtube art video than what we got on a show out there
@@en9719 I thought that maybe Velma may have eaten Scooby-Doo just because of the I'm vegan comment
I know this is supposed to be a deep, philosophical, sad animation but I love you for bringing Fred's ascot back
THE HOLY ASCOT!
I don't believe you understand the meaning of the word philosophical.
I wouldn't say deep or philosophical are the words I'd use necessarily, since there aren't really any bigger themes here. The story is just exactly what it looks like it is.
some of y’all really don’t know a joke when y’all hear one, huh.
@@kiddosneakybeaky3934 I do when the joke is actually funny
In Less than 30 seconds you made her more compeling and empathetic then the whole of her show.
THIS I s a series I’d actually watch
Like it’d probably scare the shit outta me, but I’d watch it
I love that "Velma" has her gaze fixed to the front at all times but two:
When she hands the notebook, and when she says she is ok
Yeah i actually noticed that but was unsure if i was just reaching or not. Velma, when out of focus giving the notebook over, has her eyes drift down to it before snapping back just before she comes back into focus. I think that was an instance of the actual Velma breaking through somewhat as the notebook is her desperately crying out for help
The fact that *Velma* Said “Im Vegan!” Makes me think if she ate Scooby. Because Norville mentions that they didn’t leave the house but couldn’t be found anywhere.
...you don't say
Kinda implied, there.
“Your friends mentioned you had a dog.” “Oh, no. I’m vegan.” That’s some morbid humour, right there.
I think that's what people were meant to think when she said that..
Or she did some sort of ritual
The placement of the scooby dog tag is unique for each character. For daphne it's in her palm, almost like shes holding a scooby snack. For fred its on the body of scooby as he pets him like previous incarnations have. For shaggy its near his heart. And Velmas is over her stomach.
You are definitely one of the coolest artists to ever exist.
Better voice acting than ANYTHING in the entire show. Seriously, high quality.
Better everything than anything in the entire show. Can we just make this the show?
Voice acting was far from being the worst part of the show tho. People dunk on the animation too but tbf it's OK.
The thing is since the writing is so bad some people assumed it was purposefully bad and the intentions were pathetic at best, disgusting at worst... Well every other aspects of the show were defiled.
Imagine being a baker who produce every day traditional french bread only to realize with horror people revile the bread because it is sold inside dirty public toilets...
I pity the animators, and except for a few the voice actors as well.
I love how every character was given this really detailed paragraph of lore and then Velma is just a soul-sucking monster with nothing of notice.
I don’t know whether to laugh at how much of a roast that is towards the current Velma’s personality or desperately beg for more backstory.
