Friends, today we're diving into the world of Welcome Home! This art collection has been making the rounds recently for how well put together and impressive it is! My favorite Mr. Rogers fact is that he used to narrate himself feeding the fish each episode because a young blind girl sent him a letter as she was worried the fish were hungry. I’m sure there’s others, but that’s what comes to my mind when I hear Mr. Rogers.

MatPat. There's more lore. The website is back up and there's more AUDIO FILES!!!!! The drawings from Wally and the bugs that are scattered all over the place hold those secrets. Also there's new photos of remnants from the show

Mat! In case you haven't heard, there's been a huge update to the website with so much cool lore and hidden stuff, It's taken me all day to find it all and I still think I'm missing some things.
Fun fact: On the website, Wally is never looking away from the viewer. All of the other characters are looking in other directions except for Wally
There is at least one picture where his eyes are closed: How Wally can't frown. Unless that's different for some reason?

Clown also released that wally eats with his eyes. I'm pretty sure that there's a gif of him looking at a peice of cake, his pupils dialating, and butes being taken out of it until it was done.
it's said that he's also the only one breaking the 4th wall, talking directly to the viewer
I really think Wally is less of a villain and more of a victim, almost like home is forcing him to send letters out. I think he’s trying to help the viewers to solve the mystery and save his neighbors. (“I can’t reach them” on the mailbox page and “can you see me? Then stay quiet.”)
Home is just making him go insane

I know this video is a few months old but I wanted to add a comment about the line “As Above, So Below”. It isn’t only an occult phrase, but a phrase used in many other hermetic traditions, especially Kabbalah. The usage in most hermetic traditions is the idea that all living creatures contain a piece of god, because all creatures have a soul. I find it very interesting that a puppet that seemingly alive (maybe having a soul) is connected to Home. Also, the end goal of Kabbalah is to make humanity return to god, to cause all souls to recombine. I don’t personally know all of the ways that information might be useful or relevant, but I find it very interesting

But , if you look at one art project in the website you’ll see someone made a tweet saying “food for Wally !” With a Mac and cheese photo, and the creator of Welcome home then replied with him not eating the food with his house, but with his eyes. And, since Wally MAY be a puppet for Home, maybe Home can do that too.

Exactly, when I look at the creepy Wally pictures, I remember he either can't frown or finds it hard to frown. Just look at his eyes for the real expressions
I think it's because Wally is a puppet. From what we've seen, it looks like Wally is self-aware about the whole puppet thing, so him not being able to smile could be because his features are literally stitched on and that's just how the puppet was designed. Just like how Frank's puppet has a frown.

Props to the arg creator who's trying to maintain their own idea of the arg, it's rare to see arg creators try to avoid their fan work to maintain the story integrity, and it's pretty damn respective. Hope they're doing well, and I wish them success

I just realised welcome home kind of reminds me of Daniel the tiger in his theme song Who literally welcomes his neighbour as the villains also has a mix of humans and animals like characters
Why isn't anyone talking about the fact that wally admits to not having memories with his friends? It feels like a very important part of the lore.

I'm so glad Matpat made a warning for Clown and to not take the theory to heart as fact or share it because of Clown's mental health! Glad he heard our pleas and possibly from the FNAF restaurant incident of 2022, he grew as to not delve too deep. Thank you for this video, Matpat!

@@BreakyOnline Basically Matpat made a theory saying that based on some of the FNAF books he thinks there was an ARG idea for FNAF that got scrapped and his idea of what it was going to be.
/Unfortunately/ this also led to a bunch of restaurants in the area mentioned in the video being inundated with hundreds of phone calls, and Matpat had to put out a statement telling them all to knock it off. (Especially given he said he didn't even think that there WAS an arg, just plans for a scrapped one MAYBE)

Some things you didn’t point out: Every character in the Neighborhood segment is addressed in past tense except for Wally. And adding onto that, everyone else has the option to “go back”, but Wally’s just says “goodbye”. In the guest book, at first Wally talks about his friends as if they aren’t there, but after a few pages, he’s suddenly in contact with them. (with the gold cross cuff links, Clown actually said in an old post that they weren’t canon anymore, but if it’s on the site I’m not really sure. Anything before 2022 isn’t canon now)

It seems like he's still deciding, so for now, consider them Schrödinger's Cufflinks.
It gives a sense that the others are either dead, or were never alive (sentient) to begin with...and Wally (and Home) are the only ones truly around.

Maybe it's similar to the mascots of McDonald's. Remember that Ronald McDonald's used to have a lot of friends with him and then in present day, he's the only one alone? What if Wally and Home killed them all?
I'm really happy game theory showed a lot of respect towards Clown's project and feelings about it. It really shows us that Matpat does listen! He doesn't go into all this completely blind, he really does the research for it.

As someone that followed Clown since 2019, ITS ABSOLUTELY INSANE AND SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO SEE THIS PROJECT BLOW UP SO RANDOMLY?? I still remember when Wally was usually seen with blue eyelids and Poppy had pink feathers. It feels so surreal having Welcome home seen everywhere, but I cannot be any happier seeing this project finally get the love and attention it deserves!!💗💞💕💗

I also noticed how Wallys voice sounds like hes reading something off a script, rather than speaking what he thinks. Like how he laughs
12:30, I’ve always believed that the crosses on him signify a “cross-brace”, which is the wooden device used to control string puppets. Also, it seems like he already knows that he’s a puppet due to him responding that he was a puppet and not a doll.
Adding onto yours, 13:37 that cross really loud to me. It really stands out against the black and red
crosses like the ones he had on his cufflinks used to represent priests and preachers as well.
They are less a center cross and more like a crucifix
I don't think the cross is still a canon part of his design(I know mat probably mentioned that in the vid but.. why include it at all if it's not canon bruh Matpat what're you doin), Clown has stated not all the images on the website gallery are canon to the story and are more of an art display

I was really concerned when I found out Mat was gonna be covering this ARG. After what happened with Clown, I wasn’t sure how he was gonna handle this.

@dogecursor there has been blatant disregard to clowns boundaries in terms of content created with these characters, mainly with nsfw content. It resulted in Clown taking a hiatus from making more content
I’m hesitant to believe that Wally is evil based on that one shot of him asking if you can see him and telling you to be quiet, looking absolutely terrified
like, you would think if he was evil then we, the viewers, would just KNOW but i don't really... feel threatened? I'm more frightened of Home to be honest ha ha

Mr Fred Rogers was more than just a host of a children's educational show, he was the most wholesome man alive. His wholesomeness was what saved PBS from being axed.
Mr. Fred Rodgers was genuinely the most wholesome man ever. His show was definitely one of my favorites back in the day.
One of my favorite most wholesome things he did was he fixed one of his songs bc it was transphobic(unintentionally)
He was an ex soviet Russian spy hunter, master sniper. You can find old photos of his tattoos that covered his arms and torso. That’s why on the show he always wore that perfect burgundy cardigan

I’m gonna be honest, these types of theories are my favorite! Like the types of theories where the game or tv show or something is gonna come into the real world causing real world problems? I luv these theories a lot!

The creator (Clown) has asked we call it not an ARG, rather just a horror project. Also please look at Clown’s boundaries about the project! Some include not drawing any NSFW art of any of their characters and selling any merch of their characters (anything personal however is fine).

You know you gotta give MatPat credit for how much he truly does give Clown passion for all his work on Welcome Home. That is something that we mostly seen MatPat do before biggest example being FNAF, but here he truly does appreciate Clown a lot which made him analyzing the lore to be much more wholesome.

Another cool detail is that out of all the character bio illustrations, Wally is the only puppet that appears to be looking directly at the player (all other puppets are shown looking off to the side or interacting with elements in their environments)

Wally sounds scared and sad when he sings. i feel like this started out so wholesome but now hes in way over his head and all he can do is play along for his own safety

You get two videos not covered in the website. The butterfly that appears on the screen ontop of one of the titles to the merchandise section. And the worm in the guest book. I think it was on page one

There's one thing not mentioned in this video that doesn't sit right with me, and that is Sally.
On the guestbook page, one of the comments is written by a woman named Sally, and goes like this:
"Wow, I thought I had completely forgotten about this show, but this website has reignited so many childhood memories I thought I had lost. Thank you for making this lovely site =)"
The doodle next to it has the title "Sally is that you?"
There's two other things to note here:

It was a typical video where he says about a minute’s worth of content stretched out to full video length. Including a whole segment where he breaks down evidence and then follows it up with a statement from the creator saying everything he’d just talked about isn’t canon.

I would like to mention a detail you may have missed while looking through the website!
During all the characters profiles (Except for Wally) They always say “Was a puppet” or “Was (so-and-so) best friend” When you go to Wallys page it says “Wally IS a puppet” and “Wally IS your best friend” Same with your character profile.

Love love love how kind you were about Clown's mental health and boundaries. Excited for the series to continue, but also knowing that Clown was not prepared for this to go big so soon.
I've never been as big as Clown has now become but I've had periods of my life where I exploded in popularity in a fandom and it was always so paralyzing for me. I can imagine how spooked I was at my levels and just multiply it by 1,000 to imagine how Clown may be feeling. Oof!!
I kind of thought the signatures were similar since home is... a house that doesn't have hands and since Wally lives within home it makes sense for him to do Home's signature for them
We should appreciate the effort that the creators of these args with all this lore.

Oh I totally relate to taking a while of making cool stuff... most of my projects are held on hold and may not ever be made and the one I focus on has taken over 3 years so far in making it! Great creations take patience

A nice detail I saw with this website is that one of these links show Wally looking through a small rectangle, which looks suspiciously like a mail slot on a house's front door, asking us if we see and hear him. Then he says something like "be quiet" or something along those lines. It's almost like Wally's begging for help and doesn't want Home finding out. Almost like Home is keeping Wally trapped within its walls.
I love the “home is controlling/trapping Wally against his will” theory, I always eat that kind of stuff up
