Being a classical literature professor isn't exactly in demand in the current economical and social situation, after all. He's a lot smarter than he appears to be. It's just that his english isn't fluent.
Ashley Burch is the voice actress. She's been in a lot of projects and almost always brings an energy to her characters that make them seem like fun people to be around.
This really fits her character, she's as goofy and messed up as most mercs but she keeps her cool and i love how she describes the situations. The animation just makes her look so alive, i cant even begin to tell everything i like abt this

I love the implication of Pauling having to begrudgingly add to the pile of corpses in the cave... I imagine she has a whole group of people doing the tour, and now she's gonna have to kill them all, slasher villain style in the cave.
My favorite in-game Ms. Pauling interaction is when she talks to Pyro in a sweet, endearing voice like a good social worker interacting with a mentally challenged patient or an elderly person suffering from dementia. It's very heartwarming because it demonstrates a level of understanding and caring for Pyro and his issues that I never expected from any cast member. The world truly needs more Ms. Paulings.

Miss Pauling fits in among the mercs so well because she’s simultaneously the straight-man to a lot of their individual craziness while also being her own flavor of crazy. Valve’s level of writing and VA work certainly doesn’t hurt, either.
Still, the sanest character in TF2 Ms. Pauling is always worth it. I wonder if one day -Valve- the janitor and the plant will add animations to the tracker ingame xD

Half of these lines are from the “Tough Break” Update, the second contract-centric update where Miss Pauling is forced to take a state mandated vacation, while there still needs to be people killed and all.
Ashly is incredibly talented, I'm so happy she went from making CZcams sketches to being one of the most prolific VAs right now. She was a perfect choice for Molly McGee too.

My favorite in-game Ms. Pauling interaction is when she talks to Pyro in a sweet, endearing voice like a good social worker interacting with a mentally challenged patient or an elderly person suffering from dementia. It's very heartwarming because it demonstrates a level of understanding and caring for Pyro and his issues that I never expected from any cast member. The world truly needs more Ms. Paulings.

Miss Pauling fits in among the mercs so well because she’s simultaneously the straight-man to a lot of their individual craziness while also being her own flavor of crazy. Valve’s level of writing and VA work certainly doesn’t hurt, either.
