I remember involuntarily sitting when I heard the news over the phone that my father had passed. There is an immense weight in that moment.
😪
That's happened to me. When my Grandpa died. And when my mom cried over thr phone telling me.
That’s actually exactly what happened to me.
I’m glad they made him a very loving husband with a family that loved him back very much. It was genius how they used Sheldon’s quirks to pain an image of George through Sheldon’s eyes while in reality it was something different. They kept true to big bang while making us happy
Yeah and I think doing that makes things scene hurt more knowing how much he was loved
I think he was going with what Mary said about him when she was pissed off with him but I just hate how in bbt they made George out to be a stupid alcoholic bully when in ys he’s a loving caring husband and father who would do anything for his family but I hope in the last episode sheldon comes to his senses or though thinking about it now when BBT was still going for its last couple of seasons when YS was still a new show they lightened up the George memories in BBT like when Sheldon got married and Mary said your father would be so proud of you or something like that and when Sheldon was watching his old American football school team VHS you’d see him as a wise enthusiastic man so I guess that’s a start
You know he hooked up with someone else
@@eduardo-513 he didn’t cheat, he didn’t hook up with anyone
@@jack0609 that was through Sheldon’s eyes tho and we see how differently he sees stuff
“….he’s gone…” that line was absolutely soul crushing
Why do I feel like mary somehow knew something was wrong
The context is fairly obvious. The minute his coworker and boss walk over to the home, you generally know something really bad happened.
Their body language is closed off and subdued, their voices are quietly sympathetic.
There's not a lot that could be happening there.
Honestly, this scene was masterfully performed from start to finish, because there's so much raw subtext in each of their emotions.
@@tulipkitten i feel like way before the knock, mary already felt it. the deadness in tone, if you're sensitive about others, you know the change in energy from people
Yeah, people know. It's instinct, premonition, whatever you call it.
There one point I had a really bad feeling, it was super heavy, later found out grandma died
Probably she had already watched TBBT
I love that Sheldon had to sit to take in his father's death. Really emphasizes his character.
He emotionally loses the strength in his legs
@@pop-culturecinephile8144 the look on Sheldons face at the end is like i honestly don't feel like crying right now he just sits down silently like yeah I'm going to think this through
@@eliassanchez1112, he’s in his own form of grief
Omfg, that’s how the show ends. That’s truly heart breaking, I cried watching the scene 😢 RIP George cooper, the brisket loving, caring for his childrening, most best dad someone could ask for. This is truly heartbreaking.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you bring a great show to an end
Definitely a hell of a nice job by chuck norris on how he produced and directed the pre finale and finale episodes of both young sheldon and the big bang theory
Chuck noris? Lmao
I am so sad rn that George died, I’ve only watched this episode but I have a feeling that Sheldon might become depressed as well as the rest of them…
I didn’t think the funny Sheldon show would do it I thought the heart attack episode was enough.
The fact that it happened off screen hit more. And the way Sheldon sits down is when you realize how much shock and pain he’s in.
My mother and I watched the 2 season finale episodes together. Oddly enough, I’m preparing to go to school to get my Physical Therapy Degree, and my mother shared the anger that my father shouldn’t have been gone so soon. The season finale episodes really resonated with me and my mother… Fuck, these made me cry all the way through.
Sheldon’s reaction was just heartbreaking
The poor boy doesn't know how to express pain or despair. It's so natural to everyone else. But he needs to think how to react.
The writers of the show really got us good here. At this point, we were expecting George to die soon, we were just waiting. But we never thought it would happen like this. His death being unseen and the family not being there made even more tragic.
It was actually Lance Barber’s idea for it to be off screen
I'm glad they made sheldon mature and showing this plus 10 years of isolation is what messed him up
In all his intelligence, the one thing Sheldon can never truly grasp: Grief. Fucking brilliant acting.
He is in grief, he just doesn’t show it, besides shaking and slowly moving
I knew it was coming and still was not prepared.
Even though we knew this was coming, it still kind of hits hard.
you can see how much sheldon whated to cry.
I had a similar reaction when one of my dogs died. When I found out she died I got a little altered and my body was shaking. I started crying after I calmed down
Kind of Deja vu. When i rewatch Young Sheldon S1- Ep 2, the opening scene missy singing faith by George Michael & first introduction of Meemaw. And First scene George heart Attack and Sheldon got first believe in Faith not science on a church in a hospital.
RIP George Michael song “Faith”
Grandma looks happy like she's smiling and laughing
Some people look that way when they cry
Look at her eyes,she’s heartbroken
The first time seeing episode This scene stunned me after hearing George was pronounced dead & at the after the episode finished I froze for 2 minutes
Where do you watch?
What season an episode is this? Please tell me. 0:22
😢😢😢😢
What episode and season is it?
What episode/season is this?
I can’t physically take a grasp on not having a dad. When he passes I’m going to flip out.
One month before this episode comes out same shit happened to me
I wish Shaun the good doctor was there and these shows connect 😕
nah
good doctor takes place much later
@DONOTCALLMEMANGO Well.... that is true but maybe Shaun can time travel? 😅
He dsint die, he became bill ponderosa
That was the saddest scene I've watched on TV, since Howard's Mom's death on BBT. I just didn't like how young Sheldon wouldn't say anything at the funeral. He was your father for God's sake.
You don’t understand the point,you can see he’s hurting😭
he was trying to avoid grief because he thought that would help
I do understand, I've been through it with my wife and our youngest child. She acted the same way as Sheldon when my wife died. (Her mother).
Me to
what season 7 it must not be on Netflix so we're can I see it
It’s not yet, but it’s on Paramount+
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hiw sheldon did not cry
Wow those poor kids lost their dad
Wait... why are they all in white?
They were going to take a family pic at 4pm. They were waiting for George
@@nav_2709that makes his death even worse
Just watch the whole episode
@@HuffyPup It's a lot more worse when you realize Missy could of talked to him one last time if she went in the car with him

George was nothing but a punching bag to the family. They treated him like crap. No matter what he did, how hard he tried, it was never enough. He was a good man.
1:18 I love how Sheldon is just sitting there😂
He's in shock
