Who’s here after George’s death in the end of episode 12 of the final season
We all knew whatbwas about to happen, but it still got me. They've done a great job with that. Properly brutal, just like it is in real life.
Me😢🥹🥲😭😢
We all knew this was gonna happen! Zoe Perry herself said in an interview today she knew his character had to be Killed off!

There are times where he wasn’t.
Old Sheldon
No that was Adult Sheldon
The scene of George in that room hits especially hard as another heart attack is what killed him.
Maybe it's because of his relationship with Mary

Poor children , they were terrified for their dad . The kid playing Sheldon is such a magnificent actor , genious and talented working in a very complex interpretation
Yeah
Yeah, Ian Armitage was proper Oscar material
Yes
My dad had a heart attack when I was 17. I was not mature enough to handle it but he had nobody else. The scene when Sheldon looks into the door and sees his dad with all the machines, that's exactly how I felt. My dad was the strongest superhero I'd ever knew My whole life, and seeing him so vulnerable and pale gave me the worse feeling I'd ever felt in my life. This scene really spoke to me and helped me relate to Sheldon.
my grandma died a month ago, i thought i could go through this but when i saw her in this coffin..., i just felt entirely broken.
I absolutely fear the day this will happen to me ....
Same here. Same exact experience
Same but I was 21 and wanted to show my Dad I made it through USAF basic training. Shit sucks. Never get over the grieving but we will always miss our loved ones.
My dad had a heart attack on October 6th 2019 (my brothers 19th bday fun fact, I was 12-13 and I relate to that look completely. He had to get 4 stents put in I believe and he was literally minutes away from dying. He had another minor heart attack earlier this year and had to put a pacemaker in and he’s doing better now
My father passed because of a heart attack when I was five. While watching this episode I felt a tear running through my cheek.
sorry to hear :( ❤

"we"? My dad died when I was 11, and my mother passed when I was 14, never prayed for either of them.

My father was hit by a man going 120 mph on the highway, he was stuck in the hospital in a coma for a year, the doctors said that there was a 30% chance for survival. I couldn't handle the thought of losing him and i broke down destroying my room to pieces while balling my eyes out from the thought of him leaving when i was just 16, im 19 now a college sophomore who just had his dad help him move out for the summer and i am thankfully every day that he is still with me
Keep punching forward....your dad will say the same.! Never give up.
Kinnel mate, glad he's still with you!
I was in the same situation with my grandpa at 13. Instead of tearing my room to pieces, I stiff armed a kid so hard he was carted off the field. (I didn't mean to, it just happened) You're dad's the recipient of a miracle. Keep pushing forward, he'll be there.
My uncle from my dad’s side survived 3 heart attacks. My mom had one last July, but she survived it too thankfully. The doctors never said my mom had a heart attack. They just said it was chest pain, and I am hoping it was not an actual heart attack.
Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t Sheldon have a near perfect memory? Every detail of this is burned into his mind with no chance of forgetting
Near implying brain not trying to remember something traumatic.
Nah, he'd remember everything regardless. Trust me on that.
What makes it even worse is that Sheldon probably knew how serious it was because of all the monitors-
I was 3 and a half when my grandma died and still remember crying in the church and the image of her casket in the church is burned into my memory
@@tailgatecarpenter26 If I hade 3 wishes? That one wish would be all I needed.

Ay! Congratulations!
Its A Miracle ❤❤❤
My foster brother who was way older than me, 43 died of a heart attack and he was so healthy :( although when he was younger he ate a lot of junk food. Now I’m scared about my health because I am doing the same thing he was doing when he was younger. I just need to definitely change the way I eat. We all should

As someone who has been strapped to many medical machines since I was a infant this scene hits hard. The fear, uncertainty, stress, sadness, the cold feeling of being in a dimly colored room with the only thing breaking the silence being a heartbeat monitor that your afraid could stop at any moment. It's one of the most terrifying and saddening things in the world. And in my opinion this is captured almost perfectly here.
Bless each of you
I always found it weirdly peaceful and relaxing - my part of the fight is over, and it's up to the doctors and the universe now... just hand it all over, and let the chips fall.
Me to man
Wait you remember the pain when you were an infant?
Ok
sad fact: Sheldon has an identic memory which allow him to remember this scene for ever and relive it like it just happened.
Sheldon really did love his Dad.
In his own way
What is really impressive is just how excellent this show is as a prequel to Big Bang.
This is a prequel to Big Bang whattttt I never knew that

Is anyone else here from tonight's heartbreaking episode, or is it just me?
The Nurse, who also played Will Smiths Mom in Fresh Prince, was also a nurse in Big Bang Theory, a couple times, so this was hilarious
Yup she helped Howard with his robot hand “incident”
Funny thing, she is also a nurse in another CBS series Bob❤️Abishola
I think i saw her on Two and a half men too
@@SoapMcTavish06 She works in every ER in every Chuck Lorre CBS comedy. It’s a good gig of you can get it!! :)
I think she's also the receptionist in the sperm bank in the pilot episode.
This scene hits hard. My dad had a heart attack when i was in my teens. Seeing him hooked up to all those machines scared the hell out of me. He was always strong and full of life, seeing him look so weak in that moment was terrifying. Luckily he's still going strong 20yrs later
Wow that’s amazing!! You’re so strong and so is your dad 💪
Anyone here after George death
Sadly yes
me
Sadly I am here too
My son had a heart attack at 29. Extremely fit, hill runner and mountain hiker. Turned out he had a hereditary heart condition, and with meds and keeping an eye on it, has not had to change much in his lifestyle. I believe all babies should be tested at birth for heart issues and save so much heartache later.
I 100% agree with you. We would prevent so many deaths.
Congenital heart screens for most common disorders are standard for most hospitals now, but they can't screen for everything.
Some congenital anomalies don't show for decades in some cases. My brother has a rare congenital heart condition that killed him abruptly at 68 and had been undetected and hidden behind his heart and no symptoms either.
Some things can be impossible to test for. Heart conditions run in my maternal family, and on tests, mine looks healthy and fine. So did my moms, aunts, and uncles, before they all had very major heartattacks in the same year
Some people are not aware, heart attacks are also seen in athletes. That is why even though someone who lives a healthy lifestyle and have a fit active body is still suggested to have check ups every now or then.
The little guy playing Sheldon is an incredible actor!!! Loved the nurse was used in tbbt and young Sheldon
Wow, that nurse really is dedicated. She’s been nursing since Sheldon’s East Texas days all the way to Howard’s Robot Hand “incident” in Pasedena many years later.
And that’s not including being a single mom to a young man who she sent to grow up in Bel Air.
(Nice to see that actress again, if I was an actor, I’d want to be a character actor like her, solid steady work, someone would recognize you for something, you wouldn’t be big enough for the real TMZ level BS, and collect the SAG etc. union pension and benefit with your dues at the end of the day).
I think she was the receptionist in the first BBT episode too.
Yeah, she's great!
She’s on Bob loves Abisola too. I love her.
She’s been the ER nurse in almost every hospital episode for every comedy Chuck Lorre produces.
Her work probably isn't as steady as you think and certain role types pop up more often then youd think. I work in film and only do acting on the side, mostly crew jobs. And I've played a few things on repeat alot even only 2 years I to the industry for acting. 3 years for crew.
0:16 God, she’s a nurse in every show, I swear.
True
It hurts so much knowing what was in the beginning of the show is ultimately what lead to the end of the show
I relate to this video a lot. My mom had emergency heart surgery a month ago and the panic I felt when I saw her attached to those tubes.. man that clip described the whole experience. Except for I had to hear her screaming in agony and block my ears. I saw so many things a 15 year old should never have to see.. people dying, code blues, etc. this makes me love this show even more.
Get counseling if you can. Group therapy. Talk to any adult you know will be supportive. It's beyond scary for anybody. Treat yourself well. God bless.
My grandfather just passed of cancer, so seeing Sheldon looking at his dad like that, it was like when I saw him, my grandfather was this strong powerful man, and seeing him small thin and with tubes...it was hard for me because I always thought of him as strong. I knew he wasn’t feeling well well but. Seeing those machines even as a 28 year old man...fuck it was horrible.
My condeleces
My condolences for you.
Man I feel your pain so much. My condolences, just try and remember he isn't in pain anymore.
I don't even want to think about the pain you must be feeling. My condolences, and stay strong. You got this.
So Shelson prayed to Blaise Pascal. Yep, he's a Catholic alright. Well technically Catholics don't pray to the dead, they ask saints to intercede them in their prayers, but it's close enough.
They’re not catholic they’re baptist
@@savannahcorwin-hall3829 well, well, well...if it isn't a baptist asking help from a Catholic. ..

Blaise Pascal is not a saint. He was an enlightenment philosopher famous for his so-called "wager" on the existence of God.
Saints are typically dead
Same nurse When Howard fell with his robot hand
her mother perhap XD
Also the Fresh Prince’s mum
Seeing my dad in a induced coma with his eyes open was the hardest thing I have ever encountered, and had to deal with, and still dealing with in my whole life. Meanwhile my uncle/dads brother died January 10th while my dad died January 21st. A month later after that my first cousin died from fentanyl overdose, and 4 months later after that I lost my 17 year old dog that was my bestfriend.

My dad had a heart attack when I was 9 but luckily he survived. He was in the hospital for 3 days and I would pray every single time I felt off. Thank you lord for having my father still here today with me.🙏🏼
This show is a absolute must for my survival. Laughter keeps me alive.
My dad Harry died of a heart attack while on a fishing trip with his buddies in Canada. I was 12 and getting ready to start 7th grade. It tore me apart.
Love that nurse. She’s in both young Sheldon and big bang theory. She’s an incredible actress.
She's also a nurse in Bob ❤Abashola. Bob is played by Herschel...
"you said you liked me this way"
And you believed her? Now that's true love
Remember when in bigbang theory sheldon said that his dad died when sheldon was 14, looks like were nearing that
My husband had 3 heart attacks back to back 6 years ago, today, December 16,2016. May he Rest In Peace 😢😢 I miss and love him very deeply
The second heart attack is usually worse than the first (because it kills you). Same thing happened to my dad
Same thing happened to George 😭😢
He would soon die from another Heart Attack
Seeing the dad hooked up with the machines reminds me of when my dad got a blood clot in both his lung and his leg. He was hospitalized for a week or so. Then when he came home he was super weak. He’s always been a strong person. But you wouldn’t have known it looking at him. Thankfully he made it through it all. God bless. And he’s back to being himself 100%
That’s what happened to my dad too.
That’s the same nurse that took care of young sheldon
In the TBBT pilot, she was at the sperm bank and in two other TBBT episodes, she solved Howard's problem with the robot arm and helped with his peanut allergy. This actress has played the role of a nurse in many films and television shows including Bob hearts Abishola.

This scene really rang a bell with me.
Been there, done that, and the sound of those bleeping monitors , plus the pain and discomfort, and the fact that it's a terrifying situation to be in
Is something, that if you have been on this position, you don't forget it in a hurry. Believe you me.
Yeah tell me about it.
I was here crying (O've had family hospitalized, this is very relatable) when the prayer part came, and I burst into laughter. Such a cascade of emotions couldn't mean anything but good writing.
My dad has had four heart attacks and even died on his 3rd I get this feeling of being absolutely scared seeing him die was a scary thing and really let you see your father in a new light
"Goodbye son"
-George.................
Honestly, that’s a very Catholic thing that Sheldon did. Praying to a saint so they can intercess for you. I honestly think he would’ve found Catholic theology more intriguing, then protestant theology.
he prayed to Blaise Pascal to ask him to pray to God is he was real or not
Amazing acting from sheldon even though he had little screen time in this scene. The way his whole demeanour changes when seeing George was amazing.
Hits diff now for real my hearts broke here
Sheldon is the kind of boy who rather believes in science than the existence of God but prays whenever problems arrive.
Is that nurse immortal
Not ready for THE heart attack. George is one of my favorite characters
And when Shelton looked in the room it was kinda scary LOl 😂
Seeing Sheldon so young and scared for his dad broke my heart
This is foreshadowing right here
I know it isnt the video's subject, but sheldon asking if the word was "kaboom" is amazing
the way Mary was holding his hand made me cry even more😢😢😢
For any child this would be terrifying and hard to remember. I can even imagine Sheldon with his photographic memory.
He might have loved and be scared when he was a kid,but as Sheldon got older,he bashed his dad every chance he got. The only time he spoke nice about George ,was on a voice over in young Sheldon .
How Sheldon saw his dad in that hospital bed is how kids really remember traumatic things like that! I did.
I love that they always use the same nurse / receptionist in the Big Bang theory and Young Sheldon
My dad used to rub his thumb near his hearth when he was hurting, this scene hit specially strong bc you know how george is gonna die next season probably bc of this, and my dad passed away recently for the same reason.

It's a weird feeling - kind of like a cramp inside your chest, while at the same time your whole chest feels tensed up, while at the same time someone's jabbing their finger hard into your chest. And that's just a light one... I can't imagine what a major one feels like, and I don't wanna find out.
Sincere condolences; my Mum died last month and I miss her so much
This woman plays every medical receptionist in the Lorreverse, she played one in TBBT, Two and a half men and now young sheldon
Meaning TBBT and Two & A Half Men could be in the same universe
There was an episode where Charlie appeared for a second, I guess it was when Raj was gonna be in a magazine or something
Annie Potts is my favorite Memaw of all times. This show gets on my last nerve at times. But Annie reils it back in with sage advice & lots of laughter.
similar to sheldon, I saw my grandfather in that sort of situation as a 6 year old kid. Terrified me so badly my heart rate skyrockets around hospitals, doctors offices, doctors. I have always taken tests outside of it, healthy heart rate. I go into the doctors office and I'm terrified. The constant bad news was just... stressful. Lead to me being terrified of the doctors.
I haven’t seen a single episode of young Sheldon, but I’ve seen certain clips. I know enough to know that George was a very good character and a loving father. I’m sure the fans who’ve been with this show since the beginning are upset to say goodbye to him and the amazing actor behind the character
"You said you liked me this way" is a beautiful way to respond, even in that state he has the luxury of telling a joke to reassure and make his wife smile.
"Hes okay!
That aged like fine wine

Lol it’s the same nurse as the time Howard built the robot arm lol I love the connection
My father also had a heart attack about 7 months ago and I can definitely tell you that the way the portray the stress of it all is really accurate. Luckily I was home with him to call 911 and to get him what he needed so he's fine now but it was an experience I wish no one has to go through. All that is important is keeping your cool and trying your best to stay calm.
❤ poor George I hope he’s okay and i know he will be okay and I know he’s goin to be okay when I pray for him 😢
My Dad passed almost 6 yrs ago from a heart attack. This hits hard
George is sooo handsome 😍❤
who's here after he died of a heart attack
The look on Sheldon's face when he sees his dad in the hospital bed is brilliant acting.
Anyone notice that this is the same nurse from the very first episode of BBT and she's been in every hospital scene ❤
and still that did not make him loose weight
My dad has heart complications for his whole life. He works at a construction site painting houses and repairing some holes left in the houses. He comes home pretty late 8pm to 11pm and sits down on the couch to watch tv or his phone. He is a good dad always looking out for his children and wife as a dad should and we look over him in return too. Recently, his mom died and his dad is about to die to heart complications. It pains me seeing this scene knowing full well some day I won't get to see my dad again. I don't know when, but I always fear it will be soon before I graduate or get into college. It always feels like no matter how much time I spend with him and show him compassion and love, it isn't good enough time to spend time with him before he dies. It really hits home this scene to me.
1:41 Why do I find this so cuteeee like the way Sheldon says " MOMM!! "

My grandpa had a heart attack but instead of wanting to go to the hospital immediately he stopped at a diner because he knew the hospital food would be bad. DONT WORRY HE SURVIVED
Just started watching the show, and I must say I'm really impressed with it so far.
“Ok do it” to get out of church ;;;;> one the best & funniest lines
I remember when my dad had a heart attack. It was at his job, at night, so none of my siblings or I knew until the morning. I remember my mom calling us all down, and making us sit down on the couch. I remember the faces of my sister and brother when they heard what happened. At this point we didn't know if he was going to be okay, that made my sister cry, and my brother (a quick-witted jokester) was silent. Me however, I didn't really feel anything. Sure I was worried, but not like the rest of my family was.
The next day we went to school, and obviously the teachers knew, so they took extra care of us, treating us even more nice than before. This one teacher, I don't remember what exactly he did, but he brought me out of class and told me if I needed to I could come into his room and talk. I just nodded. I didn't get it. Why would I need to talk it out? It seemed like we already had all the facts, what else is there to talk about? Once I got back in class I connected the fact the he must have said the same to my sister and brother, and at least one of them must have come to him. (If you're wondering, no, I did not tell any of my friends. I didn't see a reason to.)
The car ride home was so quiet, it was off-putting. I could only think to myself, "People have heart attacks all the time, why should dad's be special?" I also knew people survived from heart attacks as well, he hadn't died so why were people so sad? I just didn't get it. To be fair I never saw him in the hospital, mostly because he was in surgery, but if I did... I don't think I'd would have thought like that. That night was quiet as well.
The next day my mom got the good news that my dad was okay! Yay! But.. I didn't celebrate like my mom, brother, and sister did. I hugged all of them, I gave my brother a tissue for his tears, but again, I didn't feel anything. I couldn't relate to the relief they felt, thinking about it now, I feel bad. I didn't know then and I, to this day, don't know why I didn't feel like they did about the whole situation.
Sorry, that was a huge trauma dump there lol, I just needed to get it off my chest I suppose. I know no one is going to read this, but I was nice to finally get all these thoughts down. :)
I read it. and I feel you. I've often felt like I was broken, I function fine, same as most other average humans, I laugh, I cry, but I've never felt unbridled emotion. I've suffered traumas like everyone else, had successes, had joy, experienced love of family, and of partners, and yet, I can handle myself better than others in situations like that. When my Nan (Grandmother) passed away, I was devastated, knowing that I'd never get to speak to her again, but while everyone cried, I managed to hold it together. Not because of any BS manlyness, but more because I didn't want to add the berdon of my sorrow on to my family members who were busy dealing with their own. Likewise when my Granddad passed, this man was my rock, my hero, the epitome of strength in my eyes. When he passed, it hurt, but I know not as deeply as it should've. Even now, I feel bouts of sadness for my losses, I may even shed a tear, but somehow, in a way I never asked for, and don't really want, I process these moments different to everyone else. I've never been tested, but things like this, do make me wonder whether I am on the autism spectrum, it's the only explanation my mind has been able to come up with.
But as someone who reacts in a similar way to how you did, I understand some of what you felt.
Hope all is good for you now.
@@Tiresias55 this means a lot, thank you. I haven't been officially diagnosed, but many of my friends who are diagnosed, say I'm on the autism spectrum. It made me feel a bit better, but it still sucks to think about.

My dad didn’t have a heart attack but some insane pain from liver abscess, and he’s in great shape but seeing him so frail and in pain is very scary
my dad had seizures and heart problems i didn't even know him much all i know is that he loved me his only son that he gave me the world over and he was tired of all the trips to the hospital and it eas his time to go, he died when i was seven years old and before my family even told me i knew something was wrong it took me til i was 18 years old to finally let out all the pain and sadness i felt i cried for what felt like days
What makes this scene sadder is Sheldon was probably smart enough to know the threat at hand and probably could tell the way the heart moniter kept going faster and George closing his eyes that he was close to the end. So sad, my grandpa had a stroke when I was 13 and unlike George, despite fighting for 9 months, passed away. Toughest man I ever knew. Vietnam drill lieutenant, marksman, and fought a stroke for more than half a year. Rest in peace, grandpa.
Instead of faking a heart attack Mr. and Mrs. Cooper could have taught their child respect.
What's your version of respect if your talking about the churcher preachers aren't worthy of respectf
The kid’s like nine and also autistic, there’s only so much you can do. Also this is a sitcom it’s supposed to be funny.
From what I remember, Sheldon is a more afraid of germs than he is of hospitals, but I can see how seeing that at a young age would imprint a general dislike for hospitals that stayed through adulthood

My dad had a heart attack, and triple bypass open heart surgery at 67, and I was 28, I remember it like it was yesterday, so well portrayed by the Sheldon actor. Doesn't matter how old you are he's still your dad! Incidentally my dad lived to be 97, and I had aortic replacement, valve replacent/bypass and pacemaker surgery at 64, because of a inherited a aortic bivalve!
They kept the same nurse from Big Bang
They even were smart enough to de age her to make it more plausible in universe wise
Isn’t that the nurse from the Big Bang theory?
its the same one
"Was the word Kaboom?" Had me dying 🤣
My dad had either one massive heart attack or several in quick succession, but it took him. I was 21 years old but I felt like Sheldon did in that moment when he saw into the room.
Ok hear me out. What if this shows is actually all about his dad? Like he's telling the gang about all the fun times he had with his dad and all the great time his dad had? And at the very last episode we see older Sheldon talking to every one and says and that were all the great memories I have of my dad.
No. Just like How I Met Your Mother. They didn't show the Mother until the last season and they kill her off. Because of that ending, I don't even watch the reruns anymore. So, this isn't just about Sheldon's relationship with his father, but with his family.
@@julieletford5695 you've completely misunderstood and misinterpreted the original idea. Zach's suggestion was when the series was over, we have one last scene of adult sheldon with the OG Big Bang theory gang and their children revealing that the whole show was Sheldon telling his friends stories of his youth, especially as his dad is deceased by the time of big bang theory
Interesting theory.
