We have two Siamese cats, twins, their behavior is completely different to how you describe them, apart from welcoming us when we get up in the morning, they do their own thing, hardly speak, don't pester for attention or need constant stimulation, and we can go away for days and they couldn't care less as long as the food bowl is full. The easiest cats to look after we have ever had.

The 2 that we have are the same as yours. They will wake us up in the morning but other than that. They keep each other busy and entertained when and if we do not play with them.

Mine is an alarm clock. She used to wake me up at 5 or 5:30 AM. One day my dad told me to wake him up around that time. I was being lazy so I told my cat to wake him up that time instead. The next morning my cat woke my dad up the time he wanted my meowing loudly in front of his bedroom. He had to come out to tell the cat that my bedroom is another one. In conclusion, my cat know the order, execused it perfectly. I did not train her that. She knew which room to meow to and when without me having to tell her.
P.S I wouldn’t train her that. I like to wake up late.

Yes, my two do not scratch, bite or hiss at anyone. They're very gentle with my niece who becomes ecstatic when she sees them. Even with her all they do is run away at most, and never have harmed her in any way when I pass them over for her to cuddle.

My first cat was a Siamese. My parents got him for me and my sister growing up. My mom didn’t want any pets except for fish, but after getting our Siamese next thing we know my mom started adopting kittens lol She went from not wanting pets to having 6 cats within a year 😂 Then we rescued a dog and ended up with 4 of them as well. Funny how that happens.

I had two 5 year old Siamese cats when my daughter was born, and as a newborn I was fearful of my cats, but they turned out to be the best alert system I could have. When the baby would start to move around or whimper those cats would come get me. It really depends on how the animals are raised and introduced to the new member of the family. Of course the child was taught to respect the cats, and be very careful of the cats. I think some people just let their children do as the child pleases, and we all know how that turns out.

I adopted my Harry a year ago next month. He’s my 5th Seal Point. I love him and yes, he follows me everywhere. He was intact and kept in a back room with a spayed female. I think he was the stud. Probably has pedigree papers but I didn’t receive any. Betting that he is not only a father multiple times but also a grandfather! I’m just so happy to be able to giving him a loving home. The saying is that if you adopt a cat it will not change the world, but for that cat it will. 🐾🐾

I'm adopting a Siamese cat. A young adult male. It's just me and my service dog and we need a pal. My last Siamese cat lived to age 21 years. So things should be fun until everyone learns the Siamese rules! My Rough Coated Collie is very calm. I work from home and I have time and lots of love to give. The cat will only be alone on days I have to leave home with my service dog for appts. Our home is 2,000 sq ft of exploration!

I got a Siamese cat when I was 7. That cat would hide under my bed until my mom or dad would come tuck me in…..soon as that door shut, up came the purring fur bundle that slept right next to my neck. As I grew into a teenager, the cat now well seasoned “sneak” found other ways to hide, the closet in my room…..my mom would open the door and say “is Snicker in here”? She would look under the bed then give up and say goodnight. 5 minutes later, cats purring on the bed. This went on for years. When she died I swore I would never allow myself to be so gutted and hurt again. I switched to dogs. I can’t ever seem to settle on anything easy…..got myself a beautiful Dalmatian and although he is challenging, he is my best buddy. After all these years, I saw a Siamese rescue or adoption……all of those feelings just bubbled up from the past. I love these animals, I am 63 and I like them more than most people.

I had a Siamese Blue Point named Sarah for 19 years who had to be put to sleep a couple of months ago. I miss her beauty and intelligence, not to mention her distinct meow throughout the house. She also could eat like a champ and still maintain her girlish figure. I surely miss her every day. 😿

It has been forever since we had a Siamese Cat in the house. What is strange about her is she never meowed. I was shocked the day I learned Siamese were talkative cats. Either way, hopefully in the near future I will be able to adopt a couple of kitten, be it Siamese or another breed. And yes, I love cats that meow, I also like chill cats, and pretty much any sort of cat really.

I have had Siamese cats almost my entire 70 years of life. They are incredible, but as the video states, definitely not for everyone. They do indeed become far more attached to people than typical house cats which often attach to a location more than they do a person. Siamese are definitely NOT aloof but will worm their way into any gathering to become the center of attention.
The closest thing to a Siamese I've had is my present little darlin', Juni the Savanah. Juni goes with me almost everywhere: shopping, dining, long walks on the beach (well, maybe not he beach, living in Idaho). She has most of the characteristics of a Siamese with a definite "wild cat" dimension to her which can make her "spicy" or very dangerous to your hide if she gets mad. Savanahs are definitely not for a first time cat companion.

And i have a nice outside backyard garden courtyard where my siamese cat can run and jump and climb and hunt and play outside :) i also talk to my siamese cat quite often like parents talk to their little kids, and my siamese cat looks at me and actually talks back to me all the time ! we actually have full blown conversations ! he he ! :) we also play quite alot with his play tunnel and play footballsoccer with the ping pong ball, and we always cuddle together with him on my lap either on the couch or in bed ! lol :) it is bit like having a 2 year old toddler permanantly and i love it ! lol :)
