We walk up the pedestrian footpath and have a chat with security before returning back to the public land once they ask us to leave.
Security then come out and start filming us so we ask for a copy.
Backup arrives but no SIA Licence on display.
Then Toolstation staff come out for a final chat.

The phone call changed everything, he was obviously informed of your rights as his attitude to you and ensuring the two other members of staff were hurriedly sent away, changed. Loved to have listened to that conversation 😂😂
Absolutly mate., That guy was giving DJ a proper intimidating, "I'm gonna f*ck you up" stare... Then the phone call, & he's suddenly Mr Polite, & the other Two have vanished... I can imagine the panic in the managers office.., "Get him on the phone NOW..!" 🤣
If you announce your visit in advance they then have an opportunity to alter and change, but unannounced catches the reality of the site. Another great audit.
I noticed a health & safety issue regarding the overgrown vegetation that forces people to walk onto the road putting staff and visitors in danger, this should be addressed by the company or who ever is responsible.

In my 20's I used to do Doorwork (on a weekend for fun) as well as my regular 9-5 IT job. When the SIA licence came out the the number of people on my 2-3 day course who found it "hard" was astonishing. I'm not berating people for wanting a basic job, but most of them aren't capable of doing anything else.

@@stever456 there should be a sign stating who the security of the site is managed by and who to contact in an emergency, I.e. if there is a fire, or the police, HMRC, trading standards etc need to gain access, or if a member of the public notices something.

They need to be reminded what the fines are for breach of GDPR, its a lot of money, Unfortunately, companies are still not being held to task on these issues, Then again the training for personnel is a joke, not much more than a tick box or a re-takable quiz.
OMG!!!!… Firstly another great upload DJ.. I just had a go at auditing the local police…. They are so so defensive lol… I was smiling and just insistent throughout…. I don’t wish to do this regularly as would rather watch you do it… Keeps my stress levels down.. but certainly a rush. … I had my 2 Nikons with me a D3 and a D5 both with long lens 200 ad a 500… No videoing but i will attach the go pro next time…. They said i was suspicious looking lol… Really?just because i have 2 cameras and i am a wildlife photographer who happens to be near a police station….Really odd response from the police ..

@@NihilisticHedonism Lol… i wish i could but I did not have GoPro with me… I will make sure i am better prepared for an altercation next time if it occurs… It literally took me by surprise, but I held my ground and refused to give my name or indeed why i was there with 2 cameras. I was polite but firm with them and asked the officers why they were bothering me when I was working taking pictures for a client. The said i looked unusual??? I said what ?… Please go away i am in my 50s and don’t want to be bothered with this level of paranoia. They walked off and said that they were only enquiring. I said no you are quite obviously bored… Ill leave these uploads to DJ etc.

When I lived in France I didn’t think my French language was not of a sufficient standard to be employed. How come all these foreigners get jobs with such bad English?
The guys at the end were polite and professional. I also noticed that the road markings were not very good and need redone.
Don't you find it strange that all of these overly qualified lawyers, solicitors and so on, come to this country with all those qualifications and knowledge of English/UK Law and can only become security guards? Weird.

@@paddycaseygsxr DS (Door supervisor for licenced premises) is a 4 day course. CCTV in public space course is 2 days. plain "security guard" is 2 days as well, but with that you can't work on a licenced premises (ie, somewhere that sells alcohol)

ToolStation should sell some hedge trimmers to whomever is responsible for maintaining the public footpaths. Videos show lots of footpaths in need of a trim. I wave any commissions on the sale.
Another benefit DJ provides is viewers can see if businesses have hiring signs posted.
The Police regularly fail to identify and tell you when they start recording and security fail to show their security licence. Poor attitude

Always interesting to watch peoples reactions and see new sites, I drive lorries sometimes so I deliver to some of these sites, putting their postcode in is very useful, I can look at a place I've never been to before which helps me know where I'm going when I get there, thanks, DJ.

They need their bushes cutting back. The footpath is a safe way to access the site for visitors. This is a Health and Safety issue.
You have shown plenty of evidence of security not wearing their SIA cards but you have to wonder how many of these people actually get fined for breaking their rules, it seems a lot of these security break the law and yet nothing seems to be done about it .

the mini 2 is a great drone, but the mini 3, is so much better, I started out with the 2 and within 2 or 3 weeks bought the mini 3, with the flymore kit direct from DJI and had the DJI care package too.

Hi DJ, how you doing,,I'm fine thanks..when I was a lad ,,I used to go to my aunt's house,where you are videoing now,,she had a lovely cottage,,just by the gates of the unit where the security guard is.,,with the sea only 20 yards away .It was a glorious place for a kid,,but the tide receeded back too it's normal place,,for years the place was flooded,but fun to .visit .all my family drowned there ,,and the dog ,and the budgie.we had a mass burial in the garden.if you go to just pass the security hut ,you can see the graves.its a nice cemetery ,,as my aunt used say.true story.

Just letting you know (as I have radio knowledge) that it's a good job your radio didn't work!
It's legal to listen to the security radio but not to act on any information or rebroadcast any information that you got from it under "Section 48 of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006", it's also illegal to "obtain information as to the contents, sender or addressee of any message" under "The Investigatory Powers Act 2016", you can find all this by searching for "Ofcom Radio interception 10 November 2017".

alot of them now dont use the pmr they may use uk general 449.3125 MHz. 449.4000 MHz. 449.4750 MHz. but most if not all have gone digital and you need a digital scan to find them WHISTLER TRX-1E DIGITAL ,a lot use Motorola digital radio i have a dp4600 and there all on there

You need the UNIDEN 3600XLTD as most security use a Digital NXDN OR DMR frequency.

I’ve seen you call the companies Data Handlers a couple of times. The organisations are generally Data Controllers, or some may be Data Processors if they are working on instruction from the Data Controller.
And DJ is both. The fact that he asserts that he is not governed by GDPR is a load of bollocks. Just look at Article 2.
DJ is taking more care of their security than their security,
Tell you what I think would make a good video. Next time you have a interaction with the police, let them see you videoing whatever you are, then put the camera away and record the interaction covertly so everyone can see what they are like without them knowing they’re been recorded.
I think it could be a bit tricky….
It would be so nice to come across a security person who has English as their first language. And even the Anglo Saxon types tend to add a 'K' to words end in 'ing' and add several 'A's' into the middle of words like 'Out' - i.e. get oaaaaaat' etc....
