Lady at the Hub is a wonderful delight. DJ ups the game for everybody with the depth of details shared and virtual tour of the industrial estate. The Crick parish designates the bridleway as EM13 and was resurfaced in 2017 using the windfarm funds.
2021 article on the new Royal Mail facility notes they opted for roof light panels for the warehouse rather than solar. Similar on many of the other warehouses.
I love how you do try your best to work with the managers rather than against them while still maintaining your right to film.

That lady was a total sweetheart. So warm and welcoming. The boss was polite, but sadly misinformed about access which was somewhat embarrassing for him.

The lady was lovely but you could tell the boss was just thinking shut up when she was telling DJ about the place and tried to usher her off as he didn't want staff talking to a man who was filming .
I tried soooo hard to understand where the manager was coming from, but i failed. You were both stood looking at the map which clearly showed public rights of way and bridleways, yet he still insisted it was private. ????? The lady was far more suited to the job.
All land in the UK is privately owed by someone or something. All public places and public rights of way and bridleways are on private land. But the fact that they are on private land does not mean that the owner has any right to trespass anyone. The bridleways and public rights of way are like the pavements owned by the local council. You can't be asked to move on from them. By designating public rights of way on private land the owner is giving up their rights to control what people do on them. The owners also take on legal responsibilities to maintain them.
@@TheSadButMadLad yep good explanation of it. I have a public footpath across my land I own it maintain it and keep it accessable but it's mine but have to ensure it is accessable and safe. I can kick people off if they stray off the path, I also have a dog's on lead policy as have horses in the field. The council said I cannot do this but by law they should be on a leash and I have the right to exterminate the animal if it goes for my livestock. So council agreed leash is best 😂
@@laceandwhisky There is no law that requires a dog to be kept on a lead in a field with a horse in it. Your sign could be construed as an obstruction which would be a criminal offence. Definitely a breach of National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 section 57(1).

A bridle/footpath can be on private land but the public have unobstructed access to it and the land owner must ensure that the path is clear, for example after ploughing a field the farmer should roll a path to keep access opem

DJAudits although the bridal path is on private land it doesn't make the bridal path as public owned just accessable but the land owner has to maintain it and keep its access and use clear. I have a public footpath going across my field, my land but publicly accessible. Peeeses me off but there it is.

@@DJAUDITS yes, I know a farmer who plough's his field for crops and the kids in the local school walk the A to B stomping a path through. He does put red painted sticks in the ground to try and get a straight path again 😂
@@DJAUDITS You can only plough it if the path goes across the field rather that at the edge. You must always restore the footpath within a certain time afterwards though (think its about 2 weeks).

And be able to start a T.V series, based around how these industrial units operate from the inside. One day this will most definitely happen! Dj you've come along way since filming police stations! This channel is now most entertaining and educational!
Once he's got the subscription numbers to make it obvious to the companies that they will have a large market, plus when security stop being assholes and learn that photography is not a crime, then I'm sure he will start to get invitations to visit and tour. Maybe even get approached by companies rather than turning up or making appointments.

What a fantastic place & the lady in reception is absolutely gorgeous! I kind of understand "The Boss" being cautious, despite you being your usual polite & knowledgeable self, he doesn't know you & possibly doesn't want to risk any harm to the reputation of such a great looking place.

Amazing...i cant believe the size of the Royal Mail Hub. I suppose with all the parcels they are handling nowdays they need a bigger place. Great staff both in The Hub and at Royal Mail. Your videos are really educational DJ...keep up the Great work.
FYI, A Bridleway is not automatically public land. Public Rights of Way (PROWs) can be on any land, including privately owned land. PROWs are Footpaths, Bridleways, Restricted Byways and Byways Open to All Traffic. Most of the time these are on private land, but the designation creates a right of way over it. Ordnance surveys maps, or their app is a good way to see PROWs. Other footpaths that you have a right to pass over are those associated with adopted highways, such as pavements along an adopted road, or other (usually hard surfaced) pavement joining areas of adopted highway or around housing for example. These pavements come under highways rights and legislation. All of the above have a right for the public to use.

You hit the nail on the head when you said ‘auto picker” it’s like a dolly with a brain I could use that at work to help carry my tools and and other things that are too heavy to be carrying around..

A public footpath or bridleway gives you the right to pass along it whenever you like but it can be on private land and privately owned

Great video DJ. The lovely lady in the HUB was exceptionally nice & polite. She clearly enjoys her job too (a rarity nowadays). Everyone was pleasant, including the ‘intercom lady’. She’d clearly been misinformed by someone who thought they knew the rules - not her fault of course 😉

An old OS Map would no doubt show a bridleway going through a field. A bridleway being a horse track must go back decades and decades. The land might've changed hands over the years, but the bridleway always remains a bridleway.

DJ apparently the new Royal Mail super hub has new massive machines that are not fit for purpose and all have to be changed. The American company that built them told Royal Mail this but they went ahead with it. But they won’t tell you that. Cracking video as always 👊

Not much to see really I delivered there a few times last year .
I follow audits sympathetically so I’m on your side in essence but I’m going to take issue with the bridle way being public , it’s a common misconception, if you own land with a bridle way or footpath, which I do you still own the land it is privately owned but you must provide access across it to the public , so yes it’s publicly accessible but privately owned
You`re incorrect regarding your initial statement on this video - ' The Bridleway is public land'. Bridleways/PROW in general are almost always on privately owned land. The Local Authority/Councils have responsibility for the surface of the route and protects the rights of users to pass or repass over it. Love your work DJ !

You can have a bridleway passing through private property and the landowner cannot restrict your movements. In South Wales we have a bridleway passing through Tata Steels and they cannot restrict the publics movement.
