The Best Chicken Fried Steak You'll Ever Eat

This is the best Chicken Fried Steak that I have ever made. This is absolutely the best Chicken Fried Steak hands down. Cracker Barrel ain't got nothing on this, folks. Steak
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 large egg
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup butter milk
6 cube steaks pounded to 1/3 inch thick
4 to 5 cups peanut oil
Cream Gravy
1 medium onion minced
1/8 tsp dry thyme
2 medium cloves garlic minced or pressed through a garlic press
3 Tblsp All purpose flour
1/2 cup chicken broth or stock
2 cups whole milk
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 or more tsp black pepper or cayenne pepper
