that would actually be cool as fuck. Dracula appears every tiime mankind starts going to shit. The Master appears every time mankind is totally opressed by the Evil and almost vanishing from the planet
I think there are good reasons why it sounds the way it does. This was one of the SNES launch titles and this was in the first level of the game. So its a "demonstration" of SNES musical capabilities. The organ is a kind of pre-industrial "midi machine", an organ's registers imitate instruments at integer tones so it masks midi's "clunkiness". And Im sure they had castlevania in mind looking for a catchy tune to hook the audience. Shame that the real super castlevania (IV) was so overlooked.
This is still my favorite cover of Fillmore, even after all these years. It seems to really grasp the tone and timbre of the original, without sacrificing its pace, or unduly emphasizing different instruments.
GOD FUCK I SPENT AN HOUR AND A HALF COMBING THROUGH EVERY CASTLEVANIA GAME'S SOUNDTRACKS TO FIND THIS SONG ONLY TO LEARN THAT IT WASN'T EVEN FROM A CASTLEVANIA GAME Worth it though. This song is amazing.
Awesome remix. I love actraiser and actraiser2. I could listen to this all day. it motivates me. one of the best songs for one of the best games and one the best levels. I love it. this is perfect
This popped into my recommended about 5 years ago and I loved it immediately despite not even knowing what it was. After searching I discovered it's a Snes game. My favourite console!? And one I've been lucky to possess my entire life. I bought Actraiser immediately as soon as I could and have been loving it immensely. Can't believe I hadn't heard of it until this song. People call it the precursor to Castlevania and I somewhat agree. It's more like the cousin to Castlevania - less famous, but just as talented. Definitely play this game. Especially if, like me, you need a break from modern games feeling unfulfilling.
Both games are about defeating demonic evil. Makes sense. What is pathetic is how many people are surprised that Castlevania and ActRaiser would both feature Organ music. Wow.
This theme is too awesome for just a forest stage. This should be used in the final battle against ultimate evil where the Master achieves the ultimate power to vanquish evil!
Rivalled by only the Rock Arrange version of this track. You've done very well. The other one's more aggressive, but this one's a thoughtful sort of aggressive. Enough to motivate heroes and gods to save the day again. ^_^
it sounds like a Castlevania song because both franchises were based on european christianity, so there's influences of organ and gothic-style orchestral arrangements in both series.
@theaaroneason Eleven. Eleven tracks, and a lot of octave layering. Because the S-YXG50 samples are ass. Once I get the money for an MU moduel those days will be over.
This arrangement kinda sounds like something that you'd hear in a Castlevania game. Maybe it's the organ that's playing? Still a very nice job there. (Looks like you haven't lost your touch, eh?)
Just listen to the original. A commenter said...
"Best Castlevania song that was never in a Castlevania game."
Yeah, no joke. And great cover.
wtf is castlevania is the best oh shit
Isn't it sad that ActRaiser is better than all but one or two Castlevania games, yet we only got ONE sequel?
I don't remember saying that, but I agree with that guy.
Konami thought the same thing, that's why they got Yuzo Koshiro to work on Portrait of Ruin's OST.
@@joeygreathouse3029 better? Lol try harder troll
Actvania: Raiser of the night
i would buy that
Reading your comment I couldn't help but think that would be a great brand name for a chocolate candy bar.
Exiled Monastic raisin of the night
that would actually be cool as fuck.
Dracula appears every tiime mankind starts going to shit.
The Master appears every time mankind is totally opressed by the Evil and almost vanishing from the planet
Sounds like my penis

最高ですね!
アクトレイザーをプレイして初めてこの曲を聴いた時の衝撃が鮮烈に蘇ります
Imagine playing this on a pipe organ at some church. Awesomeness!!!!
OH YEAH ! ;)
Priest: Ok time to pray
Player: Plays this
@@artemis9012 time to pray...hard.
It would drown out that T H I C C bass tho :(
This is probably the best song I've ever heard in my entire life
Same
You need to try out some of his other covers too, like dracula's tears from dawn of sorrow and invitation of a crazed moon from portrait of ruin
余計な事ばっかしてるメタルフィルモアが多い中、これに辿り着けた…。最強です。

Worth it though. This song is amazing.
This is a FANTASTIC cover of one of my favorite songs from the SNES period of games as I was growing up. Thank you for making it!!!
Had this game been released on the TurboGrafx CD, this is what the music would sound like.
**SNES CD**
Nah, TurboGrafx CD dipshit.
CASTLERAISER: GODS AMONG SAINTS
This is SNES " Actraiser " Music by " Yūzō Koshiro ". Brilliant
Still the greatest opening level theme in game history
Brought here by the rabbit hole of music from Grand Poo World 2. This version is great!
I came here from Order of the Crimson Arm
This is one of the songs that regularly gives me goosebumps. So damn epic.
Awesome remix. I love actraiser and actraiser2. I could listen to this all day. it motivates me. one of the best songs for one of the best games and one the best levels. I love it. this is perfect

Update: just discovered Actraiser Renaissance on the switch. Currently having the time of my life.
いや100点だわ。SFCオリジナルがそのまま生きている。この音源てアクスレイも聴いてみたい。。
This is amazing, I got strong Castlevania vibes from this also.
+dantoniOH87 Also the BASS is so clear, I appreciate that a lot.
+dantoniOH87 the base is what i noticed more of too. it adds a bit more... i dont know... power?
Both games are about defeating demonic evil. Makes sense.

Probably the best MIDI-like rendition out there.
God bless you for every time you sneezed and I wasn’t there.
This is seriously the best song I've heard remade probably period. This. Shit. Kills.
You captured the forest theme's inherent awesomeness with this track! Fantastic job! :D
This theme is too awesome for just a forest stage. This should be used in the final battle against ultimate evil where the Master achieves the ultimate power to vanquish evil!

Had this on my favorites for a few years now and it still gives me chills.
I like how this got suggested to me because of the recent reveal of the remake. lol
Miss when this dude would make music.
How did I get this as a recommendation now? This is freakin sweet
Seems very much done in the style of Symphony of the Night. Great!
Brillant!! Thx for the immediate flashback.. i am just 14 and sitting in front of my SNES again.
For some reason I can’t help but hear Jonathan and Charlotte from castlevania yelling as they swap back and forth.
Packed with so much energy. I love it.
this is the best filmore ever!
Well this is officially my favorite one you've done now
fuck I loved Actraiser
2 was ass though, wish they'd remake 1 or do a third.
Wish granted!
I love Actraiser I music. Very nicely done!
Ah, Yuzo Koshiro's Fillmore theme. Or, in this incarnation, "What if J.S. Bach scored a Castlevania game."
...has anyone made a Fugue out of this theme?
素晴らしい!
Never realized how much this sounds like a Castlevania song :)

The best.
I LOVE ACTRAISER AND ACTRAISER 2. THEY ARE AMAZING. I WISH THEY WOULD MAKE ACTRAISER 3.
Fantastic Song.
This sond IS awesome
Great work with this song love it.
Sturdy cover
Absolutely fantastic!
geeez! u make so many tracks sound good! U really kno how to identify with the soul of videogame music
i feel depressed now... FFWF was my favorite game as a kid
Dude man awesome track I was just playing this game 2 days ago..... Hit it right on the spot.... Well done
Better than the original, amazing!!!
Well, it's busier at least.
*Insert Rockman Minus Infinity reference

(Always wanted to try one of these...)
Yes! Yes! This is amazing! >:D
So I'm not the only one who loves actraiser ost for it's "castlevanianess"
Well damn, every time I visit your channel I get sad Windows 7 doesn't like S-YXG50. Nicely done.

I'm sorry but I don't think there's anything more delicious than the drum kits of the YXG series
And thus, God descent upon the mortal realm saying
I hath come to make miracles and smite some asses...
And i'm out of miracles.
awesome. amazing. the best remix i have heard.
Akumajo - Yoro no kokyokyoku
Royal Hunt!
Tnx to Inugami Korone I reached this video. And all related to this song.
This arrangement kinda sounds like something that you'd hear in a Castlevania game. Maybe it's the organ that's playing? Still a very nice job there. (Looks like you haven't lost your touch, eh?)
Excelent Remix!
I just subscribed to you. I think I love you. In a manly, totally not gay way
good, very gooooood
Atheist: I don't believe in god.
Listens to this:
Atheist becomes a catholic
OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Yeah, it sounds quite similar to "Reincarnated Soul", the level 1 theme of Castlevania: Bloodlines. Same key too.
fucking great :3
Do you have a playlist of these videos that have the midi visuals?
Seems you dig most of the same VGMs I do.
epic
still feels like a castlevania track no matter how you format it
If Actraiser were a PS1 Game....
bass guitar is louder on SNES.
Do the bloodpool stage
The beginning sounded like brawl stars
so this music is made with a organ a keyboard and drums?
yeah. kinda like Richters theme.
Download link ? No download link...
Funny thing is, Super Castlevania 4 came out a year before this.
