So after struggling for a long time with my laptop I finally got the video recording software to stop recording the vid at too high of a speed. There's some imperfections audible in this, sadly, that I couldn't fix without altering the core sound of the track. Still think it turned out pretty good. Did I mention Dave Wise was fuckin' awesome?
You really nailed it. Not just the instruments, but the subtleties in the rhythm too (many don't). May a squadron of cakes and pizza land at your doorstep.
uhm179 Nah, then he'd have to work off those calories. Send some strippers instead!
@ "why not both?"
Me: Is the bass going to do the thing? Is the bass going to do the thing?
=bass does the thing=
Me: =shakes fist triumphantly= YESS!! finally someone did the bass thing right!
***** Yeah, where the last 2 notes are inverted in stereo. Other covers/remixes either quickly pan the notes (e.g. one on left, next on right) or avoid the effect completely. It's nice to finally hear one that does it right.
I never understood this comment until I actually went to do this. Damn good job if you ask me.
Taking songs like this that already sounded incredible and rearranging them with this even deeper, smoother synth backdrop than they already had, it's just like velvet to listen to. While, as you said, not every little nuance is perfect, the overall product is something very nice to listen to.
These stages are very cool. Hard but very fun never the less. My favorite of the 3 is probably Bramble Scramble. I just liked flying around shooting stuff with Squawks as I flew through the thorn fields. I have beaten this game countless times. It's addicting and is to this day and age a marvel of technology. How something in the era of the SNES could produce something of the caliber these 3 Donkey Kong games did is simply astonishing. This seriously seems to go very close to the maximum usage of the system's limitations if not slightly exceeds them. I first played this when I was 4-6. I am 26 now and guess what I still like the DKC SNES trilogy even after all these years. That's how powerful and impacting these games are.
warioland523 Well said, i grew up with these games and it is still my favourite game of all time! DKC2 Emotional and challanging game.
Not only is the instrumentation spot on, but so is the spelling of the song name! ;)
Perfect. This remix is just perfect.
(If i'm lucky in finding a MM8 remix of this, I would be laughing my head off)
My favorite song long DKC2 EVER!! THANK YOU!!
I like the way the chords change.
ahhh... i remember playing this very stage in dkc2! sooo many memories...
@Daniel Athens The return trip is a lot shorter, you're welcome.
this is heaven
Man right in the childhood :'( So many memories with this theme I know I'm not the only one that this song touched my heart.
You're right, man. This theme brings back so many childhood memories...
oh man ... this reminds me to so many beautiful moments these days ...
well done, dude. well done! ...thank you for bringing up so beautiful memories in me.
Wow.
I mean, your arrangements are always fantastic, but WOW.
Wow! I love it!
So far you've covered 2/3 of my favorite DK songs. Now all thats left is the carnival stage.
Eargasm.
I'm about to cry.
You're awesome at this stuff, I love it when the drums kick in :)
takes me to my childhood...
You're spot on with these. I might make some extended versions of these and I will link your channel in the video descriptions.
There's an unusually sizeable demand for extended video game music vids. Feel free to do so~

I did your mining melancholy remix. Easily my favorite one.
I made one of them stank ugly faces when the drums hit... Sick beat, man.
I broke into tears
SImply excellent
this is amazing!
@Valexz11PM I scaled the "brightness" controller upwards in the program, which is really more like a lowpass filter.
Sorry for the late reply. :
EPIC!
Came for the music, came to the music.
Still not sure why its called stickerBUSH symphony when there's not a single sticker nor bush to be seen in this level.
Nice job on the midi.
A stickerbush is actually a thornbush.
YES OH MY GOD YESSSSS
Magnifico
Boy how i hated playing these stages, especially the ones where you had to fly on the parrot. Absolute perfection on this piece though! :D

I think you are thinking of the mini-boss "battle" with Screech. Yeah he was tough. You really had to move it or you would literally come in DEAD last. No really you lose the race and he kills you.
warioland523 that was perhaps the worst one, lol. But there are a couple in the game where you are actually on foot / climbing vines, i think (its been a heck of a long time since i last played mine)

Well there is the true final level before the true last boss of the game where you have to play as all the animal buddies. That section with Squawks can be hard in that level unless you take things slow and make only minor movements. The wind in combination with enemies and thorns can really screw you over.
@ToonPal Yeah, I get it, you hate the chorus effect. Sorry to hear that.
one guy seems to don't understand the spirit of DKC

hermoso
@couvepodre It's possible but, the amount of percussive samples used in the track may take a VERY long time to emulate properly.
I love this song! If you like this one you should have a listen to Retro Remix Revue's version on itunes.
