This new set is great just alone for the fact that we now have the phrase “suck me” added to the whole “juice me” “squeeze me” “milk me” lexicon.

He did skip a green pepper to override that 50hp yaks cucumber there at 34:30 which would have probably resulted in him winning that last one (source: dude just trust me) but can't hardly blame him when playing a brand new pack and already braining this much with the team.
@@Pynski_ Wouldn't the green pepper get removed from the yak the moment it hit itself? He could've put it on the leech though, which would have improved his chance to win.
@@larswijn That's true. I don't know how the bell pepper works in the shop phase so you are making a good point. But I still thing the bell pepper would have been a better call. Just shows you when you think you got it all figured out someone calls you out on your own bullshit. I'll take the L on this one.
@@Pynski_ Little late so you might already be aware by now, but getting hurt during the shop phase does remove the Bell Pepper. Saw it in one of Keenoe's videos

(For those that don’t know, the “Blobfish” doesn’t really look like that, pictures that have gone around only look like such because it’s, essentially a corpse, the Blobfish makes it habitat in the high pressure of the deep ocean, so removing it from that environment fucks up its body, among other things- it’s the same deal as throwing a human into space and naming us after how our corpse would inflate)

7:53 "The iguana hasn't worked for us because we've been buffing it accidentally so it doesn't synergize with the toad as well as it could" NL sees the flaw of the strategy but never thinks about solving it. You can just buff the toad, either give it a strawberry and change the iguana's item to something else, or just use fried shrimps on the toad (tho this is more risky)

Everybody when this pack came out: "this pack is so anti scaling and getting one big 50/50, it really supports really good synergies and theory crafting!"
The actual gameplay: *buffing one unit to 50/50 as soon as possible and then mollywhopping the enemy team on turn 7*
The thing I don't like about this pack is that there are so many useless animals or animals that require synergies that are actually just garbage (even with their synergies too).
It's just the panda man, he's too strong for a tier 1 unit
This is so true. Some combos are completely broken and need to be reworked if not removed.
everyone thinks this about every autobattler when a new set is out… truth is when ppl have played for a bit and the meta is established, prominent teams will always prevail (in this game, it’s scaling 1 big unit)
@@Philgob and tbh with you, sap is at its best when you're either getting one big fat 50/50 unit or causing a chain reaction of either damaging every unit before they can hurt you or buffing all your units
The new foods 🥦 and 🍤 work great when you have 2 of the same unit. Their stats cant drop below 1 with food so buff them with each and combine later works great!
I feel like this very trick is the secret to get insane scores right now on the beta branch, combined with making X/1's with pepper and ability upside like the stork. After I figured it out my 10-win rate is almost 35%. Getting 2 stats (+4,-2) for 3 gold is meh. Getting 4 is great. And with the current build, shrimp and broccoli is tier 2 (not 3, like when NL played here) which matters a lot, because now you can buff then combine your early units that you normally 2 star round 3/4.

I think the triceratops triggers would have quickly made up for the lion not getting its own trigger. But at least NL is finally understanding koala power.
32:50 used 3 gold on lolipop to upgrade his Yak to a 5 7 after combining instead a 7 7 if he just combined the Yaks without lolipop. The rest of the run was incredible though.

do you know when combining 2 pets, the game takes the best attack stat and best hp stats of both pets and give them +1/+1.
example: if you have a 4/6 yak and a 5/3 yak, you can combine them to get 6/7 yak
this man combined 2 yaks instead of having 2 yaks and getting more triggers like he was planning to. 4-head
Prob didn't realize lvl 2 leech still does only 1 damage.

idk when this was recorded but the lion has since been nerfed. which…. makes sense since it was the most broken pet the game has ever had (discounting the tapir glitch)

Hey NL, a tip about the broccoli and fried shrimp - if you have two base units in the squad/in the shop, you can feed one a broccoli and one a fried shrimp and THEN combine and you functionally just got a +5/+5

29:25 Could have bought Triceratops and got some hurt triggers from it, Lion was already super high stats and it would have accelerated the Koala more. Just because the Lion's ability doesn't work with tier 5 and 6, doesn't mean it's impossible for you to take them!

Leech-Yak-Koala is such a fun combo to play. You need luck and lives to really make it pop but if you do you're in for a great time.

Vulture needs an immediate debuff. It's so easy to get to 10 with it. You can have a decent unit and pop out a bunch of level one spawners and demolish teams way stronger. Vulture is the Turkey Fly right now. haha I don't feel like there is many builds at the moment from this pack.
NL didnt realize if he buy a new yak and combine it, the higher HP yak will replace it current stat +1, so you dont need a lolipop to keep it alive. same apply if you buy a brocoli for one of the leech then combine them, the -2 attack debuff will be covered by the other leech with higher attack. please NL think for 2 more seconds.

he shouldve kept the yak separate. the second leech becoming healthier wont matter when it inevitably will combine. you could also boost the middle leech with shrimp. even if the health becomes one, because its attack is higher, it will go first, then the back leech will suck off that extra hp leaving middle leech with the same hp.
you think he'll ever realize that the shrimp wont kill his pets?
If you give a cucumber to the animal a leeches sucking than the leech will gain the cucumber both and the animal that gets hurt by the leech won't lose any HP so you won't have to worry about that

Watching him not buy the frozen yak like 3 times to give his yak on the field 6/7 (I think it would be 6) hp when it was on like 1/2 hp and instead buying things like peaches, soup, and even a lollypop, then buying the yak when it was already a 2/6 hurt my brain

I think the game could improve beta if they added 1 additional gold to every round to even out the amount of rolls needed to level
The koala run was great, I played a similar build and had success, it helps scale in a pack where that's difficult. Now the frog only swaps at the start of battle so the strategy of continuously buffing(moving stats to new unit) won't work. At least that's what I noticed when I played yesterday and this morning
