German guy, living in the Netherlands here. Those repairs are very clever! I used the metal bracing with nails before and I had heard of using super glue and baking soda before, but I've never seen it used in this way. Thanks for the inspiration!

I often use two part epoxies and stir them with popsicle sticks. After applying the epoxy, I cut and press the stick across the repair to reinforce it (since the stick already has glue on it). The nails are a cool idea.
I like the process with an inverted solder tip... :)

Very helpful. I restore old Chinese scooters and all the plastic are always damaged. I frequently use J-B Plastic Bonder Structural adhesive or Temu sells a great, cheap, metal-based 2 part epoxy (think JB Weld) that sets rock hard, is machinable and bonds to plastic.($4)

I am in Taiwan, thanks for your sharing regarding plastic material fixing technique? so far as I saw most of the fixed items were PVC PE，can you share PC materials one or to fix PC material is same procedure as others?

Is that regular super glue as he said that is cyanoacrylate whatever that is - Romanian: o fi superglue obișnuit? ca a spus că este cianoacrilat deși mai jos in alt comentariu spune că e superglue normal - dacă găsești pe undeva poate spui și aici te rog - și scrie și în romana daca vrei că am un amic și nu știe engleza dar e pasionat de chestii din astea - s-ar putea sa ajute și pe altii
@@UnulOarecareda, este superglue. Cianoacrinulatul = superglue. Îl gasesti in diverse forme și cantități. Au la mathouse lângă case de 6 ml. Mai găsești și în alte magazine de bricolaj. Dar ăla l-am testat și este ok. Și la preț este bun.

I have a brakey on my van headlight that is held together with hot glue, maybe now is the time to try this method. Great videa showing different problems and how to overcome them.

I'm struggling to think of another application, but if you imagine a thin sheet of plastic that has been formed into a decorative shape and has cracked/split. You can't get behind the plastic, so you can only repair it from the side that is visible. Such as a shower tray that doesn't need to be load-bearing.@@TipsVN1

I learned it from teachers, videos and information online
in a similar vein, depending on what sticks to the plastic or other broken thing, a patch made out of old blue jeans stuck to the back of a crack with large quantities of liquid epoxy saturating the fabric makes a pretty solid fix.

For soaking baking soda do you use just regular "thin" CA glue, or do You dilute it more? If dilute, what do you use for that?
I just use the regular Super Glue
