This New Motion Simulator by Dbox & RSeat Is Almost Invisible !

- At simracing Expo 2022 Dbox Cube controls and Rseat were showing off a new motion platform that hides everything needed for full motion within a nifty motion sledge that can then be used with simigs , seats or anything placed on-top.
Obviously this is not likely to find its way into the average house but for events , marketing and the experiences industries this super tiny platform could be a perfect fit for a whole host of projects.

I've noticed with some of the motion simulators, there is alot of monitors shaking.
It would make you carsick if the monitor wouldn't shake. Or do you mean more shaky then the motion sim?
This looks like a great turn key solution from DBOX. Would love to upgrade mine with these newer platform type setup!
I wonder if I would actually move this from the sim rig to the theater seat and back again. Probably not. Add traction loss and more for the same price and you'll have a product.

This seems pretty pointless tbh. The conversion from horizontal actuator mounting to vertical movement just ads unnecessary complexity and point of failure for no real gain. The proprietary nature of the rig will also make it difficult to mount accessories, disqualifying it straight away for most of the high end enthusiasts. And I am not sure why would I want to put a sofa on a motion platform to watch a movie. Overall it looks to be in a similar bracket as Vesaro etc...cool looking rig for people who have money, but not a lot of experience or interest in simracing hardware to look for more practical and universal solutions.
and who'se going to park their sofa on top of it? who wants a moving sofa watching a movie.. this is just for rich people to spend money on pointlessly
I was thinking the target market would be for arcade operators who want to build out a racing esports area. Super clean look and a small footprint. I thought he would be talking about that at some point. I am completely lost on the sofa idea.

Rseat makes and sells the motion platform.
Why would you use a Fanatec DD Pro wheel base and stick on a Simucube wheel? Why not just go with a Simucube 2? What am I missing?

lol lense is clean i was filming with my Go pro which unfortunately has some scratches from when I used it on a radical .... its fine when use outside but ceiling lights indoors make it a bit foggy.

Damn... I have similar things in my country, with a LOT of more travel up and down and they cost a lot HERE, but when you convert to Dollars, is less than 2K.

I actually had 3 white shirts and two non packed , unfortunately sound quality was really bad on a bunch of videos but then filmed stuff again though not in my white shirt uniform 🤣.

1.5 inch of vertical travel is not really good for anything, not even watching movies.

The only issue is, with the very very little movement it does in this clip, hard to call it a motion anything really. Not to mention, seems to be quite slow and laggy for a "modern" racing sim. I've seen home made ones that seem way better than this, since a few years ago now.
