      That fight had no business happening. Everybody knows Chuck’s chin was gone at that point. If Tito feels proud of that he is a bitch. My little brother could knock out Chuck with what his chin has become and he is a 115 lbs kid who doesnt know how to throw a punch. We all know who was the best between Chuck and Tito in their prime.     Randy's loss to Machida wasn't sad, it was pure human spirit. Couture took it like a man, he was respectful and a true sportsman. It isn't sad to lose a battle to age, it's just part of life (obviously I'm an old man.)

    I think the Bisping one was kind of bitter sweet, because although we lost him as a fighter, we now have the best fighter (former or current) to ever do commentary for the ufc

      @Create Change Bisping, DC and Cruz are all great. I'd pick Bisping out of the three though, for the sheer entertaining factor. Before them, I thought Kenny Florian was surprisingly good. He always understood exactly what was happening, what had landed and what hadn't, and explained it beautifully. I also think that his commentary went under the radar, very underrated.

      It was honestly much sadder seeing DC lose again to Jon Jones. A very high-stakes fight where DC not only came up short again against his biggest rival, but got finished in the process. You couldn't help but feel bad for DC with that Octagon interview where he was concussed and bawling his eyes out, it hurt to hear him say "when you lose two fights I guess there is no rivalry". The fact Jones cheated by taking steroids only compounded matters.

Always wanted to "prove he's t bgg e best in the world". Retires, ends up coming back as a result of the first trade in UFC history. Finally gets in the UFC. Has a controversial first win. Then gets murdered in 5 seconds in his second. Then submitted against Maia in a fight he was otherwise winning and goes on to retire. The guy had his dreams crushed. I consider that a saddening loss and end to his career.

    That Anderson Silva loss was so shocking that it changed the way I saw MMA. I was going to practice for an amateur MMA fight, but after seeing his leg snap like that I realized the risk I would be taking and decided not to even think about training anymore.

    The cormier loss in the rematch with Stipe a was not heartbreaking, especially after cormier avoided the rematch and said stipe didn't deserve it, instead giving a title shot to Derrick Lewis who absolutely didn't deserve it (all because he knew it would be an easy win for him).
    And after cormier again poked the crap out of stipe's eyes, it definitely wasn't heartbreaking. That was a great moment for miocic.

    Chuck Liddell is and was my favorite fighter . The hunger he shared for the sport of fighting , it always felt to me like the cage was his home.
    I believe chuck still wants to fight but the sad truth is his body cant handle it anymore . Such an inspiring fighting spirit ! Its hard to see such man fall in a fight, you feel for him.

    Fedor's loss to Werdum was one of saddest MMA moments for me. All my friends and I were rooting for him. When he tapped, you could hear a pin drop in the house. My friend's mom came down stairs all concerned:
    "What happened?!?! You guys got so quiet".

      My dad got lucky and scored free tickets from a friend for that fight. He took me and my brother. Him and Cyborg were the only ones that we even gave a damn about on that card. When Fedor lost I couldn't believe it. The funniest part of the entire thing though was when Werdum made his entrance he was met with HUGE boos. And after he won everyone around us that was booing him was cheering for him afterwards.

    Fedor is still one of the best fighters imo. His fight style was just too old school at this point, his age caught up, and his will to fight for legacy was just not there. One of the greatest regardless.

    This is fantastic video. You guys should do another one sometime. Every yr there are heartbreaking fights, all over the world of MMA. If you only pay attention to UFC... you are missing a lot of great stuff. UFC is not the whole world of MMA. I don't understand why people think it is. Those days are long gone.

      Difference was that Randy knew when to hang them up, plus he was a phenom, in the sense that he remained super competitive until his mid 40s. Penn and Chuck continued to fight until like 10 years past their primes.

It was made after the Stipe fight, yet they never mention the several eyepokes and only mention towelgate. They praise him in the video saying he would’ve beat AJ anyway, and that he’s one of the GOATs. They have DC so deep down their throats that they are trying to rewrite history. DC is a cheater, just like Jones. No way around it.

      Delltah DC talked a lot of shit prior to the rematch with Stipe and got what he deserved. Poor Stipe is out now for idk when cuz DC eye poked him so much he needed surgery. Outside the cage DC is a great guy inside the cage and around the cage he is a fucking prick and I hope Stipe knocks his head off and sends him off to retirement.

    I didn't feel bad for DC in the least. He didn't care that he has damaged Stipe's eyes to the point that he has to get surgery and could have ended Stipe's career. He is a shameful fighter, and the way he calls Jones a cheater is like the pot calling the kettle black. They are both disgraces to the sport.

    I know a lot of you hate DC and I’m not arguing the eye pokes. It’s more sad as fan of his to see the third fight with Jones become completely lost, him lose his title that so many monsters couldn’t even take from Stipe, and his dad dying days later to cancer. The fact that he’s pursing a final fight is tremendous. Him and Stipe will give another amazing fight.
