I once visited a very northern part of the US, the snowiest place in America as it happens. They rejoiced in "Pasties" there, a triangular hand pie with beef stew in it, more or less. It was kind of famous, even on a short trip I had to get some. I really liked them, and am sad to think how far away this is (I'm in sweaty FLorida)... What we see here is probably as close as I can get without actually making dough and using an oven... I think it might be good enough, a lot better than the nothing I have now. Sort of a Taco Bell version. I have cooked seasoned hamburger in the refrigerator now, it's not that far away!

@@josephgaynor3522 according to google The original Jaffle brand jaffle iron was designed and patented in 1949 by Dr Earnest Smithers of Bondi. (other types might have existed though) BUT had I not seen this video I would have thought that "jaffle" was a breakfast waffle with jam. However, these are Aussies we're talking about (No surprises there). They are genetically pre disposed to shorten the length of any word more than two syllables in length lol. I'm surprised they didn't just take the more commonly known name "iron" (Pie iron, toastie iron etc) and just add the letter "O" to it. That's how they normally make up words. Documentary = Doco Service (fuel) station = Servo Aggresive = Aggro Afternoon = Arvo Fish = Fisho (technically an extension) He also said "Tommy sauce" (Tomato sauce) which sounds like a grammatical deviation from the norm but just like they say that Y is a secondary vowel, then by that logic I claim that adding Y is a secondary contraction. Linguistics aside the toastie wouldn't last long around me that's for sure :) Yum
