very friendly warning, get rid of that zev tech trigger immediately, have had 2 now that had COMPLETE FAILURE, locked up the gun and it could not fire. I called them after the first one and they said that was normal and they would send me another. I will never trust my life with that crap. The tiny spring that pushes the trigger safety out will weaken and then turn sideways when slack is in it. thus locking up your trigger and not allowing it to fire.
Apex trigger seems to have a trigger that is much better anyway and have fixed this RECALL THAT THEY WILL NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR. Going to get someone killed.

Great video. I picked up mine about a month ago and love it, but not perfect. For that kind money, full night sights or a night sight/fiber combo would be better, not to mention a third magazine. Aside from those complaints, the only other thing I didn't love was the very uninspired finish. But its a fantastic shooter and I've carried it daily since I got it. @KSGunGuy Minor changes for the Staccato P in 2020
    1.)Barrel length is 4.4 inches
2.)Easier take down the guide rod assembly has a built in spring loaded push lever. You push the guide rod forward, press in the lever which locks the compressed guide rod. You then pull the compressed guide rod out.
3.) The sleeve removes with the compressed guide rod assembly.
4.)Barrel is coated differently, it is not black but brushed chrome color.
5.) Comes with 1 17 round and 2 20 round magazines new black finish on magazines some shipped w/chrome depending on stock as it depletes on chrome.
6.) Stippling on grip has changed.
Not sure what the finish colors are called but you get the idea......

The local range/gun shop has two competitive shooters, both shooting on Team Ruger: James McGinty and Dave Olhasso. James’ father owns the shop, and they’re both 1911 shooters. James ran STI’s until he was picked up by Ruger, and he and his father have a massive collection upscale 1911 pistols. Dave Olhasso does an extraordinary job with action tuning, and I’m lucky to know both of these guys. They run 1911’s with insanely light triggers, and I’m only interested in carry pistols. My Colts, Rugers, and S&W 1911’s all have 3.5-4.0 lb triggers, and I’m fine with that. I’ve been given the opportunity to shoot the McGinty’s Nighthawks, Cabots, Wilson Combats, etc, and I’m pretty happy with my $1,200 and under 1911’s. The Staccato’s polymer grip would mess with my OCD too much, and I’d have blend the polymer and steel with a file...lol! Thanks for sharing!

If I understand it right, the polymer / fiber frame is a large piece of the recoil absorption.... If they thinned down the material for a double stack in the original C, you'd have a much harder gun to control and would likely see a failure in the form of cracking.

Anytime the police take an item from you they are required to give you a impound/inventory receipt. If that item is lost while in their possession, they have to replace it. Misplace, or lose things.....yeah. Three things that have a propensity for getting lost from Evidence are Guns, Money, and Drugs.
Theft has always been an issue with property in evidence. But 99% of departments will keep it quiet, if they find out stuff is missing. A popular way to make guns disappear legitimately is to get destruction orders from the court. But they don’t actually get destroyed. Because nobody was watching the watchers. I know that. Using the trigger finger works just fine. I see many right handed shooters, especially ladies, who cannot easily operate the magazine release. They end up either rotating the gun or rotating their hand to reach it. Place it on the right side to run with the trigger finger and the problems go away. Some shooters will save a bit of time on their reloads if they are going against the clock. If they can reach it with their thumb, then either side is fine.
