    This looks like an outstanding gimbal for smaller and medium sized camera. I love how portable it is (making it more likely that I would bring it with me). Good work!

    Thank you for another great product review. Down to earth, clear delivery, and keeping us entertained along the way. I also picked one of these up recently and so far it has been my favorite gimbal. The amount of features it has in a compact size are spot on. They also have specific plates for different cameras including the Sony EV 10 which makes mounting it up even easier. 👊🏼

    Been waiting on this one, mainly because I trust that you won’t sugar coat your reviews. I’ve been debating this for my A7C and to see your camera on there with the 17-28 has me hopeful. Do you think I’d need to use my smaller nifty fifty instead or grab one of the smaller primes Sony rolled out last year or will it hold the 17-28? Sounded like you mentioned some wobble but maybe with the A7C the overall kit will be light enough. Love your thoughts on that if you have time Terry. Thanks again for the energy that you bring, solid review.

    awesome Review Terry .. the gimble looks cool fr smaller cameras. i am really struggling with mine, got the dji ronin sc when it came out , used it wt my canon m50 .. it was great, except the broken phone mount. But bow its almost useless with my new sony a6s3 + signa 24-70 setup .. even after removing eyepiece .. movement is getting blocked . one tbing i learnt frm this .. always buy expensive camera stuff keeping future upgrades in mind.

    Nice review. Thinking of M3 with GH6 12-35 f/2.8 lens for my B-cam. My A-cam is a C70 with DJI RSC-2. It gets pretty heavy after awhile. And I’m now on my third gimbal because of joystick issues.

    Thanks for showing off your full frame setup in this video! I'm picking up an A7IV and wondered if 1000+ grams of weight would work on this gimbal that I already purchased. Looks like there shouldn't be any issues with a small G prime.

    Maaaan the crane m3 is by far… my favorite gimbal. It hold my Sony A7siii with 17-28 lens (and Sony 16-35) and man.. it’s soo good!

  • @GunslingerMediaCo

    So glad you reviewed this one. Finally someone I trust to give a real world usage perspective with details, which you totally pulled through on. I have an A7iv and I am planning my future lens purchases around this gimble. I’m ordering the 35mm 1.4 GM tomorrow, spending the extra $$$ on it instead of the the Sigma 35mm 1.4 dgdn because it’s supposed to be light and small enough for this gimble. I had the 20mm f1.8 G lens but sold it because I didn’t like the 20mm focal length, so I’m looking at getting the super expensive 14mm f1.8 GM or the 12-24mm f4 G lens for half the price used off eBay. Both weigh around 1.2 lbs, the 14mm is confirmed to work fine, the 12-24 should work in theory. Maybe the Zeiss Batis 85mm 1.8 for tight detail shots and that’s it. A pretty light weight video kit, about 8lbs total. I live in NYC so I plan on making street photography style videos documenting the people and landmarks. I’ve been wanting a subway commute friendly complete photo/video kit for a minute.
    Long post lol, but thanks Terry! 💪🏼

    The two cons I see are a non-standard quick release (I use Arca Swiss style, others use Manfrotto), the other is built-in batteries. In my opinion, batteries are the weak link in nearly any pro equipment. Built-in batts let the battery determine the life of your gear, and how long you can shoot. I just don't think that is good for someone that shoots outside all the time. Good review! and I can certainly understand why a lot of people will choose this gimbal.

    • @johnd9357
      @johnd9357 Před 2 lety +1

      Yyyyyeeessss. I hate pro level gear with built in batteries. Batteries are consumables. In a year they will absolutely not be working the same as they did when it was new. Not having an option for battery swapping is purposefully shortening the life of the gear.

    • @TerryWarfield

    • @brettsherman7810
      @brettsherman7810 Před 2 lety

      As a work a day pro, I actually like built in batteries. I like being able to charge everything with USB-C cables instead of dedicated chargers. I’ve never run out of gimbal batteries during the day. And even if you need more it’s easy to charge up with a battery bank. Get yourself a USB-C PD battery and you are good to go.

    • @TexpatOTG
      @TexpatOTG Před 2 lety

      @@brettsherman7810 Glad you have had good experiences. I just changed out the bad built-in battery in my Tascam DR100-MIII (swollen) -- it's the only gear I have that doesn't have replaceable batteries. Wasn't that hard to do if you have a little DIY skill. I do always agree with your suggestion to keep battery bank handy. Nearly all my gear will run off a USB power bank. They are a must for anyone that is an everyday shooter.

    @4:15 Isn’t the fact that the power button is flush against the gimbal what actually prevents the accidental power on? If it was a normal button it would have a higher chance of accidentally getting pressed in a bag. A little bit reversed on that one. Lol

    Found a FLAW in the new Zhiyun Crane M3: when built-in light is turned up anything above 50% (to 100%) brightness, the handle (or motors) vibrate. From 1% to 49% brightness, it's fine. I'm using my iPhone 13 Pro Max with SmallRig Cage. BALANCE CHECK multiple times: manually and autocalibration. 100% repeatable. Confirm on YOUR end please? :) Thanks! - Maybe the energy from the light affects the motor torque strength? Above 50% light setting I feel a soft “brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”.
