- Trooper's Report:
On April 11, 2024 at approximately 5:06PM, I attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a maroon in color Honda motorcycle
bearing Arkansas registration 122FY on the off ramp of US Highway 62 near State Highway 5. The traffic stop led to the arrest
of Troy Gessner on a felony fleeing charge and numerous other misdemeanor charges.
While traveling eastbound on US Highway 62 Bypass near State Highway 201, I observed the vehicle listed above traveling the
same direction ahead of me. I observed the operator of the motorcycle weaving in and out of traffic in a reckless manner. After
the motorcycle cleared the traffic, I observed it to accelerate at a high rate of speed continuing eastbound on the bypass. I
activated the front antenna of my patrol unit's radar which gave a digital readout of 80mph in a posted 60mph zone. I activated
my overhead emergency lights in attempt to catch up with the vehicle. I was able to catch the motorcycle as it exited the bypass
and onto the off-ramp to State Highway 5. I activated my audible siren to signal for the driver to yield. The motorcycle turned
right (southbound) onto State Highway 5 and continued traveling past the Baxter County Road and Bridge Department. The
operator of the motorcycle revved the engine and merged into the continuous left-turn lane and accelerated at a high rate of
speed passing other vehicles who were traveling north and southbound. I advised Troop I-Harrison Communications that I was
in active pursuit of the motorcycle and to contact a supervisor.
The motorcycle continued southbound on State Highway 5 at a reckless high rate of speed. The operator of the motorcycle
traveled southbound in the northbound lane numerous times almost causing numerous collisions to innocent bystanders. As
the pursuit entered Salesville, the motorcycle continued onto State Highway 177 after running a posted stop sign. The
motorcycle continued southbound on State Highway 177 near the Norfork Dam. As the motorcycle passed the National Fish
Hatchery, it passed a school bus who was traveling northbound. The operator continued up the hill towards the top of the dam.
The operator failed to negotiate a curve near Quarry Road which caused the motorcycle to exit the roadway left and overturn.
As I pulled up on the scene, I observed the operator to stand up from the ground and place his hand in the air. I gave verbal
commands for the operator to get on his stomach. The operator complied and I was able to place the operator into custody
without further incident. I advised Troop I Communications to send an ambulance to my location to have the operator checked
out. The operator identified himself as Troy Gessner. Troy stated he ran because he didn't have a motorcycle
endorsement. While speaking with Troy, I could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from his person. Troy admitted
he had some marijuana roaches on his person and that he had smoked about an hour and a half earlier. I observed Troy to
have bloodshot/glassy eyes and dilated pupils. Due to possibly sustaining serious injury from the wreck, no Standardized Field
Sobriety Tests were given. During search incident to arrest, I located a cigarette pack in Troy's jacket pocket. Within the pack, I
located numerous burnt marijuana cigarettes (roaches).
Once the ambulance arrived on scene, Troy was transported to Baxter Health in Mountain Home, AR to seek further medical
attention. I traveled to Baxter Health and made contact with Troy who was getting treatment by medical professionals. I read
Troy the Arkansas Statement of Rights and he agreed to submit to a urine test. The urine test was obtained in a room within the
emergency room. After giving an adequate sample, Troy stated and signed that he did not want a second test at his own
expense. Moments later, Troy was discharged from the hospital. I transported Troy to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office where
he was book in on the following charges:
5-54-125(d)(2)- Fleeing in a Vehicle (Class C Felony)
27-50-308(b)(1)(B)- Reckless Driving (Unclassified Misd)

Honda or Harley Davidson motorcycle?
You aren't trying to dust crown vic's anymore guys. Your cruiser/chopper isn't gonna cut it against that police charger.
That's what I'm saying, people trying to run in their 90's silverados and honda preludes like its 2002
The officerâs report stated that the suspect was driving a maroon Honda. I donât ride anymore but itâs been my understanding that the big Hondas are way more capable than Harleys. Perhaps this knucklehead would have done better if he wasnât stoned?
Idk about ASP but I know all NCHP chargers are awd that can make a difference in those turns and curves.
@@Dave-ei7kk Correct. Pretty much any big cruiser that is NOT a Harley will destroy a Harley.
choppers never cut it against cownvics either. they CANT TURN. and they arent fast. top out at like 110 unless you wanna suicide. and takes a long time to get there.
Pursuits aren't measured in miles they are measured in dollar generals.
Yeah I was like 'WHICH DG MY DUDE, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!" ;)
Idiot drivers who don't move over for cops are annoying as hell
plenty of them as well......
Hard to move over when you are looking at your phone and not your mirrors or the road.
"It's my God given right to block anyone I want!" - Idiot driver #4
Honestly after watching all the florida highway patrol videos, arkansas drivers do pretty well
that was the most scenic motorcycle vs cop chase i have ever seen. kudos to the motorcyclist and cop that made this possible for the rest of us to see
Mountain Home AR is gorgeous! Near the White River, which has some of the best trout fishing in the world. In fact, they went right by the Norfork dam and the fish hatchery.
Yeah, I was thinking that looks like a nice road to go for a ride on. Just without the cop chasing you. đ
Beautiful scenery and a dream road in a sports car. That was some damn fine driving for the most part. He wasn't working the trooper any.
and the dam plus the curvy incline were the icing on top...with predictable "result"....haha
Running from ASP on a slow-ass Harley is probably not the best idea.
Actually it was a hahahahonda!
With ASP, it's best not to run at all.
Two DGs, a hatchery AND a dam??!! This place has it all!!!
Northern Arkansas has everything. This incident took place between two lakes popular with fisherman.
@@ebryan1408 I may enjoy fishing..lol.
@@ebryan1408 Haha. Probably didn't look at his avatar or username when you replied. lol. That area has some of the best trout fishing in the world.
nice drive through the country....yep......but Mr. "i don't stop" can't even handle a couple of curves...cheeze....
đđđ On 2nd thought, do you think you have made a remarkably stupid comment ?
They need to start giving guys like this their bike back (in parts in a box).
they need to take there bike and sell them at auction ..
@@randytravis3998Or part it out.
or a nice solid one foot cube....
My word would you look at the size of that damn! But seriously, all Hail those able to move to the right for their contribution to this successful pursuit!.
"reason for pursuit" was initially wreckless driving
*Reckless. Wreckless means to never have a wreck. Homonyms are your best friend!
Title should read "Reason for Fleeing" instead of "Reason for Pursuit." The description says the guy ran because he didn't have the motorcycle endorsement.
â@@shimshonbendan8730"homonyms" that sounds sooo gay. đ
Wow, I'm impressed. A Harley doing about 25 miles above 60 mph and it didn't break down.
It didn't break down, but he tried to take a Harley around a corner. Bad idea.
It's not a Harley. It's a Honda
couldn't handle the corners in the end....
@@dougroberts3643 Reading comprehension eludes some folks. Also, it's funny that the report states "a maroon in color Honda". How about just a maroon Honda? :D
@@civlyzed What a Maroon!
That Highway 177 looks like a pretty drive.
it does....doesn't it...thanks to Mr.Dumb on a bike we got a ride with him.....
As a MSF Instructor I can tell you the course is cheaper than the ticket and you could save on Ins. costđ€đ€đ€
Plus the course shows you how not to ride like a SQUID đŠđŠđŠ
No ticket, court date. My court fine was $100 but I lost my license for a month. The course was $400.
I'm surprised the dude handled those corners as well as he did - especially while high!
Why do they always say I wasnât going to run? Looked instantaneous
Dam! I mean, Dam! He turned a $50 fine into time in jail!
If that. As long as its tagged and you have insurance. Most of the time they will tell you to go get it. Heck I'm going on 20 years and still haven't taken the test
good one...yep...the damn dam brought him down...haha...so to speak....
@@SpaceRanger187 I had just bought my dream bike(86 Honda Magna) and rode it to the DMV to get my drivers license renewed. There wasn't a line which was a big surprise, it was one of those satellite offices that I guess people didn't know about in 1999. The guy at the counter saw my helmet and gloves and asked "you renewing an endorsement too?" and I said "Yep!" in my most convincing voice. He pulled up my info on the computer, mumbled something I couldn't hear and $47 and 3 minutes later I walked out with my brand new license WITH motorcycle endorsement! Have had it 25 years now.
If you don't have your motorcycle endorsement, don't ride. It's THAT fucking simple!
Exactly!
And most bikers donât. If you ask them they wonât even know what it is. I took the endorsement class and if you think you can ride going in , youâre wrong. They donât let anyone just pass and itâs a grueling 16 hour 2 day class. No pass. No endorsement and back to school until you do.
@@juvawaveredlighttherapy " a grueling 16 hour 2 day class." lol
@@juvawaveredlighttherapy Must've been the MSF course.
@@ColtonRMagby Yep.
How come no one understands "GET ON THE GROUND"?
lack of education, no respect for others, selfish, arrogant. You know, Americans.
his ears were "ringing" from all those Harley vibrations and too much noise from a bad exhaust system....
Love it when they take the scenic route!
the dam was the icing on the cake...not for Mr." i can't stop" of course.....
Is it hard to get a motorcycle endorsement in Arkansas? Seems like that would make life easier...oh well, jail here we come....
Not harder than any other state. Get a learners permit by passing the written test and then pass the on road skills test or show them a certificate of completion on the MSF rider course to get the on road test waived.
Nice dam. You must've had good rain for the spillways to be open.
Good job, LEOs đ«Ą
I watched a video from 2 days prior to this one and there was a significant rain storm.
Not been a ton of rain this spring, but lake slightly in flood pool. Main reason for floodgates is they are repairing one of the 2 generation units, so half capacity to produce power right now.
@@michaeltrace1109 Thanks, I appreciate you sharing this valuable information.
Arkansas trooper's are the shiny example of what trooper's should be. Be safe and be careful and good and all the best wishes from Arizona đ
The guy thinks he's auditioning for Sons of Anarchy, but in reality is Pee Wee Herman.
(He meant to do that).
There's something about a leather jacket with a bird on the back that makes people feel like they're fast.
He almost got away in his shopping car.
7:49 that dam is huge lol.
Norfork Dam. World record trout lurk in the river just below.
when it first "emerged" on screen i wondered if i'm having "visions"......the great wall.....haa...
The sky makes me feel like Iâm taking an eye exam
8:34 Like when the Cop pulls up rider puts up his hand like ok you win you got me like that will help him
Good evening Police Pursuits, Thank you for the police video. You have a wonderful weekend and God bless you.
Cycle endorsement - $10 - a fifteen question test then a 20 min road test, but whose got the time
Thanks for this video. I had been looking for a good scenic drive video through Mountain Home on the way to the Norfork Dam!
And you don't even need to speed the video up!
and here it is...what a lovely state arkansas is......alas...some of the locals though.....as witnessed here every weekend...
Old boy couldnât handle the twisties. Getting a âNo Motorcycles Endorsementâ ticket is really not very serious. You can get a traffic lawyer to get it reduced and pay a fine. Itâs no reason to run.
Clearly you havent watched many of these. Dude did pretty good. Usuallly these videos feature a guy on a hyabusa who cant shift out of 2nd gear and cant lean into any corners whatsoever, or a ninja 600 with a slipping clutch and bald tires
the reason was for reckless driving 1:15
2:50 3:08 6:35 6:54 is it normal to NOT make room in the US? I see this behavior in every police chase video from USA.
folk asleep on cruise control watching movies or on phone whatever.....
HADDA LAYER DOWN GOT DAM CLIBBINS GOT ME.
He had his leathers on !
He was riding a Honda, the only motorcycle gang that would have been the Toot Sweet gang
I live in a rural area and I don't even like to go 45 mph on those 2 lane roads. Kudos to that trooper and Darwin Award to the idiot on the Harley.
did he even make the first payment on that bike???
Tht bike is to slow to out run the policeđ
When you've got a thump-thump cruiser, not a rocket under your crouch and the 4-wheeled cruiser is catching up to you like...dumb-de-dumb-de-dumb....don't even try to pull this! Make it easier, no matter what you have, don't run!
yep...but do tell that to mr. "i don't stop for the cops". guy....or better "id##t"....
Nice tour of a beautiful state. That dam is beautiful.
We are blessed with lots of roads and many dams like this in the northwestern half of the state.

Wrecked his Bike and his Village People Costume..
" Is the motorcycle wrecked or are you wrecked too?"
"Suspect is fine, I'm fine...bike went over the the edge and down the hill though."
KICK
Get this motorcycle out of here! DX
These guys run for almost 10 minutes, splitting lanes at 90 mph and expect the end encounter to be like how the original stop would have been. *Hands up "You got me, I give up. Give me my ticket."
Stupid is as stupid does.
Turns a simple ticket into a felony
Not the brightest bulb
DO Not try this in texas or new mex... these boys are transporting and wont hesitate
Putting lives at risk in a high speed pursuit for "No motorcycle endorsement" is insanity.
"I wasn't ganna run from ya"

I was today years old when I found out they put rumble strips in the middle of the double yellow.
â€
I feel cheated! I want to see speeds of at least 180!!
What a nice road they were on in the first part of the chase... banked turns and not a pothole to be found. If I was riding a bike on that road I'd probably speed a little too, but I sure as heck wouldn't run if the police wanted to pull me over. Ticket or maybe even a warning vs felony fleeing... hmmm... let me think....
all because he don't have a motorcycle endorsement!?! really? are people that stupid? ok, I know the answer to that but dam and WOW what a dam they passed. lol
Reason for pursuit was initially just a ticket
Fun fact, the horsepower of that Harley is the same as his IQ
That damn is impressive :D
The trooper's vehicle had steam or smoke coming from the front of the hood.
And THIS is why I donât âLook out for Bikersâ. TOO MANY of them drive like complete idiots. Driving twice the speed limit, splitting lanes, coming up on you out of nowhere. Iâm the one in the bigger vehicle and youâre the one who chooses to ride a motorcycle so you need to look out for me!
LOL What a dumbell. Lights flashing and siren blaring and he does not pul lover , but crashes in the ditch. Then stands there looking like two cent waiting for change.đ€Ł
Stopped at 0:50 .... already saw this elsewhere, a duplicate or a copy.
Let's be honest. The dude would have done this even if his license was endorsed by God.
if there is more than one Dollar General, do we call them Dollars General?
That's why they're called hogs
Troopers are the Best
ASP troopers please....
What gives with the misleading video title? Coffman stated - twice! - that the reason for the pursuit, was due to reckless driving. Not once did I hear him say anything about no motorcycle endorsement.
I usually hesitate to watch it if it has bike in the title... so i read the description, and see a long list of charges, ok, the idiiot made it, lets watch.
AND!!! might I add, Yall, have some beautiful scenery down there... my goodness, thats beautiful countryside.... I rubberneck until the end, when they got em...
That was some crazy driving , crazy curvy road!!! YIKES!!!
The ignorance of some people is really unbelievable, trying to run on a motorcycle good Lord!
Fine wirk as always by the awesome ASP!
That dude could have died ten times during that crazy drive.
Only by sheer luck did he survive
Biker was pushing 95...not too slow!
These clowns trying to run from cops on the slowest bikes ever made,
If you want to ride bikes get a license and insurance and ride safely itâs much better for everyone ffs,
That was a white guy, why didn't they just write him a ticket and let him go?
Going to run? Better bring a Busa, be a helluva good rider, and know your area well!!!
Where can I buy some DAM bait! đ
Clown thought he was going to get away on a cruiser đ€Šââïž
If he would have left the road and went up where those power lines were he might have put enough distance between him and the ASP to make a get away, but staying on the road against a Hemi Charger on that bike, no way.
Maybe with a VMax.
Harley's might be good fpr the interstate, but they are lousy for street racing around curves. If he had a good motorcycle he might have gotten away, but on a Harley he was up the creek without a paddle.
Is it fair to say... you know you're in Arkansas when you pass a new Dollar General (and the only retail marketplace available) every 5 minutes during a high speed chase?

Trying to outrun cops on a Harley...đ€Ł
Reckless driving was the reason, no endorsement is why he ran.
Whenâs the other pursuit video gonna come out or are we not getting that one
âReason for the stop is reckless driving.â Not the âNo motorcycle endorsementâ like youâre crying about.
Nice chase Coffman
another one bites the dustđđđ

it's faulty exhaust was scratched in the event.....
you will never loose them on a straight stretch that's for sure ahah
