- Trooper's Narrative:
On March 26, 2024, at approximately 10:09 P.M., I was sitting stationary on I-540 near the 9 Mile Marker and observed a black
passenger car approaching a high rate of speed. I was not able to lock the speed on the rear radar. However, I locked 80 on
the front radar while still stationary. I turned on my headlights and pulled onto the roadway, the suspect vehicle began to speed
up.
I followed the vehicle off the 8 Exit Ramp to Rogers Ave. The vehicle pulled into the Road Runner Gas Station, and I initiated
my lights for a traffic stop. The vehicle was a black Chrysler 300 bearing a Mississippi drive out tag 032524 to the rear. The
vehicle stopped at the last pump and was facing towards Rogers Avenue. The driver fled pulling onto Rogers and then onto
Cliff Drive. We then went south down to S 58th Street. At the intersection of S 58th and Boston Street, I attempted a Tactical
Vehicle Intervention (TVI) and failed. The suspect vehicle slowed abruptly and turned east onto Boston. We proceeded down
Boston under the I-540 overpass turning south onto S 62nd Street. We followed S 62nd until S 66th Street and turned south.
The suspect ran the red light at the S 66th Street and Phoenix Ave intersection. They continued south on S 66th Street turning
left onto Jackson Street. Jackson Street came out to S 69th Street where we went north and came back out to Phoenix Ave
and turned east. Trp. Roam #400 was traveling the opposite direction and became the primary unit in the pursuit. I continued to
inform dispatch of the pursuit. The suspect vehicle turned north on S 74th Street, turning east on Rogers Ave where the suspect began driving recklessly They then turned south on Massard Road and then back west on Phoenix Ave. The suspect vehicle blacked out, weaving through traffic. They finally turned right onto S 74th Street then entered Three Corners Apt.
Complex located at 3500 S 74th Street. Turning into the complex, a black female passenger jumped out of the moving vehicle.
She was later found. The vehicle continued to the back where it dead ends. Trp. Roam performed a TVI, stopping the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Markale McDonald. He was driving on a suspended license. McDonald was
advised of his rights under Miranda and placed into my vehicle. The vehicle had a strong odor of marijuana. A search was
conducted and revealed a half gallon bag of marijuana that weighed 55.4 grams, a joint that weighed 4 grams, a scale, and
several clear baggies were found in the jacket pocket that McDonald was wearing. McDonald told me about a previous injury
where he had broken his leg. Fort Smith EMS was called to evaluate him. He refused treatment.
The passenger was later found near S 74th Street and Rogers Avenue where she was trying to enter into a cab. She was
identified as Taziya Sanders. Sanders sustained minor injuries when she jumped from the moving vehicle. She
refused treatment from EMS. Sanders claimed to not know why McDonald had fled. She further stated that she jumped
because of being scared and just wanted to go home.
McDonald was willing to speak with me on scene about the fleeing and marijuana. McDonald stated he feared going to jail
because he knew I would smell the marijuana and search it. He also claimed all the items found as his. Sanders was released
without charges.
McDonald was transported to Sebastian County Detention Center without incident.

“ feared going to jail “ hey then don’t be a thug. So scared of jail his dumb🤬🤬🤬 accumulated more felonies. Those people sure are not the shiniest bead on the rosary 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Blacktivity!!!!
21-years old and already a felon. Drug dealer, Chrysler 300, driving on suspended license, no insurance… keeping the stereotype alive and well. SMH.
Well said and right-on!!
but drugs are illegal in Arkansas. How can this be?
Stereotype? I once saw a white guy driving a Chrysler 300. Granted, he was the parking attendant, but he did drive it
EXACTLY!! SO F--ing SICKENING!
@@buddy3824I've seen white guys wear saggy pants too, seen them rob stores, seen them say "I can't breathe" every time cuffs come near them. That doesn't mean it's not part of a stereotype for a certain group when many of these aspects are coupled together. I've seen drunk middle class suburban women, that doesn't mean that drunk white trash hillbilly isn't a stereotype or that such a type doesn't exist. Black guy with suspended license and weed fleeing the cops in his Chrysler 300/Charger/Altima doesn't mean that no one else ever drives those cars. Hell it doesn't even mean there aren't white guys in Chargers with stolen guns and drugs and long criminal histories. It's a stereotype, not an immutable law of nature, it's a common association that statistically applies a number of attributes to a certain demographic they are frequently seen in.
No license, no insurance and a bag of crappy canabis. For this he chose to endanger the life of the passenger as well as several other people on the road instead.
he probab;y threw out the gun ,meth ,heroin or coke during the persuit
Wrong, wasnt really his fault. Go ahead and let him go, they;re wastin they;re time
He either gets off completely or gets probation I would be money on that. The fact that he ran and endangered others should prevent any plea deals but it won't they will let him plead to driving without a license or without insurance.
I guess it’s better to add one count of felony fleeing instead of the no license no insurance and a bag with enough weed to make a few joints charges. This is the future of this country.Anyone know what the problem with common sense is?
You no you sell drugs so why are you speeding??? You're begging to go to jail.
Always such a shock to see what emerges from the suspect car. Right? One mile of evading should equal one year in prison. Automatically.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
The primary problem in Arkansas is its incredibly weak punishment for motoring offences. When these clowns flee while they get a felony charge the punishment is pitiful usually probation and fines etc. Some with dangerous driving etc. They need to start imposing proper penalties like years in jail.
Uh, the trooper literally just said you do years in prison
The trooper said the last guy that ran from him got 10 years
Felony fleeing in Arkansas now carries 2--6 year sentence.
They get paid to fine crime not solve it

Great work Troopers! Top level as always!
You could see the guy's face fall when he heard about the ten years. Tough to hear at 21.
I'm gonna guess that the 10 years wasn't all due to the fleeing charge. There had to be another charge along with it. According ot Arkansas the fleeing charge is a Class D Felony which is punishable from a minimum of 0 years to a maximum of 6 years in prison and/or up to a $10k fine. To catch ten years there were definitely other charges.
oh well. this isnt GTA 5
@@Isaac_132 well speeding with lights off, endangering others, etc yeah that's implied
The maximum sentence is less than 10 years, so either the cop is just trying to make him feel even worse or there were other charges.

Hint: if you're going to run from police, either turn your traction control on or learn how to use the throttle.
Traction control is on by default in all cars, they aren't going to assume the liability of making you turn it on. You are usually lucky if you can even turn it off.
@@justforever96 And yet, his is very obviously OFF. There are aftermarket products available just for this, so a person can do burnouts/donuts. Ask a (somewhat) it's recent model Charger/Challenger/Mustang/Camaro/Corvette owner. I can turn it off in my truck, too, with a toggle switch.

That's why they don't hand out any Soap on a Rope at the Greybar Hotel..... Just saying. 😁
@@yungkidnf It's the felony fleeing that and reckless driving that will get him the time... felony fleeing carries up to a 6 year sentence just by itself.
@@yungkidnf Well, this was in Arkansas, they treat weed like its fentanyl. I'll happily stay in Michigan where people aren't that delusional lol.
Weed: No reported deaths, illegal.
Alcohol: 140,000 deaths each year, 380 deaths each day, legal.
The cousin riding states think weed is a black thing so they make it illegal.
It’s amazing the medical maladys arrestees have. Always something broken or bad back etc.
Yep! Had a broken leg but able to drive like an idiot, get out of the car on his own, and walk to the patrol car to get put in it. Sounds like arrestitis.
I wonder why they didn't charge him with driving without lights at night for 5:00.
In some states fleeing with lights out aggravates the charge. Not sure about AK
@@karenneill9109 It's more that other videos on this channel that show them turning their lights off (in Arkansas) also list a charge to that effect in the video description, but not this one. I'm just wondering if it's up to the trooper's discretion even though it's on video. If it were me I'd charge them for that, and every red light they ran, and every stop sign they blew through. Shrug.
@@aaronmdjones Oh, interesting. 🤷🏼♀️ Yeah.
@@karenneill9109 (2) Fleeing by means of any vehicle or conveyance is considered a Class D felony if the person operated the vehicle or conveyance in excess of the posted speed limit.
(3) Fleeing by means of any vehicle or conveyance is considered a Class C felony if, under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, a person purposely operates the vehicle or conveyance in such a manner that creates a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person.
(4) If serious physical injury to any person occurs as a direct result of fleeing by means of any vehicle or conveyance, the fleeing by means of any vehicle or conveyance offense is a Class B felony.
I would say this is a class C felony considering the speed, driving on the wrong side of the road, "blacking out", and the passenger having to jump from a moving car because the driver wouldn't stop.

Why you running?? You were scarred ! These ASP officers must have heard that same lying@$$ excuse just about from every last one of these e b on i c s speakers. That Chrysler 300 had to have had a Hemi in it. The one who jump out of the car took most the drugs with her. Loved it when the trooper told him how many years the last guy got for running from him, you're not in Mississippi, you are in Arkansas now, you pick the wrong state to run in. The ASP boys did a good job keeping up with that 300, it's a lot more difficult when you are driving through red lights, traffic, side roads and apartment complexes, especially when the prep has a fast car.
Like it or not. Believe it or not. Black folk have been treated with suspicion and mistrust since the first black man stepped foot on this continent in 1619. We are talking 400 years of mental conditioning on the psyche of both whites and Blacks. Video cams are a Godsend because you truly cannot argue with recordings. You can hide them from the public but typically not forever. Video keeps everyone on the up and up. It's gonna take a couple generations for our current mental conditioning to change. For all of us. The good news is that that aspect of life in America can change for the better.

It's not a bloodhound, it's a K9. They don't use them to track fugitives by scent. Driver of the 300 decided he needed some gas. Then he says to himself, "Uh oh, cops behind me. Forget the gas!" I kept expecting him to run out of gas at any second.
Unless he just pulled in because he saw the cop behind him. People do that all the time. Anyway even if your car is on empty, fuel light on, etc, you generally still have another 30-50 miles before it actually runs out. At high speeds it would go faster, but that's assuming he waited until it was totally empty to fill up, which most people don't do. I doubt he really needed gas though.
