- removing the old AudioControl Matrix and installed the new Matrix Plus. The new matrix plus is a big upgrade from the old model with better controls plus a added remote knob to adjust the bass output. Also it is a line driver so you can increase the line voltage to your amplifers. #audiocontrol #Matrixplus, #caraudio

Good morning brother I love the intro, and great stuff,as always. Thanks for sharing and be safe and have a blessed day
Just found your channel and I quite enjoyed your video man. Love seeing people still doing it in the daily vehicles. I used to build professionally but now just have a basic stereo for fun. Just bought my matrix plus and can't wait to put it in.
I just recently changed my amp rack I have a video posted showing it. Trust me your going to love having the Matrix Plus 💯💯💯
Yea…. That “new matrix is a winner!” Audio control amps are 6 volts. So that matrix would really help maximize the tuning!
Great share!!
Larry
Good 👍 job
Audio control has been around a long time, its good stuff.
Can't wait to get mines
Yes this is the one to get
Is this suggested running with the T harness and speed wire method for a 5 channel I was just gonna run wire to my amp and connect RCA jacks for signal with kisl bc my amp requires it 660.5 kicker thanks take care and damn dawg I’m new to car audio a young buck and seeing that fan in the back above the amps is crazy smart OG
I just purchased one. Any difference mounting it away from the headunit? I just read the manual and it states to mount it close to the headunit.
That depends on your vehicle, I have mine mounted in the trunk
When you are setting the levels, do you just back off your amp's gains a lil bit to balance everything?
Yes I start with the gains low , I have my headunit volume up 75% of its volume. Then I play a test tone and start with the gains on the matrix . Then move to the amplifier gains.
Hey nice video
Did you fuse the matrix & if so what size did you use..I'm installing mines @ the moment
Yes I used a 1 amp fuse which is recommended

My matrix & amp setup
If you got 4v pre outs already should you buy it still. And are you or have you sold the old one.
My radio doesn’t have a high pre out the matrix plus I have set at 5v my amp accept up to 6v. It puts out pretty good. I still have the old one.
So basically....I own a jeep grand Cherokee...and I can't get another radio because it controls everything with the radio...I have to amps...one for vocal and other for subs...but sometimes I feel like I need more power...like the head unit doesn't put to much power....so this will we help to solve the issue??
Thank you for your answer.
By keeping your factory radio I suggest you buy the AudioControl LC2i PRO with the bass remote from EBay $104.50. With this unit you keep your factory radio but you get to add both of your amplifiers you have.
Can u add a LC7 or do u need it if u put 2 amps with the stock radio?
With the LC7 you can connect three amplifiers, with the stock radio you will have to run wires from your rear speakers in your car to the LC7 . Set the LC7 to GTO in which you don’t have to run a remote wire from up front. The GTO from the LC7 will power on once it sence the signal from the stock radio.
Does this matrix introduce a lot of noise into the system if any?
@SolidBatcorp not at all , the only problem I had was with my older one . The newer matrix is way better and believe me I noticed the difference in my system.
Can I used this after the lc7i and for sub after the epicenter then the amplifier?
I would do LC7i , epicenter then sub amplifier or LC7i , matrix then sub amplifier. The Matrix will provide a good strong signal to your amplifiers. I’m running 5volts pre amp to my amplifiers and they sound clean. Plus I used a Oscilloscope to set my gains.
Do u need a line converter with that matrix?
If you are using your stock radio you will
I'm looking at one
Are they worth the money
The Matrix Plus makes a big difference in your audio setup
How do you know how to set the outputs on the matrix???
Turn your amp gain down then turn up your radio, look at the LED lights on the matrix.Make sure to keep the signal in the green. From that point you can slowly bring up your amp gains to match
@@djronthemechanic3695 I appreciate the feedback. I just tried this. Works good so far.
@@knorgriff I can tell you the Matrix Plus took my system to another level.
