The code states they are not permitted for use in floor mounted back outlet closet bowls but they are permitted for floor outlet water closets. the question does not specify which one and answer guide says false...

I appreciate these videos I’m starting an apprenticeship come Monday and I’m alittle nervous I’ve been a mover by trade for the last 5 years I’m 32 now
@plumber-tom9470 One question please. in your study guide for test using 2021 upc CODE. Ch. 4 quiz question 42 asks true or false: Offset toilet flanges are permitted for use. The code states they are not permitted for use in floor mounted back outlet closet bowls but they are permitted for floor outlet water closets. the question does not specify which one and answer guide says false.
Good question. UPC 2021 402.6.3 last line reads “Offset, eccentric or reducing closet flanges shall not be used. “ This statement appears to be regardless of the installation situation. Because it is entirely exclusive the answer is false. Does that help?
@@plumber-tom9470 I guess so, thank you. but to clarify section 402.6.3 ( securing floor mounted, back outlet water closets bowls) is relating to only floor mounted back outlet water closets where it states that offset flanges can't be used. and in the 2021 illustrated training manual one of the notes does clarify that they are permitted for floor outlet water closets.
