Understanding International Plumbing Code Chapter 10
In this video, Plumber-Tom explains sections 1001 and 1002 from the International Plumbing Code. This chapter is all about traps, interceptors and separators. Sections 1001 and 1002 give information specifically about traps. Every plumbing fixture is required to have a trap so that the sewer gasses will not escape from the drainage into the building. This video includes explanations about the specific requirements for installing P-Traps. Some traps such as the S-Trap and the Drum Trap are prohibited. This video also includes a discussion about trap primers and trap guards.
