Wheel spacers for the GR86? Yes you should!

Today I put 1" wheel spacers on my 2022 GR86 . I have used wheel spacers before and found no ill affects and they do make the car look better .
If you cannot afford new wider wheels right away, this is the way for you.

I think I'd go with thinner rear spacers - maybe 10mm. For 9" wide wheels, it seems et 45-48 is ideal with a 10mm front spacer.

After I got the Phantom supercharger I went up 1" in tire width with the correct offset to keep the INSIDE of the tire clearance same as stock, no spacers.
After I went to the Edelbrock supercharger and went from 150 wheel HP to 284 wheel HP I bought new rims and went up in tire width again but kept the same inside clearance and the tire fitment was PERFECT.
I'd rather go wider rims and tires than use spacers (since I have the HP to USE the bigger contact patch)
But I guess if you're at stock HP then wider tires might not 'work' and actually detract from the cats performance so spacers to fix fitment is a good choice.

i have a question. the ones you linked, their 2017. i’m assuming they would still fit right???
no one has been able to give me an answer. but i’m trying to not spend over 180 for some spacers

Besides change the look/fitment, what are the pros and cons of spacers?

Cons: More sprung weight, and a bit more stress on your axle components. You are changing the suspension geometry which on its own gives you marginal increase in performance, but the goal besides looks could also be to fit a wider tire, or bigger brakes.
