- Here it is my dream build of the @scottsports Lumen. Built with the finest components from Shimano, Fox, Schwalbe, Syncros, PRO Bike Gear and milKit, this is my personal take on this light weight eBike optimised for trail use with a 140mm fork to compliment the 130mm rear travel. The eBike uses TQ's HPR 50 system which has a 360wH battery integrated in to the frame.
Super stoked on this #NewBikeDay

Some quick questions answered:
- This is a size large, I'm 189cm (a 6 foot 2).
- The cable integration is easy to install and work on.
Keep an eye out for the first ride, any questions please leave them down below!
Thanks for watching - see you on the trails...

It's intoxicating to watch you build a bike. So meticulous and.great video production values. Mad respect!
I get soooo zen looking at these builds, thanks and looking forward to the first ride :)!
Thank you man! 👌
That bikes Brilliant!! Love the cable routing.
excellent build and beautiful video. thoroughly enjoyed it.
Beautiful build. Built exactly the way the bike should have come stock
You make your builds look so easy Scotty 😂 Stunning bike!
Thank you! 🙌
You know the bro in the shorts crushed this to the power of infinity.
lovely video, it's like watching an artist paint
Thank you 🙏
I like how you put the Centerlock lock ring with a cassette tool interface on the front wheel at first but you were forced to change it to the one with the hollow tech 2 tool interface because the cassette tool doesn’t fit over the 15 mm hub axle 😅 that’s one of the reasons why I’m sticking to the 6 bolts 😄
Scotty great bike build and a dream workshop, I use a plumber’s pipe cutter to cut down bars and fork stanchion tube, clear burr free cut and perfectly square every time. You’ve already got all the tools but a good tip for anyone else.
Thanks for the tip, I’ve used one before but personally find the saw and guide a little easier to use but it is the more expensive option. 🙌
Hi Scotty, a very interesting and professional video: I appreciate your style. I'd to know the exact model of the fork you have fitted: in the FOX catalog I can't find a 36 fork with 140mm travel for 29" wheels. Thanks
Thank you! You’d need to get an air spring from a authorised Fox dealer and swap it out. Otherwise you’ll find a Grip 2 34 at 140mm travel!
Ciao.. complimenti molto bella e leggera.. che pedivelle hai utilizzato?? Grazie
Hey scotty, I can’t find the frame size you’re riding anywhere…I’m 186cm and between L and XL. Any recommendations on that?
How does it compares to the spark? They have slightly different geometry. How does that difference feels on the trail?
Rides quite similar, the main difference I’d say is the weight be so low down in the chassis, you really notice it in a good way especially when cornering!
Super nice bike. Being taller you might not have the problem, I’ve read dropper post insertion is an issue on these frames? At 179cm I’d want at least a 150mm but preferably 175mm ish drop. Otherwise I love the concept of these bikes
Understand that, I believe that you should be fine with a 150mm dropper but might be frame size dependant! I’m running a 175mm one here…
Where do you get the spacer you used to increase the crown to axle dimension and slacken the head angle?
It comes with the Lumen!
Did you put any foam inside the frame to avoid the rattling noise of the cables/motor?
Came installed as standard!
I was surprised at the choice of single piston xtr’s, any reason aside from weight?
Tbh not really, the 4 piston would make more sense but I’d lined these up for the build just cause of similarities to the Spark..
Это как в оперу сходить !
is it possible to add several spacers to raise the handlebars on the Lumen?
I’ve got about 30mm under here!
@@ScottyLaughland thanks much. Wow, what great build
To replace the brake hose at rear, must you dissamble the motor and the shock?
Good question! I’m not entirely sure tbh. I don’t think so but maybe.
A lot easier to taken out the motor upon replacing the rear brake set.
Or use existing hydro hose (if long enough) then replace the end connector to caliper.
Do flushing the internal hose if different type of oil which will be used
Only motor. Cables going under engines.
Ваще бомба !!!
Thats a great bike, you really can't tell that this is an e-bike,
but I think the cable routing through the headset is just hideous af tbh.
Thanks man, get that your routing point but it does work and I guess more and more brands are adopting it.
Under 17kg for an E-trail bike wow!! My analogue enduro weights just about that WITHOUT a motor lol
Crazzyyy right!
i like the orbea rise better... the fact u can have 85 nm is worth the lil weithgt more
Maybe so but you could build this even lighten than I’ve gone and to get nearly 1000m out of it is pretty damn impressive! First ride coming soon… Watch this space!!
What is the name of this torque wrench use in this video?
It’s Unior Tools digital torque wrench!
@@ScottyLaughland thanks for the reply
very zen vid...great bike, but now way is it that easy to seat tires...
I swear down it is! It all depends on your tyre and also rim. The Syncros and Schwalbe tire combo is pretty tight so works perfectly to inflate this easy - I do from time to time remove the valve cores.
@@ScottyLaughland lol...Maxxis with Ibis rims are a beast
Light for being basically fully loaded....
HELLO BRO I MISSE YOU
I thought the Giant was lighter?
Don’t think so, I went for a heavier build on this one but stock the SL is silly light weight!
Я бы сам , его у тебя отдал, знал бы где
Automatic, electric Bike stand. This entire experience is way over my paygrade.
Hope you managed to find some level of enjoyment in it 🙂 thanks for watching
Подари, всё равно сваруют
building no, asembly. The lightest ebike is from Danger holm in 12.9 kg
duoble pistons are overated
For sure although sometimes nice! 😂
