Bucket List MTB Trail: A Scenic 7km Flow Trail That You Can’t Not Love

- The Hacklberg Trail in Saalbach is one of my all-time favourite MTB trails, it just flows so well, offers huge panoramic views and is rideable for MTB'ers of all levels.
You can stop off at Alms along the way to refuel; the Hacklberg and Bergstadl being two of my favourites in the whole valley.
Once you've ridden Hacklberg Pt.1 and 2 you drop in to the Buschegg Trail and descend all the way in to Saalbach. The trail total drops 1000m and is lift assisted right from the bottom right to the top.
I'd say this is a must ride for every MTB'er.
Some quick questions answered about my bike:
- I'm riding a size large SCOTT Genius and I'm 189cm (a 6 foot 2).
- The cable integration is easy to install and work on.
- The shock is easily accessed and adjusted via the hatch.
Any questions leave them down below, thanks for watching and see you on the trails.

Great video. Fantastic sense of speed conveyed. Loved the view points.
Thank you! 🙏
Really nice run! Also rode it two days ago. You just have to love this trail!
Ah man, we could watch this ALL DAY. Sick run, Scotty!
The Hacklberg Trail is always awesome.
Definitely the most beautiful trail in the Home of Lässig Sallbach.
So good! Every time I ride it I’ve just got a big smile on my face..
Hi Scotty - I always love watching your fab mtb videos keep up the good work.👍 I’m planning a trip to Saalbach in July which is our first mtb trip to Europe could you recommend a good shop for hiring enduro bikes please?
Outstanding, absolutely epic. Living the dream, what a run through that was 🫶🤘🤘🤘
Thank you Pablo! 🙌
amazing video!
Thanks Alex! 🙌
Austrians are sooooo spoilt! long flowing trails with an uplift. Lots of different camera angles, commentary and SPEEEEEEED, nice 👌🤙
Lucky I’d say! Wish we had more mechanical lifts in the UK that led to these length of trails…
Awesome trail! You make it look so easy.
I'm planning to go to that region next year but although i really wanna ride this trail I'm wondering if it really is suitable for someone new to this kind a riding.
Can is ask what tyres you're using?
Great vid!!
It’s a brilliant one to progress to. In the area there are several other Blue Trails and a small skills park. There’s also the opportunity to join some bike schools or guided rides! The Hacklberg is a really great trail as a lot of different levels can truly ride it and it’s up to the rider as to how hard they want to make it for themselves!!
Stunning riding and views as always! Btw how do you get that motion blur effect?
Thank you! Shot with an ND on at a shutter speed of 1/48!
Wow, nice chest pov!
What Camera and settings do you use?
Top secret 🤫 (Hero 7)
très belle façon de filmer.
Dis moi, tu as oublié que tu avais des freins à un moment tellement tu roulais vite.
Scotty hi cool video 👍
What width is your handlebar?
Thank you! 🙌 Running these at full width which is 800mm!!
@@ScottyLaughland thank you very much, 🤝 you have great content, keep shooting, we are all happy for you 👍☺️
@@ScottyLaughland my width is 750 mm, I do cross-country, my cube bike, once you rode it)))
Ähhm, as far as I know, and I ride there very often, that ist rated as a red trail... Most of the time its kind of an easy trail, but as a beginner i would not recommend this trail. Better look for Panoramatrail, Montiline or Blueline then😊
So you get two trips on the lifts with the joker card. how much is it if you want to then do a third, fourth and fifth run in a day? I'm going next summer.
About 57€ for a normal dayticket. With jokercard arround 40€ for a dayticket.
@@gravity.gourmet blimey
That’s a question that I don’t know but see below! One use of your joker card on the West Gipfelbahn would take you to the top of the Hacklberg however…
@@IntoTheWhite04 if you go there for biking you really want that dayticket anyway. You can get 6-10 runs top to bottom depending your riding speed and fitness. The 2 included uplifts per day are more suited for riders who make tours on the mountain. As a gravity orientated rider you definitely want more than 2 runs...
But its nice on the first and last day of you Trip as you can ride 2 Times before leaving and if your arriving a bit later you can also go twice.
The dayticket is valid from 3pm the day before. So if you want to ride the full sunday lets say, you can use the uplift from saturday 3pm.
@@gravity.gourmet I am going with the missus. Shes not interested in any gravity riding so I guess I could use her pass to get 4 runs in. My back can't handle multiple full days of riding so was thinking a few runs each morning and relaxing/hiking etc in the afternoon . Just a bit annoying as 2 runs isn't enough but I'd never need a huge amount more.. when I first looked into going here before the pandemic it was unlimited uses with your bike and a joker card.
Love usually your videos but this one has pretty bad Pov footage that I can't watch. Also the "on the helmet" pov looks like a drone and no bike involved 😂 did you use a different action camera?
Sorry about that what didn’t you like? I think it looks epic!
Whats next on the bucket list? ;)
I’ve heard of a few things! 🤔
