Why bring up a conversation when you are too afraid to hit the nail on the head. Why is discrimination and racism against foreigners in China not being spoken about? If it was the other way round the whole news channel in the world will broadcast it.

Props to the lecturer for his patient salvaging of the interviews.... two "case studies" into the unit and it is apparent that getting meaningful engagement out of the student interviewers is like squeezing blood from a stone.

The Hukou system in China is the biggest discrimination in China in my opinion. If the Chinese dude in the video gets a job in Shanghai after graduation, he cannot buy an apartment or house immediately even if he has loads of money because he doesn't have Shanghai Hukou. His kids in the future cannot go to high school in Shanghai because he doesn't have Shanghai Hukou.

I have experienced discrimination in China. When I was 10 years old, I moved to a tier1 city from a tier2 city with my parents in 2001.Even though my family is relatively wealthy and both my parents are very well educated, my classmates even some of my teachers in school really looked down on me because I'm from an "inferior" city. They often laughed at my accent, etc. Fortunately as time passed, I have made lots of friends and never feel being discriminated since then.

i think there is lot of race discrimination in China, more through black ppl, less to white ppl. And there is always small groups of Chinese dislike all foreigners(Includes Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese), Even though for others, our appearances look the same. If you ask (black white or other races or countries and Japanese) which one Chinese hate the most, the answer is Japanese due to the reason of Invaded and War.(However, the educated Chinese will tell you also the Russian as well,*Unfortunately, due to Communist tide with Russia(S.U.), CH "covered" the RU history of massacre through Chinese*) If you ask: do Chinese ppl have its own issue within their own race group(the answer is YES; we have more than 56 ethnic, The parents probably won't get alone each others everyday, 56 ethnic groups in a same country{you tell me!?})(China is big, but only certain places r good for living). Furthermore, locals r not like each others either. Shanghai ppl dislike ppl from other than Shangahai, Beijing ppl dislike ppl from outside Beijing. Guangdong ppl has their own dialect, they treat non Guangdongese less respect because they feel they don't share the same dialect. (PS, HK dislike Guangdongese either, even though they share the same dialect. HK PPL believe they r better, cuz they live in a special international trade zone).

Are you joking, Alex? You even don’t know too much about your country! Shame on you! Don’t get all the information from social media or text book, please use your brain to think about it deeply!
