Not at all. Everyone has an ethnic background. The teacher is showing to his students how it’s easy to get certain races mixed up because of the similar body/facial features and it’s how some can get easily offended. I mean we’re all human and we make mistakes which is why we shouldn’t get easily offended just because someone labeled you incorrectly.
Someone thought I was buddhist when i was in middle school. I’m filipino. Did I get offended? No, not at all. You correct the person and hop to your next task.
But the teacher needs to tone down the dog, bro and dude colloquial terms.

10:41 "I'm from China, Hong Kong"
Man this is such a controversial thing to say these days. She's definitely an immigrant from China rather than someone who was born in HK. Her name is pronounced in Mandarin and she didn't say "I'm from HK" without the China part.

I believe he is on the closer side of non-racist considering his previous videos, but his offensive remarks that he uninowingly makes may imply that even those aduots who claim to be non-racist might be actually making many racist jokes and giving wrong messages to their children...

this class is HELLA problematic, but as a Korean-American, i can easily differentiate between people who are Asian-American and who aren't. even other Koreans point out to me that i look Korean-American, not just Korean. i can also tell when a Korean has been raised or is living in, for example, Russia or Singapore. and obviously i can differentiate between Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. it's all in the way the facial features are shaped.

I agree... I’m white but my husband is Korean and i can tell the difference. Koreans look very different than Chinese people do, and the language is not the same and they sound totally different when they talk

I do agree that most of the time you can differentiate between Chinese, Korean and Japanese. Not by facial feature but by social identity, things like the hairstyles, way they speak, outfits, body language, the way they walk, etc... If someone was to show pictures of Asian Men/Women covering their hair and no makeup on their faces, I think it would be impossible to tell. My brother and I, we're Chinese American but we dress very different. I dress very ordinary (a t-shirt jeans and a pair of shoes) but he's more casual. Most times people say I'm Chinese, but for my brother people usually think he's Korean. When we go to Chinatown people will speak Chinese to me, but to my brother people usually try English first. Every time we go to a Korean restaurant together the servers will look at him and speak Korean, not once did they speak Korean to me.

i think if you come to india people would accept any skin colour eventually.... surely skin colour mocking will occure for some time... but almost in every part of the country people really open up regardless of skin colour.. may be it's because thousands of year old mixed race cohabitation... i don't know... it's racism is there in india as well but it has been made more like a joke rather than a serious topic.. surely finge events dose occurre .. but in general its cool about skin colour.. we already have black indians as black as a black person from Africa and white people as white as a German.. 😁😁😁😁
