So Dex, as far as i understood each mini uses a weaker version of a particular weapon. For example, the one that throws their body parts just uses a weaker bone, the one that stabs ppl uses a weaker knife, the one that blocks hits uses a weaker laurel and so on.
Fun fact: the bin, the chicken, all those stuffs are resembling the crewmates, that's why those are enemies in Polus
And also a parody of Among Us brainrot memes itself
They're direct references to memes of people seeing random objects as among us characters. Even some of the chairs in the map look like crewmates!

I mean, it does cost a weapon slot (item slot gets freed up when you evolve the new weapons). Still it's no doubt better than the 20% of might you'd be missing out on with silent old sanctuary for single weapon runs (I suppose it is actually a weapon, but it deals no damage so it is perfect for pushing a single weapon to its limits).
It's so stupidly OP that I love it. Free stats every second with decreased cooldown makes you deadliest force in the game.
I went and played this map with Sigma and I got every item until I evolved the scanner. She was continuously getting extra HP, might, cooldown decrease, etc. She was even killing the reapers without the Infinite Corridor + Crimsom Shrowd combo! I felt such a power trip. :) No stupid white hand ruining the fun, just me killing reapers with Sigma every minute.

The mini crewmates are all smaller versions of weapons! Here's all of them:
Red Crewmate: garlic
Orange Engineer: lightning ring
Yellow Ghost: clock lancet
Green Shapeshifter: bone
Blue Guardian Angel: laurel
Purple Impostor: knife
Pink Scientist: Santa water
Horse: jubilee
To get them outside of the guaranteed pickups on Polus, you need to have one of the new weapons at lv2 or higher, then the one that evolves that weapon will show up in the level up options. For example red shows up if you have the report megaphone. The hint is that you need the mini crewmate that matches the one who starts with that weapon! The one exception is the horse's weapon, which doesn't evolve and needs to be lv8 for the mini horse to appear. When you evolve one of the new weapons the mini crewmate disappears from your inventory, allowing you to pick a new item, but you still keep the extra weapon it gives you!

1 minute chest evolves + when you repair sabotage (stand on the button) you get evolution chest, so on 5 min you can get second evolution
Hey Dex, wanted to let you know about a fun run I did in the DLC. the new ghost character that is invincible until the time limit also has a weapon that gives you crazy amounts of stats over time. But it can't do damage with weapons (mostly, think there is a bug or two). So I used disco of gold, sarabande of healing, and vicious hunger to get over 100k kills on abyss foscari. by the end I had also obtained infinite corridor through candy box and item pickups (guardians can't touch you >:) ). the stat weapon had given me so many stats that I was able to kill the reaper using all of the 16 or so revivals it had given me (not to mention the >20 amount and huge regen). And this character literally dies in 1 second after each revival once you are past the time limit. Such a funny reaper kill with a character that does no damage and dies instantly after 30 minutes! Used the last revival and saw the reaper disappear and screen zoom in for a second before it insta killed me for the last time. so satisfying lol
This might also remove the need for bogalo or any scaling arcanas with such high cdr you might max them out without scaling arcanas. Even better, saw that the permanent stat one got 0 limit breaks so it most likely is like laurel and can't steal limit breaks. Also deals 0 damage, so it can't be used for solo limit breaks. But you probably have to every weapon with two weapons now.

I love that the crewmates line up in rainbow order so you can see exactly which one you're missing
While part of the issue during the low kill count times was knockback/damage, I think the main part was that the snowman enemies can't be hit until you activate them, but they still take up enemy space.
They added an Adventure too!
I've only unlocked 2 of the new weapons so far, and I am already sadistically cackling for what their Limit Break videos are going to be like. Poor Future Dex.
Some of the new things are kinda crazy. There's 1 character who let's you pick which of your stats you get a 1% bonus in on every level up, every 10 levels. You can pick another stat or the same one up to 5 times, which is up to level 50, after which you'll get 5% extra bonus stats. And yes, if you put it in something like might, you'll get 5% might across the board on every single level up. Only downside is that you're forced to use at least 1 other weapon to start with that's tied to the character, but you can get some pretty crazy damage output with it. You might be able to make some insane setups with the weaker weapons. You can also use it for size, btw... meaning 5% size bonus on every level if that's what you like.
And the new healing weapon's also kinda broken. Did a 30 minute run in adventure with almost no upgrades. Just went for a duplicator and 2 cooldown upgrades, that's it. By the end the healing weapon gave me so many bonus stats that I had like 7 revives when I reached the 30 minute mark. It can make for a pretty big difference, so it's best to get early. I think with empty tome you also get the buffs faster. And it also gives you cooldown upgrades, so getting to the maximum cooldown should also be pretty easy. I had like over 110% cooldown when I checked it like 10 minutes before the time was over and got new buffs every second or 2. I also don't think you can limit break it, so it could actually be used for the single weapon runs. Well, it is a weapon I guess... not sure if it even deals any damage.
Also not sure if the chest mechanics were changed or if it's just the stage, but on every run I did on the stage I got a crazy amount of penta-chests.

Yeah the new healer scanner thing is broke, but in the best ways. I started with a couple hundo egg character and when I got that evolution It went through really quickly. After a bit I hit the max cool down and was getting constant stat upgrades.

I had fun unlocking all the new content. Was a good opportunity to catch up too as I stopped playing after the previous DLC.
I'm not sure why, but every video on specifically this channel frequently buffers for me for the past few weeks, even if I lower the quality below what I usually use. It's so strange cause my connection is fine I can watch 4k videos with no problems but here 720p is struggling

I'm usually forced to watch Dex's VS videos at 480p compared to everything else at 1080p, which means I end up listening to the videos more than actively watching them, lol.
Probably wrong but I think Dex records in a much higher bitrate than usual videos, so chaos like Vampire Survivors looks better on higher resolution playback. Or at least I assume, as my connection will never be able to handle the videos at 1080p or even 720p, when the run gets really crazy.
Interesting, yes I record/edit on 40mbit/s, the standard is usually 8-20. Well I'd say closer to 10. I think I'll switch it to 20 and see if it works overall better for people.
@@DexTagI wish there was an option to change bitrate like video resolution. That way I could still get the great quality and people whos systems/connection couldnt handle high bitrate could lower it. Can't wait to watch you play Dino after work tomorrow. 🤪
Works fine for me, no problems at all. But for some other channels that's not the case for me.
Doing the tasks gives you tri evolution chests. Missing them gives nothing.

the Swipe Card (unevolved) has to be my new favourite weapon.

It's a funny weapon, but.. unevolved it's really bad since it doesn't hit enemies below you.
The stat boosts come from the Paranormal Scan weapon, not the items
One strat I can't recommend enough for insanity is playing Pugnala and getting the Med Bay Scanner evo. You just gotta see it for yourself
It's infuriating to go for so much curse when you're running garlic and trying to check out new stuff. It won't kill anything

seem this update on public beta Celestial Dusting causes The Stalker to grow in size had him filling my screen while unlocking the new characters/weapon evolutions in the library :)

idk if it's intended, but if you play inverse mode with Sigma, you can get 6 arcanas, the merchant sells one on this stage
Sigma can get a total of 5 Arcanas and since Inverse adds 1 to the max (normal char has 3, with inverse 4) she ends up with 6.
I don't think you were randomly walking into chests. I think they spawned when you stepped on the buttons.
