Today we check out the first character in the Among Us DLC for Vampire Survivors: Crewmate Dino. The character himself gains bonus stats whenever a weapon gets maxed out, but this is not the effect I am most excited about. In the last video, we discovered a weapon that gives you bonusstats every 15 seconds, affected by cooldown reduction. So if you manage to get max cooldown reduction at 90%, then you will get bonus stats every 1.5 seconds. You may see where I am heading with this.

I just watched the video here and I had no clue how much the video got destroyed. The colors pretty much disappear and it's a blurry mess, that's insane. I have never seen this happen ever before, not even when I used to upload in 10k (so 5k less than here) and I wonder what went on. This is not in the slightest what the recording looked like while editing, I expected some blurry parts but not that. So I'd say it's time to return to 30-40mbit/s.
I have uploaded 3 different versions of minute 28, but I wonder if it has anything to do with me recording in 40mbit (would surprise me though):

I honestly don't see a ginormous difference between 30k and 40k, and it has to be expected with CZcamss compression and such an insane mess, that the video will suffer from it.
its still noticeable between 30 and 40k but its much much better than 15
While a pain in the ass with the German Internet in its current state, id say upload the highest quality possible to offset CZcamss odd compression issues
@@justahologram2230the internet is mostly no problem, just sometimes, but the issue here came from some people writing they have loading issues for my videos - which makes sense, higher quality means more has to be loaded. And while the resolution can be adjusted by the viewer, the bitrate can't be changed.

the quality got a lot worse for me , I never had problems before with your vids, always top quality eve thought crazy big balls flying around , but now with the lower bitrate it starts blurring very early
Yeah around 12-15 minutes, it got progressively worse until it looked like 480p no matter what i did. Still enjoyed the vid, but the quality was pretty wild.

High bit rate video only affects ancient devices like a netbook with ancient processors like an Intel Atom cpu. It can only stream 720p videos
There was also a point where it not only blurred but started to go grayscale in certain parts. A telltale bitrate bottleneck.
The video quality was definitely worse for me. Not annoyingly so I guess. If people are having issues, they could just reduce the resolution.
EDIT: Never mind, I'm towards the end of the video now and the quality is pretty bad. Much worse than normal.
It's strange what happens with the videos of this game because at the beginning it loads like a normal video but towards the end (when it is full of enemies and effects of various weapons) the quality of the video automatically drops but it is not caused by low internet speed .
The bitrate sinks and the quality drops.
@@gasYotube The thing is - the bitrate is actually constant. But when every single pixel changes between frames, there's next to nothing left to compress and the quality goes to hell.
Each Crewmate passive (8 total) has an associated weapon (8 total - 7 of them can evolve). If you have the associated weapon the Crewmate passive shows up in level up selections and it's worth taking them: when you evolve the weapon they attach to you get to keep the Crewmate passive while getting the passive slot they used turned empty to get another passive. Plus Gemini Arcana affects some of them.
Dex, as cool as the Paranormal Scan is I would like to see you limit break each of the other weapons in this DLC
Lowering the bitrate makes the video a smeared mess later in the run when there are lots of things on screen. This was at 1440p on a 1Gbps fiber connection. CZcams allows users to control the quality they'd like to stream at, let them lower the quality if they're having issues.
I love how when you got everything maxed all the pixels were gone... atomized.
I tried the evolved scanner with Queen Sigma and she was MELTING reapers at the end of the stage. No shrowd nor corridor needed.

The buffering issues are still there for me. Whatever is causing it it seems bitrate is not it thankfully.
And even if it was I would think going back to the old bitrate would be better, the overall quality drop is not worth it
Hi, Dex. I love watching your videos. It's my favorite way to relax after work. Your voice with the background music is very hypnotic lol. i would have to say about half way thrue the video it did seem that everything became soft around the edges on the screen and didn't have the same crispness I usually see.
Best part of DLC for me is that you get double the content: 1.) Getting to unlock everything traditionally and 2.) A whole adventure mode episode too!
Wait, what? I didn't even check adventure mode, but I guess I have my weekend sorted! :D
The bit rate was awful basically halfway through the video
an "original" Leberkäs has, despite its name, neither "Leber" (liver) nor "Käse" (cheese) in it. Hey Dex, the bitrate on this I can tell is lower, like you said. I have never had an issue with laggy playback on my end, but this one does truly look more compressed than other videos with similar amounts on the screen.
I second that. at At times even the damage numbers were hard to read, usually that's not a problem at all, even in the craziest videos. And when i have bufferin issues, it's at times where youtube warns that it could happen because there's just too much traffic. I really don't think it's the bitrate.
Fun fact:
At working hours, the video streaming traffic goes down to only about a third of what it's at 8 pm. Are that much people streaming at work? Or what's happenig there? The statistic is only applicable to where i live, is that everywhere the case?
when you max out a weapon with the red crewmate you have a chance of getting lower cooldown
btw at times the screen went to black and white, this only happened now, might be because of lower bitrate since when you opened a chest it went back to normal and after the chest went to black and white again
Hi Dex have you tried the gorgeous moon limit break with christine on the bat country stage? You start with blood astronomia for the first arcana pick then silent old sanctuary and finally wicked season. These are the items I picked in this order: orb,duplicator, crown, tome, skull and torona. Thank you for the quality videos you're awesome :)

I think you need to break Dino again, but not with the medical scanner. If he gets bonus stats with each completed passive and weapon, you should get all the weapons that combine so you can get more weapons that combine and also bracelet.
With the passive ability of this character, weapons with multiple instances of max out are more valuable for this character than others.

3x Vandalier (Peachone + Ebony Wings)
3x SpellStrom (SpellString + SpellStream + SpellStrike)
2x Fuwalafuwaloo (Whip/Bloody Tear + Vento Sacro)

I guess start with the first 3 on the list, 6 weapons in total.
Take hollow heart and tiragisu for passives.
When evolutions happens and weapon slots are free again, whip, and vento sacro.
Wait for the evolution an finally both guns.
(The order can change of course).
since it works on item too, we can max tiragisu then losing it to have even more bonus

Hi Dex! I have the same problem with video quality, and now it's even worse 😂 Thx for trying to repair this issue, I just set video quality for 720p not 1080p and it's ok, not so clear but still watchable :)
Crew dino gets bonus stats on every maxed weapon, you also get the bonus on maxing out passives however, making all the ghost wayy stronger since they only need 3 levels and then dissapear once you evolve the main weapon, making room for even more passives to get maxed out afterwards.

Dex the visual quality does drop after the 16 minute mark as more stuff is on the screen but its not too much different from normal maybe a %15-%20 difference. The Video is still watchable and enjoyable. I also haven't experienced any lag from your videos but i have pretty good internet. Also this is based off me viewing it at 1440P
You can take the base weapon of the character, the weapon that gives stat boost and laurel to make you immortal and just enjoy “limit break”. For me that was the most pleasing experience as if you take 3+ damaging weapons, you get a mess on the screen and you just have a headache. Maybe, you shall consider using these 2 weapons + char weapon
i usually watch in 480 (for lower data usage)

You talked about limit brealing the scan, i dont think it does damage, but you could use the arcana that does damage when you heal.
I think that the display of the gained stats is blinking, that's why it looks like you get stats 2 times (talking about 19:35 or so). Your CD is about 1.5 sec, and with the blinking it was looking like you were getting it 2 times per 1.5 seconds.
This is incredible... months ago I just thought, when seeing Dex min-maxing a specific setup, that I could never do that. Well, I still can't do that, but even casually got with Pugnala and Scanner lvl 1098 and at the end ran away from the reapers and killing them that way xD

I think it's because there's no blurring, in order to keep frame rate up it tries to remove color until it's black and white so it's easier for the computer
So I don't know on what end changed something, but we did some insane videos in the past, like ALL weapons of VS in a single video, and the only thing that always happened was blurriness. Colors were never affected. That's what confusing me so much
Impostongue does obscene amounts of damage especially with 'Slash' & 'Gemini' arcanas.
With unlimited eggs on Trousers still nothing can compete with 'Blood Astronomia' tho.
the weapons evolve with the color amongus that started with the weapon, so dinos weapon evolves with the red mungus
Dropped chests cannot evolve on Polus until the 10 minute boss. However, all 3 alarm events at 5, 10, and 15 min give Penta Chests which can evolve.
For the sake of Limit Breaking 1 weapon, you can evolve at 5min basically. So Abyss Foscari is still the best map, but Polus is usable for weapons without very fast starts.
Of course, if you wanted to Limit Break a weapon AND the Paranormal Scan for giga scaling... you'll want Abyss Foscari.
Finally I don't need to fish for Randoms to have fun Limit Break runs! I hope this doesn't get nerfed.

I have never had any problems with any of your videos stuttering or buffering, the lower bit rate on this video did seem to make the video a bit fuzzy when there was a lot of action on the screen, but it played just as well as any of your other videos. I only have a 1080p monitor, so 1080p60 is the highest resolution I can stream the videos at.
the scientist with either 4x growth + 1x move speed or just 5x growth and limit breaking base weapon + scanner is so much fun

Minute 1 evolves and when there is event and you stand on button, you get evolution chest

Your videos do sometimes lag but it's because network activity goes to 0 for some reason. For me, it happens only on 1440p videos. I don't know why. Switching to 1080p or 4k fixes the problem. This happens on many other videos too.
Love your videos! But please, increase the bitrate. This was hard to even watch at 1440p60. People can lower the quality instead if they experience lag.

About bitrate - i can tell that this video gets much blury at the end and it is just turned to Dex podcast for me
since you asked for feedback: The drop in quality is very noticeable (the video gets blurry when there's a lot of movement). Not unwatchable, but definitely worse... at first I didn't experience any issues on the video but I dont remember having any previously either. Towards the middle and end the video starts becoming very blurry and bad, borderline unwatchable. Sorry but I'd rather you go back to the higher bitrate.
The most broken combo to me is still Sammy + Disco of Gold. As soon a gold streak starts it goes through all the level, stack curse to the moon get golden mask if you can, brick your phone in glorious 2 fps and end the run with 1mil+ gold.

The video is blurrier. The lower bitrate shows its flaws for sure.
This is my own opinion ( and how I play), but at least the first time with a weapon I disable limit break. It becomes much easier to see how good or bad a weapon actually is.

I prefer higher bitrate because I have powerful internet.
I notice here that the decreased bitrate reduced the clarity.
People with weaker internet can feel free to watch at lower resolution.
This way Dex can upload at High bitrate and the majority of us don't have to suffer,
whereas those few who would suffer anyways can control it at their leisure.

I would have to say taking bones was the killer here as far as being able to see anything. After a certain point, it was nothing but bones.

Yeah, I played three runs this evening (Pugnalla on the new stage to unlock things, then Dino twice to a) die, b) figure out how evolutions worked on Mad Forest), and by the end I was in bonkers nonsense stat territory. I had messy weapons equipped, so I don't fully understand, but having Cooldown -160% is clearly OP.
I think all the quality errors at this bitrate are acceptable. At 1080p60, moving diagonals (like when the level up screen slides in) are a bit crunchier, but it's hard to notice unless you step frame-by-frame.

i can answer why you have so much stats that don't "add up":
The character ability works for weapon AND passives so basically it work for every item that you max out !
So it's broken on this map where there is so much item to pick up ! (I'm in the middle of the video so maybe you figure it out further)
There is NO WAY my CZcams video started lagging the exact second you start mentioning the lag....
weiß nich obs dir noch aufgefallen is aber bei den meinsten upgrades die du bekommst sinds 0,03 oder 0,04... also bekommst erst nachdem es ca 25 mal aufplopt 1 punkt mehr in dem betreffenden stat
For some reason the game shows these stat bonuses as decimals, same with eggs. When it shows 0.03 cooldown, that's 3% expressed as a decimal.

at around the 20 min mark the screen just became very blurry for me. Never had an issue with lag at higher bitrates, but that's just me.
as someone who watches 720p at 30fps because otherwise this dingus laptop overheats - the quality's dropped lol
don't forget dex, youtube transmuxes it when they receive it anyway, might want to check the bitrate received vs sent is on this video and one you uploaded at 40Mbps

1080p here with no lag and only 5 sek delay on loading in the begining.
Quality is noticeably worse, but this is the first vampire survivors video from you in months that I was able to watch on CZcams mobile app without the app crashing every 10 minutes. It was only your videos that crashed the app.

Whoever told you that video is lagging because of that doesn't understand how CZcams works.
CZcams reencodes video to lower bitrate for every upload by itself for streaming, but the higher bitrate you feed it, the less visual fidelity is lost on reencode.
You need Mini Crewmate AND Mini Ghost to evolve Report and Lifescan Radar.
