    If you add a table spoon of kosher or sea salt to your noodles, toss, and let them drain for 30 min in the sink, then rinse the salt off and spin them in a salad spinner before you cook them, they take on a more noodle like texture.

    MIKE !! These are great vids! I've really changed around my meals (what I thought were good and really weren't that bad) into meals with great macros!       @@patrinoand how much do you weigh and how much muscle is your frame holding? To stay at 10% bf, you have to be on the smaller side and under 170lbs, no doubt. I got to 8% bf for a competition and went from 205lbs to 190lbs and was difficult, as I am very muscular. For me to stay at 10% or less, I would overall lose muscle and a lot of size which I’m not a fan of being smaller and thin etc.

    Dr Mike. I really enjoy your vids I'm 6 Ft and since June I have gone from 200 ibs and reached my goal weight 185. I am not trolling but the sodium comment may be taken out of context. It should be concerning especially for folks needing to control BP. Otherwise, everything on point. Keep the passion going and good luck on February 4.

      @DwightHarding1 averaged 12K steps daily, monitored nutrition with myfitnesspal, worked out 50 minutes 5 days a week, reduced alcohol

    Okay, first off, great videos! The meals you suggest are common and easy to do!
    Some great meal tips that anyone can easily prepare and follow, even doing meal prep, etc..
    Very well done and produced! Simple but filling and easy is usually best when dieting or bulking, eating healthy, etc...
    Now, since nobody has asked, I'll go ahead and be the one to ask the first dumb question(s). I ask cause I'm certain others may have had the same question.
    1) In your servings size for the Zucchini Bolognese Dinner
    - 1 kilo zucchini noodles, 150g lean ground beef, colorful veggies.
    - Macros: 36.6g carbs, 15g fat, 56.9g protein per 1kg serving.
    Are you saying the meal size for example at lunch or dinner should be 1kilo of the zucchini plus the 150grams of ground beef, or is it a smaller portion size per individual?

    if you add in carrots to the bolognes it helps cut through the acidity of the tomatoes. carrots get sweet when you cook them, just like the bellpeppers.

    Regular ground beef is high in saturated fat, which can contribute to heart disease and other cardiovascular issues. Red meats, including ground beef, have been linked to an increased risk of certain types of cancer, such as colorectal cancer. How can you use ground beef that contain saturated fat which can contribute to weight gain, so how will that helps in losing belly fat. And you can not just lose weight in just one part of the body doesn't work that way

    Hey Doctor Mike, I've been following you for a year now and love your content. I've been following your diet advice and workout regimens since January 1st 2024. I'm 38 years old, 5'9, and started at 200 lbs pounds and I'm down to 192 already in 3 weeks. Something that concerns me though is I'm experiencing severe hair shedding on my scalp all the sudden and I fear it might be diet related. I'm aiming for 1800 calories, (40%P, 40%C, 20%F). I remember in one of your videos you mentioned a high protein diet would be fine for most people unless there was a underlying liver or kidney issue... I went to a dermatologist and ran my hand through my hair and 50 hairs fell out right in front of her. I had bloodwork done last week and havent heard anything back yet. Have any of your clients ever experienced this?? Do you have any theories? I'm scared. I have never shed this much. I have no history of family related hair loss, and I'm afraid I'm going to go bald or patchy. 😢

      I'm 45 years old and going through perimenopause. Hair starts to fall out if you're not eating enough protein. I also have kidney disease, and I eat 120 grams of protein. I'm 5 feet tall, and I'm 127. i started at 180. most likely its normal but make sure you eat enough protein for your weight.

      @@KarinaRabin Thank you for responding. I try to eat 150g of protein minimum. Would you say that is enough if I'm 5'9 and 192 lbs? No results in my lab work still... I fear I might have damaged my kidneys or liver in 2022 when I had 3 major foot surgeries and I was taking tons of Tylenol and Ibuprofen to manage the pain... But I'm not sure it's related if the hair loss has started in 2024... PS - I saw your channel, you are beautiful and your body is amazing!!

      @@DesireeDAlessandro thank you so much don’t worry wondering if you damaged your kidneys if you had damaged your kidneys you would feel pain so if it’s only hair loss welcome to the hormonal game and welcome to you should up your protein if you’re 190 pounds you should be eating .9 or one times your weight so you do have room to increase your protein and also make sure that you’re eating enough caloriesif you live in calorie deficit too long, that’s not good either

      @@DesireeDAlessandro Whatever you do stay away from NSAIDS. My mother was a RN for over 40 years and had a co-worker that constantly popped Tylenol and IB and is now on dialysis. Saw my kidney specialist just yesterday and he said stay away from them, lose weight and limit salt. Good luck!!

      @@KarinaRabin Bloodwork came back for kidney, liver, thyroid, and hormones all being off.. Mostly thyroid and hormones with elevated testosterone from my PCOS. She is treating me 3 ways and we are adding supplements I was also difficient in (D, iron, zinc). We will retest in a month. She also advised I stop dieting for now. Fingers crossed...

    I have been watching your videos all weekend falling asleep to them to keep me out of my head before bed when it’s always the worst
    These meals have helped me stay focused and on my mission to self care Saturday after being at my lowest I found a scale that told me I was fat I’m 32 6-1 and I was 220 pounds heaviest I have ever been I always said I wanted to be that heavy but this is not the look I wanted. I have been fasting from about 9pm-9am every day and watching my calories keeping a deficit of at least 500 and doing my best to be active weather it’s push-ups sit ups curls pull ups or just walking and closing out my circle that I’ve been ignoring on my phone for years today I’ve been feeling better than I have in years I weigh myself at the same Publix and I’m down to 203 I couldn’t believe it I’m hooked i wanna be the best me and nobody will ever take that away again thank you for ever for making these meal videos and many other videos you have made for us to watch

    Fries are also great for hitting potassium levels. Those and avocados, and dried apricots, are my go to to hit my potassium and fiber, without having to eat a ton of dishes

    May I ask
    1. What are your thoughts on type of meat I should be buying?
    2. Also do u care for Shiritatke noodles if cooked correct 💯 and a little PBFit2 (60 calories per serving) or do u prefer the original PBFIT?
    I will not lie and say I don't miss candy but I have made egg white wraps with berries and they've been delicious especially with coconut flour and a little vanilla whey protein powder!
    Ginger even grated adds flavor as well as PBfit2, some sugar free honey or monk fruit and some type of spice with cilantro as a peanut sauce for stir fry especially with chicken and adding cilantro... Zucchini noodles r delicious, butternut squash in cubes... thoughts?
    3. shiratake noodles if rinsed well and seared on a pan until they turn white, the smell goes away completely and they turn into white, expand and make 4 delicious noodles!
    4. Do U eat 🥚🥚 w/ the yolk?

I just started watching you and I will be starting my weight loss journey tomorrow April 3 third wish me luck and please continue to create more video. Also I don’t eat meat I’m a Presbyterian I only eat seafood if you could please add some meals that cater to my eating type Thank you.
