This was soooooo good, it’s my family’s favorite way for me to make the chicken, I mixed mines with some herbs and seasoning and put it in the crockpot over carrots and potatoes. I had a coworker try it and she had me cook it for her anniversary dinner!

I brine and inject my turkey. Every holiday my turkey is the talk of the day. Last year my uncle and I had a turkey cook-off, and I won hands down. 🤗 Now, I don't use the same ingredients that you use, but I use the three essential elements, water, white sugar, and kosher salt with oranges, lemons, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, and a lot of ice while soaking the turkey in the brine mix.

I’ve been brining for several years. I have a 5 gal Gatorade cooler I use instead of a bucket. I bring the brine to a boil & then insert a block of ice into the mixture to bring the temp down. I place the cooled brine into the cooler & add 1/2 gal of chilled apple juice. I then lower the turkey into the cooler & add cold water until covered. A pie pan is used to form a circular top of ice to the mixture. It serves 2 purposes, keeps the mixture cool & weighs down the bird so it doesn’t float. Definitely rotate the bird & replace ice as necessary.

Alright it's after people are cookin on thanksgiving. I actually used this brine to boil the leftover bones, neck, gizzards and wings into a nice broth. I baked the legs to go in my dressing in top of some chopped onions, celery, and carrots. I used those drippings in my gravy as well. Then added the extra veggies from those drippings into the bone broth i was making to continue cooking it. I had really good cornbread dressing i made with it, and a fire cranberry sauce to go with the turkey. Green bean casserole was a lil bolder this year with some tony cacherez, garlic n onion pwdr, a lil cheddar and parmesean...sour cream yum! Your brine made my turkey on point, my dressing, AND my gravy is good as hell. Nice. I do reccomended going heavy on the spice and adding some bay leaves. Wonderful. Bless you brother and your whole family and friends!!

This was my first time making turkey as I always felt intimidated by the process. I came across your video and decided to follow your brine method. The turkey was by far, the very best I have ever tasted. I am not blowing my own horn. All of my guests raved about it. It was extremely moist & delicious. I left it in the brine for 12 hours, then I seasoned it and left it for 34 hrs. My family could not believe how delicious it was. Your method was so easy to follow so I will definitely be trying it again.

@@SmokinandGrillinwithAB are you supposed to rinse it off and then add seasonings or so just dry it off M and straight to the smoker/fryer? Thanks
