Here's a fact for ya: If you clear the ENTIRE Game without getting a Game Over which is ALL 16 Levels in a row = ALL 64 Rounds in a row, then you can earn up to 286,000 Bonus Points 5500 for clearing the 1st Level, 9500 for clearing the 2nd Level, 13,500 for clearing the 3rd Level, 17,500 for clearing the 4th Level and 20,000 each for clearing the 5th Level and so forth Clearing Levels 5-16 get you a total of 240,000 Bonus Points 5500 + 9500 + 13,500 + 17,500 + 240,000 = 286,000 Bonus Points for clearing the ENTIRE Game without getting a Game Over How 'bout THAT one?
I LOVE this game and I play it all the time, but here's the secret: I usually go for the cherries and also, I use the discs to lure Coily so I can get those 500 points and the more I score, the more bonus points I earn and the more the bonus points, the more lives I earn
This game ruined Q*Bert for me, had it as a kid. It was REALLY good, and I could never get used to the lack of stage variety in the original arcade game when I finally did play it.
that is so stupid why don't they keep it the same color all of the time instead of bouncing on the same block again or changing it back to the color you started with it's a good way to get killed by coily or wrong way or ugg and I though sam was your friend but I guess not he likes to ruin your progress not make it better they should redo q-bert to make it one color only
If they kept it to changing it to 1 color, the game would be a cakewalk, and the challenge would never increase. The arcade version also at some point had you changing block colors twice in order to finish a level.
the control on this game is terrible. ant hints on how to better manipulate the character , my kids would be greatly appreciative. i played this on ATARI and then on NES and was pretty good at it. the gameboy version just wont do what you want it to. ( bought it used so granted, i may have a problem with my specific cartridge)
The Arcade Qbert is great because you can use a joystick to control the diagonal moves you have to make. with the NES Qbert you can turn the controler on an angel to to make the diagonal moving easier and same with Qbert 3 on SNES. If you want to play some Qbert games the harder way, you can use regular Dpad up down sided to side controls to move diagonally.
My favorite one! Oh the memories very nostalgic!

Within a day, you had 1800+ views from people tuning in to watch you play Q-bert in black and white? This is crazy.
To be fair the menu music is kinda catchy

+christopher campbell Weird thing, there is a GBC version of Q*bert, it's not this version though, but a port of the original arcade game.
