- A longplay of Q*bert 3.
Q*bert 3 for the SNES was also developed by Realtime Associates and released in 1992. Jeff Lee, creator of the Q*bert character, also worked on the graphics for this game. Q*bert 3 features gameplay similar to the original, but like the Game Boy game, it has larger levels of varying shapes. In addition to enemies from the first game, it introduces several new enemies (Frogg, Top Hat, and Derby). Published by NTVIC, Q*bert is a playable character in the game.

The background animation for each level is very reminiscent of EarthBound's battle backgrounds. Amazing how the SNES could make such vivid imagery.
Ah, yes, I remember this one. Q*bert is such a challenging game (for me, anyway)! But I really enjoy the trippy environments and characters, all the same. I would force myself to clear any particularly tough level, just so I could see what kind of colourful, psychedelic graphics were in store for me next!
Great graphics/music...really gives it a more updated feel while staying true to the old-school arcade original!
The graphics and music are adorable.
Never witnessed this game being played so expertly. Well done!
I only played this once in 1992, but the theme is stuck in my head to this day.
1hr 11mins for the first 20 levels. Well done. Impressive run. Very fee deaths make it more impressive.

Used to play this at gramma’s house. Never got past the third level.
The SNES version of Q*bert 3 is vivid & challenging.
Me and the boys sitting down to watch an hour and 30 minute video
Not long aog, Q*bert resurfaced as a Nintendo NES and Game Boy game, but this Super Nintendo incarnation really shows Q*bert's colors.
This game is really good, but I never expected to realize it takes a while to clear it entirely.
1of the best SNES games!!
I miss this game.
Nice video
Amy Rose hi I'm sonic
I never had Chrono Trigger but instead I had this one. It was so damn hard.
Soundtrack for 4-4 sounds like makin' whoopie
amy, you are the best
What were the developers smoking when they were making this lol jkn. Though the backgrounds were impressive and distracting (i know you can disable background in the games settings but i didn't wanted to). love the games messed up music. it's very impressive too.
DiddyKong55 check out Earthbounds battle backgrounds for Super nintendo
i did. well my sister has it on her New 3DS and my brother has it on his old Wii U (it was the first game that he downloaded on E-Shop back in 2013 and it's still around). Qbert 3's backgrounds were distracting. i like looking at them.. but i always get hit by those red balls, that snake and those purple monsters that jump sideways though. i played this through homebrew on Wii U... and i still do.
I want the soundtrack of this game
For such good tunes, this OST has definitely been entirely overlooked; I couldn’t find an upload of the soundtrack when I just looked.
Edit: Though for having so many levels, it could have used a few more tracks.
I think Q*Bert 1 was enough. Maybe 2 with "modern" graphics. But 3 of'em?
And people say Lion King or Super Empire Strikes back were hard? I beat those two at 16, but Q-Bert 3 is a lot harder.
Why does your score keep changing? One minute you'll have 6 figures, then when you go up a level, you're back down to 5 figures. Even though the extra lives you've accumulated keeps going up. It's odd
pretty sure this channel uses savestates all the time
This isn't the only playthrough that does it. I get the feeling that the score counter is buggy and/or that they game designers never expected you to get that far without continuing - if you look closely, you'll see that the score will suddenly jump an absurd amount of points upon level completion.
What I think happens is that the game's score counter kind of shits itself once it hits about 131,000 points - notice how at the end of the level, the "thing still on screen bonus" seems to be 10X what it normally is? What I think happens is that the score counter actually breaks as soon as the level completion bonus is added, shoves all the score counts one digit over, and it truncates the last digit upon reloading it for the next stage. You can actually see this happen mid-level at 1:12:35 .
@@YukaTakeuchiFan It's the same reason as to why the extra lives counter behaved the way it did in the first NES Super Mario Bros.; and again it was because the programmers did not believe players would ever max out the counter.
@@ClassicTVMan1981X Oh of course, I'm no stranger to the ol' rollover bugs and accidents of the old days of gaming. Still, I at least understand 99, 255, and any "ran out of digits" rollover - 131k just seems weird and arbitrary.
The music is giving me Bubsy vibes. And that's not a good thing.

I'm not gettin' 'em...
me too i wish it was on the genesis with all different music, bad choices of songs!!
The music in this is bonkers ... And I love it! :)
Does anyone know what the hell was Q*Bert 2???
Surprised nobody’s made the obvious joke
What happened to Q*bert 2?
That was called Q*bert's Qubes.
@@ClassicTVMan1981X and it suuuuuucked
There was a Q*Bert 2 for Gameboy!
Where is QBert 2?
It was made for Gameboy.
This is my Q*shit.
Q*f*ck you.
Is this the only video footage of anybody beating this game without tools?
Not the only video.
As another comment mentions, it is likely that save states were used in the making of this video.
@@rodneylives well that's disappointing. Has anybody been able to beat this game without cheating or tools?
@@chesspunk489 I'm sure it's happened. Back in the day I got pretty far, I think it was around Level 14. If you can get to it with save states it's probably possible to do it honestly, just, very challenging.
@@rodneylives I have yet to find footage of it happening if this one isn't legit.
Amy is cute hi I'm sonic

Awesome Video. Liked and Subscribed!! I'm putting together a Classic Gaming Channel myself. Early stages, but could use some tips and advice, or even a thumbs up If anyone is feeling nice and willing to check my vids out.
