- Zeus presents Q*Bert "Adventure Mode" (un-emulated) for the Playstation, a true classic from the golden era of playstation gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1999
Who can forget the original Q*Bert arcade classic released way back in 1982, a crazy amuzing game where you control a funny looking Orange creature by jumping on the squares to change their colour to the colour needed to complete the levels whilst avoiding the wierd and wonderful baddies along with the dreaded snake Coily.
Years later (now years ago) Q*Bert was reborn on the PS1, this time Coily has captured his girlfriend / wife and It's Q*Bert's job to venture through 4 different dimensions to finally confront and defeat Coily,...and of course rescuing your better half.
Each of the dimensions consist of 6 levels each and those 6 levels also contain around 5 stages each giving an approx level count of 120, plus the last 2 stages which is you against Coily and his army of Coily's.
This is set in a 3D enviroment which certainly gives the game a refreshing look but can be tricky at times to see certain platforms you need to colour as they are at different levels, because of this (along with a PS1 controller that is not the best for this type of game) I lost a TON of lives, but thanks to GameHacking.Org I was given an Action Replay code for infinite lives :-D
So now for the first time on CZcams the entrire PS1 Q*Bert game "Adventure Mode" is here for you to see along with the intro, ending and all the nice animations between the dimensions (time listings below).
Once you get used to the 3D look of this game it really is a joy to play and thanks to the PS1 memory card you can save your progress.
I really hope all you retro game fans enjoy this upload.

Nostalgia overload! Years of Q*bert invading my brain!
That's what this channel is all about,...unemulated retro game nostalgia :-D
Man, this vid brings back memories. I sucked ass at this game as a kid, but it had such good music.
Such a long game too but I just had to lonplay this version as it's not been longplayed before.
I had to pause the game and take breaks and after a while as the PS1 controller can start to hurt your fingertips :-(
I know that feeling so well. Used to play my PlayStation like all day as a kid, my hands hurt so much but it was worth it for all the memories.
When I was 9 years old Playing this game I had to idea to what the end goal was 😂
What a great game that consumed a lot of my childhood. The art style is beautiful
Fun fact: This was the first game Jake Kaufman did the music for, AKA the same guy who did the music for Shovel Knight and Shantae!
Hey, thanks for uploading this! :D
I've been playing this game and have been stuck for a long, long time (in the construction world). I figured I may never beat this game legitimately, so I might as well see what the last level and ending looks like. lol
Q*bert is a fun game, but it's so frikkin brutal! XD
I've remember I was playing this game when I was a little kid , it was so fun for playing this game at hold time!
Everytime Q*Bert dies, he does speak Q*Bertise but it sounds like he's saying "It's not even too dirty"; was the first thing that popped in my mind when I played this on my PC decades ago
After all this time I can't figure out how those number-boxes are opened
Get high scores, and it upgrades you to a higher rank.
Dude this game was the biggest kick in the balls i think its the reason for my generations ocd
I like this video 👍 good job
The memories, lol I never knew how to save and load though...
When he was like fuck it ill doit on easy i died laughing
😮your lives jumped back up to 2! 3:11
I love Q*bert
Who doesn't, fantastic classic and well updated in this PS1 version.
Spent loads of 10p coins on this in my chippy as a kid. Had a clone version called Spellbound (I think it was called that) on the Spectrum but wasn't the same. You were a frog instead. Thanks for the upload matey 😆
Yep just Googled it. Spellbound but NOT the Mastertronic version. Came on a compilation tape for Live Aid support (SOFTAID) Again thanks for the videos you upload bring great memories back and a nice break from the Ps4 to appreciate how much "Checkpoints" save time in today's games 😊
No problem, took me all day to do this but it needed a longplay, thanks for checking it out.
What about eGame's Cube hopper? It plays the same, but has grid-styled controls instead of isometric
My childhood!!!
This is basically a more intense Qbert.
I like this❤️☺️
Is it possible to upload the OST?
It’s easily one of the best parts of the game
Esto es muy chévere pero muy olgaseaneador y muy largo
god this game.... I actually cleared all the stages on hard... fucking insane to do in later worlds...
That's impressive to do it without cheats, game is far too long imo but It's nice to have it uploaded in full on youtube finally :-)
oh trust me, some of the stage layouts are spiteful as hell... especially in that construction based world (the 3rd one).
interestingly enough though, it's how you get the most points possible. a full hard run for the first world easily unlocks rank 3 and allows you to go everywhere in the stages
If you're wondering about qberts gibberish well in pixels he swares with his speech bubble to symbolise him swearing
I'm not, known that fact for 30yrs :-)
No shit dude.
"BULLCRAP!"
0:50 i assume that Purple Q*Bert is suppose to be from 2 Player mode?
@Rocco Poe I use to always play two player with my mom
I know this is years ago answer is yes and he goes by the name Q.dink
@@keidrienmccollum3476I know your answer is also from years ago and I'm continuing the tradition. Hopefully somebody will respond to my response in a couple of years 🤘
qbert for smash
THERE’S A PS1 VERSION OF QBERT?! Why am I barely finding out about this
...Because useless CZcams don't seem to be recommending my channel to enough viewers?!
19:28 secret in the back
is there any way i can find the music to this game?
Type qbert ps2 soundtrack and then it will show a full play list of every theme in the game
@@skipperkujo6703 yeah it doesn’t show up
I don’t think anybody posted them
@@seanlynch145 replace soundtrack with ost I think that will work
@@skipperkujo6703 yeah nope, tried that too
I tried sound cloud and spotify I still coudint find it im sorry
Atari 2600, the best version.
I love the look of this game, it just plays like shit. Needs more coherence like the original
