Just sloppy. Doing international travel with the same luggage they use to go hunting, and apparently just throwing the clothes in the bag without looking.
Break the laws of foreign country, you win stupid prizes
I think there are thousands of children growing up without fathers because those fathers broke laws, got caught, and are in prison.
Why is the guy any different?
Anyone who unknowingly has a gun or ammo with them, should never be let near a gun or ammo.
Other countries have their own laws. Respect them.
This isn't a Turks & Caicos issue??? MOST countries punish for this.
For sure in Europe!
What an irresponsible gun owner.
He should be PROSECUTED by the police there.
Woe is me. Don’t commit crimes in foreign countries.
How do you "accidentally" bring ammunition with you? I travel everywhere. You are always told the rules for each travel destination. This is just another case of US residents feeling like they can do whatever they want in other countries.
Agree, but then, they face zero consequences doing this IN America, so there’s zero awareness of the issue.🫤
@@leohorishny9561 and that is arrogance.
@@leighannsoles8432 exactly!
A responsible gun owner does not "lose track of" their ammunition.
American tourists, WAKE UP! You do not have the same "anything goes" protections that you enjoy at home.
yep, that 2A stops at the border!
The Second ends once you cross for sure ..😮
Unless, of couse, you decide to demonstrate.
@@waltbroedner4754 however most are sheep 🐑
If you have ammo in random bags, maybe you are asking to be jailed.
This is what happens when Americans assume that every sovereign Caribbean nation is merely an adjunct of Florida where the servants won't speak English.
Keep him in jail. It will send a message to other idiots.
Dope should be in jail. He broke their laws. On a side note, if you can’t secure your ammo when you’re done you shouldn’t own a weapon.
How to say: ammunition is too cheap, without saying ammunition is too cheap.🤨
I like how when this happens it's always "it's so sad and tagic" people literally assume they didn't intend to take this stuff with them on their word alone. That's not a valid defense for anyone.
You know stupid is a stupid does. I have traveled, and I have traveled a lot. I have never been detained in any country for ever doing anything illegal.
And why is that? It is because I read up on the country's laws before I go and I make sure that I fine tooth everything I'm taking to make sure I'm not violating any of their laws.
It's that simple.
You may be entitled in the United States, other countries do not care about your entitlement. They hate us anyway, please act responsible.
"She flew to Australia with a Subway sandwich. She was fined $1,844...How a chicken footlong became ‘the most expensive sandwich ever’ and went viral on TikTok" ...The mistake cost Jessica Lee 2,664 AUD, the equivalent of about $1,844..." 20 July 2022 The Washington Post. She failed to declare she had food when entering Australia in her carry-on, which was also unintentional! You need to know the laws of the country you are visiting!
who doesnt know they bought a sandwich at the airport and flew with it?
Who travels 22 hours to Australia with a sandwich in their bag and thinks they are going to eat it after 12 hours??? Stoopid
boohoo.
invading and disrespecting will come back to haunt you where ever you go
You go to jail for 12 years just because you forget to take out or mistakenly bring ammo. Geez is it really hard to double check all your bags before travelling
How often do people leave ammunition in his or her luggage when travelling?
Keep him in jail
How do you not inspect your luggage compartments, especially for a trip out of the country? I tend to overpack, but I dig around the zippers and pockets of my suitcase or duffle to make sure I’m not carrying dead weight like old toiletries or old receipts.
The mother is correct, the little boy shouldn’t have to grow up with out a father but sadly for the young boy, his father is a criminal in a foreign country
Everyone who travels internationally should be required to watch Midnight Express.
Weird how a bunch of hunting guys just happen to have bullets? Look like ex military? Mercenaries?
Michael Grim dodged a bullet, since the new 12-year minimal wasn't on the books yet.
Dont feel the least sorry for them.
Time for Americans to know that other countries have other laws!
Tell u want fresh start
Without telling me
She's free!!??!!
Actions have consequences for Careless mistake
I’ll Said it again play stupid games win stupid surprises double check your luggage before you go and check rules. This is what you get when you vote for Trump you get punished.
They the ones that made whete us didn't get involved any more..used too ..
It sucks but.. how is this just a thing. But he is most deserving of a consideration.
🎶 now you a single mom 🎶

And I'm proud to be an American where T&C keeps me free. And I won't forget their security who gave that right to me. And l'll proudly sack up next to them for locking up those who pack. Cuz there is no doubt I love their laws. God bless the T&C.
LMFAO.
Smells like cia

Anyone acting like they would never leave anything in their bags that wouldn't pass through security is a fool. This is a failure by the TSA. If they had done their jobs effectively, the bag wouldn't have made it on the plane!
Maybe it was a Black guy at TSA trying to get a little payback, you will pay those reparations one way or another. 😂
Turks and Caicos is off the list. Obviously a mistake. I will just go to Barbados or Jamaica instead.
OK, Karen. I hate unreasonable countries that won't allow Americans to smuggle guns and ammo across their borders.
Ok boomer 🤣🤣 We will still go to Turks and Caicos
U Americans think u can do wat ever u want where ever u want..
I think I would be on the airlines side if the guy possibly had a weapon with him but beans he didn't have a weapon and they were just two or three rounds that he forgot to take out of his luggage I don't see a big deal that they're making about this
Countries have laws and you need to abide by them. Something tells me if he had a bag of marijuana youd have a very different point of view.
It is NOT the airline,, did you not listen? The country has a law banning ammo and guns. He brought ammo in.
because as far as the T and C police know, he had already sold the rifle to someone else already. Re the T and C law, :Possessing a gun or ammunition is prohibited in Turks and Caicos. Ir sounds like T and C got royally pissed off at foreigners bringing illegal guns and ammo into their country, so they stiffened the penalties.
Typical MAGA fuzzy thinking.

I get it how much money is this man going to make off three rounds maybe four rounds $4 maybe $6 at best this isn't a perfect world some people may make mistakes when they're packing their luggage and not really look around in every corner just to see to it that they may or may not have three or four rounds tucked away somewhere
