Getting Asmodee to buy your company TWICE is such a baller move. Mad respect.
Century Spice Road is hugely underrated. It’s become my go to game when introducing new players to more modern board games. Super easy to teach, and offers new players some interesting choices to make.
I didn't get the impression that it was underrated. Most of the time, whenever someone mentions the hit game Splendor, there's at least one guy following up with, "Yeah, Splendor's alright, but Century: Spice Road is better."
This is all good info!
Both it and Golem Edition are in the top 300 of BGG rankings and it won a ton of awards the year it released so I think it's fair to say it's not underrated at all.
Century games are my favorite and my favorite Century game is New World.
Only play two, Camel up & Azul series enjoy both quite a bit
Love me some golem series and camel up!
i love me some plan B games top of my list Reef and Azul
I own everything except Era haha pretty solid list! Especially the Century series
I'd be happy with those 10 games (or 14 with the trilogies). 👏👏
Love camel up 2nd edition and century games as well! Century endless world and the 1+3 combination game is underrated I think
1. Azul(s)
2. Camel up 2nd edition
3. Century Spice Road
From the intro it seems there is already a game of game companies buying out game companies in order to publish each other's games. games
Such an awesome game company. Got Alma Mater for free in a buy-nothing Facebook group, and I love it.
Top Game Company ! They make Classics
Anyone who likes roll & writes, but want something more 'blinged out' should check out ERA: Medieval Age!!
Great to play solo too! (One of the very few beat-your-own-score solo games I really enjoy!!)
I’ve only played 2 games from plan B games. Reef which was okay. And century spice road which is amazing. I’ll have to try camel up one of these days.
These were all just okay for me.
Seems I only played 4 of their games and the best was Great Western Trail
A bit surprising not to see Great Western Trail on this list! Or do you count it as a Stronghold production?
It was in the top 10 games for both Stronghold and Eggertspiele iirc.
'change cubes into other cubes' made me wince hard
Century Spice Road
Take out Flick 'em Up! and replace it with Great Western Trail (2nd edition), take out Equinox and replace it with Village.
Noteworthy omissions:
Men at Work, Heaven & Ale, Mombasa, Blackout: Hong Kong
NO Flick 'em Up is fun for any one, GWT well good can get boring. Sorry but Village is a terrible game.
2nd edition of GWT isn't published by Plan B. Also the first edition was already mentioned in the top 10 games for both Stronghold and Eggertspiele iirc.
Take out Equinox (I just don’t get it, but it is beautiful and I want to like it), and put in Yak. Then I’ll second every other game on your list.
Century Spice Road is a great game, but it is also an example of a game that is very UNFRIENDLY to colorblind players. I wish they would have found a way to keep the theme of the spices but somehow use colors more friendly to those of us with color issue. Still a great game though despite that. Reef is also an excellent game.
This is a good list. I’m a bit surprised that you didn’t mention Great Western Trail given how popular it is
That game gets virtually no love from the Dice Tower. That might be a reason I don't own it yet 😆
It was in the top 10 games for both Stronghold and Eggertspiele iirc.
@@freeheeler00 it's better than all the games in that top 10
GWT is the best
Coimbra made the list but Great Western Trail didn’t? Pass me whatever you’re smoking, sir.
