New Kingdom: Gardeners Review with Sam - "Help Me Help You!"
It's tough to just pick one, but I'm going with Moon Knight in Unmatched: Redemption Row. I enjoy having to manage his identities throughout the game.
Legacy from Sentinels of the Multiverse
Sparky the Wonder Dog! (from Dead of Winter) ;-) He's a good boy!
The only correct answer is war of the ring.
What did you expect?? Happy Friday!!!
The Reiner Knizia co-op was my first intro into the Euro-games, however War of the Ring is my favorite LotR board game by a large margin. Just wish I had more time and opponents to play it with.
1:14:55 i agree that something like stairway to heaven should be in a "music geek" top 10 - it's long, emotional, multi-faceted and super epic ...and that's why something like azul should be in spot 35075 - it's exactly none of those things led zeppelin, i hereby apologize for that chris dude
Books are indeed awesome
Tom not knowing Ice Ice Baby is the living under a rock moment of the week. 😅
Aeon's End is pretty far from generic fantasy imo, but I understand why someone would think that if they don't really engage with the game much outside of the gameplay
How does Sub Terra compare to Night Cage?
Is this only 2 player game, or 3, 4? If more players is it still as good?
Contention Games rocks. Slay the Spire is garbage. Sad to see Contention waste their talents on such a mediocre IP.
That boring unboxing got EPIC in the middle!!
This looks interesting. The design is very attractive.
For me it goes like this: Lord of the Rings LCG, games played: 1148, rating: 10/10 War of the Ring 2nd Edition, games played: 24, rating: 10/10 War of the Ring: The Card Game, games played: 4, rating: 10/10 (recently bumped from 9) Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation, games played: 18, rating: 9/10 Lord of the Rings: Journes in Middle-Earth, games played: 2, rating: 3/10 (this game is awful, with constant skillchecks and not enough interesting decisions)
Why didn't she capture the light immediately after resurrecting the shadow? The resurrected piece can move, even on the same turn, yet she only moved it once
Love Escape Plan - very different than the other Lacerdas - but so exciting on the last day!
Yes, Chris. kudos for promoting World's Fair 1893. This is so overlooked because it's so unassuming, but it's an excellent game!
What about “Lord of the Rings - Adventure to Mount Doom”? Great game.
I had close to Camilla's experience with Blood Rage and I didn't like it at all. If you didn't get into that game early and tried to play with some who did, that game is ROUGH
When I taught high school English in Clark County School District (fifth-largest district in the US), our rule of thumb was that if students could read at a fourth-grade level in ninth grade, they were put in an honours/extension class. I’m not familiar with the statistic from the Popped game, but even under the most generous methods of measuring, the literacy situation in the United States is surprisingly grim. (Or was a little over a decade ago.)
As a product of the Clark County School District, thank you for putting in your years there. It's a rough district on teachers. -Chris
Hey, what about Hunt for the Ring?
War of The Ring for player vs player and LoTR LCG for solo / coop!
Japan had Italy on the reverse side for Ticket to Ride
Aeons end ❤
Wait? Where is War of the Ring: The Card Game??
Yezz! Very very good game
Played the first scenario of Orange Shall Overcome. We all played for the first time with a 5 player game, so it was long, took 2 evenings to complete, but man. We all really liked it. It is intense and doesn't pull its punches. Great game, definitely coming back on the table.
"Into my collection!" - proceeds to smash the box XD
Where can I watch them play Ito? 27:20
Greatest showman is fantastic
What about battle for Moria?
This game would be even better if Disney included characters and items from their extensive library like Star Wars, The Muppets, Pixar & Marvel.
chapter marks of the games would be great
Are you a fan, Tom, of the opera?
Zines are the epitome of cool! They were some of the most important music journalism in the punk and post-punk era. And many of the best zines grew into full grown magazines, some of which are still publishing today. See "The Big Takeover" from my friend Jack Rabid. Kenny you had a zine? You rule!
I am a fan of the original. I do like your idea of a second person placing out the pieces and allowing the primary player just roll.
Ok I’m at 8 and have already had 4 mid roll adverts show up. First time I’ve ever had a mid-roll advert appear on a Dice Tower video. Oh no.. 😔 EDIT: at 7 now and just watched my 6th advert. I’m out
I apologize, I've turned them off now. CZcams has changed some default settings that if we don't turn off, it automatically bombards people with ads. This is not our intent, and it should be mid-roll free now.
@@thedicetower amazing thank you! 🙏🏻
I also like Space Base! It also fits that important niche of something adults can find interesting that kids can figure out how to play as well
I love Slay the Spire the video game. Seriously, I play it almost everyday. Since I've got the board game I've felt more inclined to play it over the video game. It's smooth, it's fun, it's satisfactory to handle. Overall I feel like the Board Game is an even better experience than the video game. Yes, I would recommend for solo play.
Jeff Koons is also a strange artist in that he doesn't actually build the art pieces... he just comes up with the concept and then hires people to make them. Very bizarre. EDIT: Another art tidbit... Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World is the painting Tom was thinking of with the woman lying in the field looking to a farm house.
Its not even close: War of the Ring.
I'll go with Meet Me in St. Louis, Love Me Tonight, and An American in Paris.
In terms of being a hobby gamer, the LotR LCG is what I am. Everything else is something I do while waiting to get back to it.
Really pleased to have Roy and Wendy in the same top 100 to have those very contrasting views.
Deck building games from cryptozoic, lotr and hobbit, they're all great.
War of the ring the card game
Outer Rim - great game! Thanks for showing off Shatterpoint. It looks great and I like painting (old 40k player here) but, not at the moment so I will wait and see how this develops. I see a box of rebels is like $90 Aud so for now I am not interested in paying the price point of shatterpoint.
Action Points strikes again with the DT :P lol
The Knizia LotR game was my first hobby game, back when WotC published it. Absolutely incredible game. And really easy to play solo as multiple Hobbits.
