You can get his leads without killing him, just by placing a boat down next to the llamas, it breaks the leads when the llama gets in the boat.

I feel bad for him,he sells bad trades but he wants someone to trade with him. Poor Wanderer.
Well, some of those trades are genuinely useful depending on the world spawns or strange hobbies. For example, I find the ability to trade for tropical fish buckets, puffer fish buckets, red sand, kelp, sea cucumbers, and coral blocks extremely helpful. That's because I have built a home aquarium but have no nearby access to oceans or badlands. I have rivers everywhere, so sea grass and regular sand are pretty easy to find. They do serve strange niche purposes, but it's still extremely useful to those people.
@@kidwolf0015 yeah, my cousin even kills them but she doesnt know it can decorate or make a fish tank due to the coral, fish, and many more naturistic things.

This is so beautiful. Enough to make a grown man cry.
To most people the Wandering Trader is only useful in Skyblock and Superflat worlds but to me he's also useful in a normal survival world because he makes sand, red sand and coral blocks infinitely renewable. It's not the best or fastest process but when you need a few stacks of sand or red sand it's fine. I always keep emeralds with me for this reason.
I do however wish they make a Wandering Trader update someday in which they allow players to refresh the Wandering Trader's trades. That would help a lot

Oof... and I feel bad about having to kidnap two of them to repopulate another village where they would still be free AND hopefully protected this go around. I'm thinking about building some golem guards and setting up their houses with two layers of wooden doors to help keep the zombies out. That would be pretty cool, as long as they could still open the doors themselves. (Seriously though, I can't be the only one that actually enjoys building new stuff for the villagers and actually befriending them... right?)

This is why I only keep villagers, who I cure from being Zombie Villagers. They know you saved them from eternal damnation, and they maybe even realise, that they probably hurt you, as you tried to save them. As we know from the other Mojang video, villagers love having a job, so, if you give them a job block, you give them what they love, as well as saving their lives. In the lives of folks, who live as simply as these villagers, that can put you at a high enough standard, to maybe be loved by them, and be offered things by them (like better trades), for your efforts.

By trapping the llamas then pushing the wandering villager away so that the leads break

I feel like wandering traders are underrated, they sell exotic items and other stuff that comes from hard places to get like lilypads, coral blocks and sea pickles
There are better trades:
Carrots and Potatoes (On Villageless Biomes)
Flowers and dyes (On deserts) and cactuses if there are no deserts on a 1000 block radius
Tools and weapons
Armor
Enchanted Books
Shells and
Melon Seeds (On Biomes without villages)
Slime (To Create Lead)
Cocoa Beans (On a 5000 block radius without a jungle biome)
Plus Totem of Undying on high price like 7 to 10 emeralds
And even Trade Some stuff for the trader to survive like invisibility potion ingredients, Wood for camp and coal for fire and food so that you can have emeralds.

COMMON MISCONCEPTION: The Wandering Trader is actually madly upset at the Village having no Blacksmith
new update removed the village right near spawn. Before I could just turn left, than walk forwards, and I'd come upon a village with blacksmith, a cave above a cave, a cave near the well, and a river.
Finds blacksmith but only apples and one iron bar
No more Blacksmiths but in some houses you can find chests.
So i once traded with a wandering trader. I got..

I spawned and built my house far away from Villages and I'm happy when one of these guys show up.
Can't wait for the update!
