As someone who has sometimes had to survey along Vermont town lines that were determined in the 1700's, most land surveyors don't want to touch them with a 10 foot pole...12 foot in this case, I guess.
This is the most asinine example of government inflexibility. There's no reason this guy should have to move the house. There should be common sense exceptions to every rule.
