  • In this video we see LNER Class A3 Pacific No. 60103 Flying Scotsman on route to the East Lancashire Railway from the Severn Valley Railway for Scotsman's second visit in 2016. Operated by Riley & Son, West Coast Railway Company and NRM York, the loco is seen drawing attention to itself at Manchester Victoria before pulling away and continuing it's journey to the ELR, arriving in Bury around two hours later.
Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, this particular locomotive was the first official speed record holder of the 100mph record.
Probably the most well-known locomotive in the world, no wonder it draws crowds wherever it goes!

Yes... your point being? This is 60103 Flying Scotsman, this is her British Railways guise. 60163 is a new build A1 and the numbers are similar but big locos are the same.

Yes. If you take a look at the Flying Scotsman Wikipedia page it should give you all the details. Scotsman carried several numbers during its working life, being 502, 103, 4472 and 60103. I shall not go into full detail but take a look at Wikipedia and all will be answered.
