Colas Rail Class 37 No. 37099 'Merl Evans' Derby to Southport 5/12/16

In this video we see a split headcode class 37 operated by Colas Rail Freight hauling a Network Rail test train through Wigan Wallgate on it's route to Southport.
The locomotive in question is 37099, recently repainted from it's blue livery into two-tone Colas colours and carrying the name 'Merl Evans'.
The conductor for the Southport leg boarded the locomotive before leaving a few moments later.
