Colas Rail Class 37 No. 37099 'Merl Evans' Derby to Southport 5/12/16

  • In this video we see a split headcode class 37 operated by Colas Rail Freight hauling a Network Rail test train through Wigan Wallgate on it's route to Southport.
    The locomotive in question is 37099, recently repainted from it's blue livery into two-tone Colas colours and carrying the name 'Merl Evans'.
    The conductor for the Southport leg boarded the locomotive before leaving a few moments later.

    I received my Bachmann class 37 Merl Evens today, 22.0818. absolutely perfect well done Bachmann after waiting two years

      Hi Paul is Merl as good as 37421 will get mine on Friday, wikl install tts sound if it lets me! Cant wait to run it 421 and some NR stock, CheersNick.
