Your analysis to each match cannot be what televisa or cemex or the Vergara family do.
At some point you need to analyze the individual and tactical mistakes in the match even with the bad players.
For example, it is obvious that Bielsa is doing a better job with Uruguay than the previous coach with the same pool of players.

These are two of many players like Flores who played for athletico madrid as well as luis garcia, carlos vela who while playing in la liga was the third too scorer just behing messi and cr7, gio dos santos who in his prime played for a couple teams in spain and scored that wonderful goal on tim howard on 2009 and many others, so to say what you said is to be misinformed. In Mexico the problem is that if a European team wants to buy a Mexican player the home team usually overcharges for them, they will want like 10 million for the player. So European teams are like "why pay 10 million for a mexican player when I can just go to Argentina and get a player for 3 million." Recently Julian Quinones was sold to a Saudi Arabia club for around 15 million dollars. The world cup is in 2 years and they send their forward player to Saudi Arabia like why? People now play games on their phones & PC's, before technology, people would be more obsessive towards their craft, not having social media or mobile games to be distracted by. Instead of working on football, they are playing the Xbox or looking for clout on social media. I understand PERFECTLY where allenatore (coach) Spalletti is coming from in regards to the Playstation!
I think this climate we live in today explains the loss of quality in our game of football, not limited to just the Mexican national team. When I watch my Azzurri play at times, I get this feeling as to why we're losing quality in the game. I attribute his greatness partially to the environment he was apart of. We need to start thinking about how this new age of technology affects the tme young players work on their craft, along with coaches restricting players being more expressive. That dribble by Calafiori against Croatia, for example, shows what we are capable of seeing on a more consistent basis if coaches just allow players to play. They can still be expressive on the attack, but when losing the ball, quickly revert back to their defensive shape. There should be no excuse! Alejandro Moreno is outstanding: honest, insightful, and respectful. Contrast him with the three guys Fox trots out based on reputation: Dempsey - great player, but lacks the ability to link multiple ideas; he is honest though. Donovan - flat voice, shallow analysis, vanilla. Lalas - makes a lot of noise and takes forever to make it.
Warren Barton is solid, Cobi Jones is excellent, and Stuart Holden is solid too. Herculez is great too; he gets heated. Maurice Edu is fantastic too. All these people provide better analysis than the three guys on FOX I mentioned, with all due respect.

I'm not sure I see that progression or even the ability of that progression for this Mexican team right now.
Going young is fine if there's something to dream on. Pulisic at 17 was absolutely something to dream on. Is Gimenez? You can’t compare the US change in 2018 to mexicos, Mexico right now is clueless on any kind of game strategy or on how to clean house & actually make a generational change. The U.S has improved since they missed out on the World Cup but this process has been going on for a couple years now and still no results, the only thing they’ve done so far is beat the worst Mexican team in history. Oh and tie England. So how much have they really improved. Copa America is there current test right now, either they take it all or there still at the same level they’ve always been plain and simple.

Mexico has the population and resources to be up there with the very best but there not, our league is so overrated and games like this show me that. Venezuelan players mostly play in weak leagues and even then they still play better than are overhyped divas. We’re in a big whole with no end in sight. Anyone who analyzes this game objectively will realize, Venezuela did not win, rather Mexico let them live.
The amount of chances Mexico created that they could not put away was absurd, and frustrating to watch them go by, especially in the dying minutes of the game.
Mexico cannot finish. They have not been able to finish for a long time now. We just don't have a quality striker who we can rely on to be consistent.
Everyone up front missed - Chino, Santi, Julian, Orbelin, Chavez, hell even Arteaga took another chance today that he blew over and he's probably our best long distance kicker right now maybe.
In alternate universe where Mexico can actually finish, this game should've ended 4-1, maybe 4-2 in favor of Mexico. Easy.

Everything that was stated about the Mexican federation, choosing comfort, a mediocre coach who has never won at the club level, taking too much stock in the players feelings, no statement wins
Apply to Berhalter and the USSF….
