    Gasoline doesn't break in the clothing. Nope. You need brake fluid, brake cleaner and a bit of coolant to complete the break-in period. 🙂 All the best to you and the family. By the way... sticking your legs under a car on jack stands is asking for trouble... try instead to sit cross-legged 😛

    I laid on my back all day at the track yesterday working on a fuel leak on the return line to my stock gas tank. I figured my shirt soaked up approximately .75 gallons of fuel so that should be a good baseline volume. It was the first bracket race with my just put together turbo LS Duster with coincidentally a Goldbox ECU.

    Hole spotters are another useful tool. These come in threaded for threaded holes as well as non threaded for plain holes. KBC Tools is a good source for this kind of thing. Enco used to be the source until MSC bought them and dumped most of the lower end ( but OK for occasional use ) product line.

    For drag racing where you lift front wheel one can then use a distance to ground sensor under the car instead,correct?

    • @Calvin-Nelson
      @Calvin-Nelson  Před rokem

      You could. Or just put the wheels speed sensor on the wheel that is on the ground. You could probably use a shock height sensor to deactivate the traction control when the shock is fully extended.

    These oddballs are what I like to see. Slowly getting back to the mood to keep evolving.
    3:55 Here's why shops recommend reserving a few more bucks for a standalone. The stock ECU will simply get lost with parameters it was never built to deal with.
    Just because I like keeping all within the same house, I imagine such a small, light car would be nice with a NA FIAT 5-cylinder (which is actually quite well developed over here), just to have fun on twisty roads.

    • @hondatech5000
      @hondatech5000 Před rokem +1

      Sr20det would be nice… 4200 makes way more power. I think it’s built to go laser fast in a straight line. So smaller more expensive engines don’t really suit the build.

    I know you guys are big into in-line 6’s. For a smaller car like this could using the inline 5 (3.5 litre) from a Chevy Colorado? I thought those were the same architecture just one less cylinder so it wouldn’t be so long. I know you’re giving up displacement, but for a little peanut of a car like this probably still plenty of power!

    • @Calvin-Nelson
      @Calvin-Nelson  Před rokem
