    Welcome back, Tom!
The thing that’s most helped me with my tinnitus is actually using it as my point of focus during mindfulness meditation, as opposed to, say, my breath or my heartbeat or a candle’s flame. Rather than trying to run away from it, I use it as a tool, and ironically, it has receded to the same level of noticeability (?) as my breath, my heart, or the fact that I technically can always see the nose on my face.

The brain after some time adapts to it for some folks. Especially if you learn to live with it

I've got tinnitus ,shit sucks, completely forgot how would it feel to sleep in quiet room without constant signal flow in my ear😅, sometimes its gone, sometimes it comes back , especially when i go to loud clubs with high db environments it's gets crazy 😢. Allowing it and not being resistant of it makes life smooth to the point where I don't even notice that I have tinnitus at all....
Glad to see you come back to YT❤

Wow as I was listening and writing this comment, ended up realising I need to use some sort of protection for my ears in clubs otherwise it's not sustainable like these and who knows where I will end up if I keep going like this. Just saw some 26-35db reduction plugs that don't distort sound and it's reusable .Gotta get them for sure.
      Thanks Tom lol😂😂❤️

Speaking for myself, the experts always tell me it's because of the loud music I listen to but absolutely nothing to do with the loud lawnmowers I have pushed ever since I was barely old enough to use. Or the chainsaws, or the multiple yards I had to mow when I got just a little bit older. or the industrial equipment that was literally louder than a jet engine when I got my first real job and worked there for many years. Oh it's none of those things, it's the rock/metal music. (so they tell me, lol)
And yes, it gets worse. I used to hear a single high pitched tone, now I hear a chord. And it does get louder.
You are absolutely correct. You just have to ignore it, deal with it, don't focus on it. And meditation helps with EVERYTHING! And oh yeah, use hearing protection whenever possible.
Much Love to all! Good to see a video from you Tom!

Your body can heal at any age, just let it have it its way. Your body communicates to you through 'alarming' thoughts and dreams that come out of nowhere. Pay attention, there might be the answer. I have tried avoiding 'problems', it seems futile. Maybe my mistake was that I consider something a problem when it isn't. Therefore I don't need to solve it to begin with. But then what should I do about it? I wish I could go more into detail, but life will show if I'm on the right path. I think everybody is. Maybe I'm not ready yet, not ready for the greatest changes in my life, after which I'll be like, 'It was all worth it. Everything's been happening for a reason, and now I see why'. I hope we all get to experience what the true meaning of life is at some point in our journey. And from that point on, it lasts for the rest of our days

You should not call it „ignoring“. Better put it in the mindfulness perspective. One time fully acknowledge it and hear it. Then accept it and put your focus somewhere else so that it becomes insignificant.

I can't say for sure that mushrooms were the cause of my tinnitus, but my left ear started ringing a week after my worst nightmare trip, and that was 7 years ago. It has not turned off since, and I've wasted over $20k trying to cure it. This condition is no joke folks, it's singlehandedly been the most painful 7 years of my life.

Ignoring it is the only answer, I haven't heard my tinnitus so much in months as I have since I started watching this video, but turning down the volume helps a lot, your hearing adjusts to low volume just give it time

Just curious if you can hear your T while you are in the shower. Throughout the day, I’m exposed to all sorts of sounds that make me not notice my T, but if It’s still there, I hear it, I just don’t notice it. Except the shower. The shower is the only place where I can’t hear it even if I try to

Tinnitus is a Bitch. Be careful about your noise exposure. Protect your hearing. Wear suitable ear plugs/hearing protection when exposed to loud noise/music. Tinnitus is closely correlated to hearing loss.
I've had it for 30 years.

  • @trollmcclure1884

It's electric phenomena. At least one ear ringing is a buildup of charge on nerve endings (they say). I can get a pronounced sound of silence from various poisons like when I was using turpentine or too high of a dose of iodine. It can be treated by some minerals IMO. Balancing neurotransmitters. Magnesium, lithium maybe. Maybe too much of calcium from hard water. Some vitamins. I dont have a well researched answers because I dont suffer from it much. CBD can help me ignore even pain tho. Yea, try CBD first and then change diet really

    • @trollmcclure1884
      @trollmcclure1884 Před 4 měsíci

@paulbunyan6024 good point. L-theanine is the compound increasing GABA. People use it to fix the receptors in benzo withdrawal. It's actually not a typical GABA agonist like other herbal compounds. It should be the best one for that if not the only stuff that works. A glutamine analogue and glutamate source. It may act as a stimulant only to upregulate endogenous GABA production somehow.
I remember taking it for the first time - a tiny dose raised this sound of silence for me. It may be dose-dependent or this is how it works. The expectation may play a role too.
What I'd add is that ignoring pain and sensations may be counterproductive. A nerve damage from explosions may need masking and more time. Meditation, dwelling in the very center of pain still seems the best for actual healing. If ignoring worked tinnitus wouldnt be a thing people struggle with for decades

Glad you are back, thanks for sharing, Tom. ❤
I've got it too since several years.
    High pitch, like you explained.
First not that loud and in one ear. Now in both ears and much louder.
    Feels like in the head.
Like way to much energy/ electricity in my head.
Could it be from 4G oder 4G or other wafes?
I enjoyed silence so much before.
Meditation in silence was my anchor for mental relaxation and helped me going deep into meditation.
Thats gone now, and good sleep too.
Masking sounds help as long as I listen to it.
And when I'm busy and distracted enough, I don't hear it. But that's exactly what I don't want.
Beeing busy and distracted all the time.
    Still try to find ways...
Lors of love and relief for all of you, who experience the same. At last we are not allone with this. 🫂

I have it too, But I am also grinding teeths in the night. So its really related to it on me. The more I grinded my teeths in the night an the more tensioned my jaw is in the morning, the louder it is through the day. It also gets really loud if I have a nightmare. So if I am frightned the tinnitus goes insane.
I am hoping that it disappear one day, when I get over all my fears and depression one day.
