I would get one of those but I fish in the saltwater and the fish are strong. I wonder how it stands up to cobia or huge redfish? It looks like a copy of the old Abu Garcia Ambassadors. If it's that strong, great. If not I wouldn't want one. Also, how does it cast? Does it backlash when you cast it a lot? It's got plenty of line capacity, but I wonder about the drag for fish that run fast like king mackerel.
Good luck with it! You might want to get an Ambassador too so you can compare the 2. Abu Garcia had made some good ones.

I have debated on the ambassador for weeks now and I am planning on getting one to compare like you recommended but I haven’t yet fished one.

@@Meyers_TV I would get a low profile reel if you want to try baitcasters. I had an Ambassador and now I have a Penn Squall. The Penn is much more comfortable to fish with because it's low profile. And I think the backlash control is better on newer designs. Abu Garcia makes a bunch of different models. I'm probably going to get one of the ones with a flipping switch that costs about $65. I want the switch for jigging because it's easier to let out a little line with one hand. If you do much pitching and flipping you might want one of those. The Quantum Accurist is another with the switch and there are more.
It depends on what you fish for and how you do it, but a low profile reel is much better for casting a lot. The flipping switch isn't necessary, it's just more efficient for some applications. Kastking makes the MegaJaws with it and I might get it instead of the Abu Garcia or Quantum. I haven't decided yet. If you fish with bait for catfish the Ambassador style will be fine, maybe better than a low profile. My Penn Squall is very nice in my opinion, but not cheap at $189. I'll try cheaper ones next.
Good luck, I hope you find the right stuff for your style of fishin'.

The only problem with Piscifun, they're always, and I mean ALWAYS, out of stock. I don't even bother with them anymore.
