- In today's video, we're reviewing the Piscifun Chaos XS Round Baitcasting Reel.
I own the original Piscifun Chaos reel and I have used it many times over the past few years. The reel serves as my go-to shark fishing reel due to its optimal casting distance and line-clicker to alert me when a bait has been picked up. Knowing how much I liked the original, I was very excited to see the Chaos XS for sale.
The Piscifun Chaos XS has several improvements over its predecessor, including a T-Grip handle, reinforced line guide, and a dedicated thumb rest to better grip the reel. Let us know what new feature is your favorite!

Hi am considering buying a 50 model and found your review very informative.My concern is the amount of lateral freeplay in the crank, which I feel should be non existent .I own a Torrent baitcaster which has similar endplay in the handle mount and it is the only characteristic I dislike.Would appreciate your comments on this regarding the Chaos. Dec 2021 - got two 50's for $90 total from their site w/ 20% discount... maybe due to holiday shopping.... kinda thinking I should have bought the 60's. Going to use for cats and striped bass in SC area lakes/inshore.
It’s been 6 months since you made this video. Do you have any updates after using the reel? I just purchased mine for a boat rod and drop-down flounder fishing.
So I'm 44 & just getting into catfishing again haven't fished since I was a teenager and I used the ol Zebco reels back then. Would you recommend this for me? I've never used this type of reel but have the opportunity to fish the river by where I live now and people regularly catch fish there from 10-60lbs and I want to have adequate equipment. Thanks in advance for your advice

Hi I have never used a bait caster type reel in my life (im 62) but want to try the piscifun alijos 300 reel for surf fishing...... I use a 4 meter long rod and sling a minimum of a 4oz sinker, 50lb braid with 2 hooks and large baits...... is this reel capable of handling this type of setup. Am I wasting my time and money even trying something like this...... you advise would be most helpful....... Cheers

I really like my 40 and 50 reels casting is great have 20 lb P-Line Monofiloment on both can easily go out 70 yards with them if had too rate them 1-10 i would give them a 10
I agree, it's a pretty underrated reel. The XS really improves off of the original and I'm excited to try it out on the water soon!
How did you scrape of the text. Without damaging the paint underneath
You could scrape the text off with your fingernail. It's not very difficult to do either, which is another reason why I question its addition to the reel
The Piscifun Chaos XS 50 is one of the best reels I have ever had the pleasure to own. It is the smoothest reel I have ever seen. I have some Abu Garcia Ambassadeurs but this reel beats them hands down.
