I still have no idea what to expect from Slitterhead except that it sounds like it will be somewhat atypical for the action-horror genre. My curiosity is more than piqued, especially seeing how much passion is being poured into perfecting every facet of the experience.

It seems like a mixture of Silent Hill & Bloodborne (which sounds great). but I heard it's also going to have some sort of imposter mechanic with the enemies. Sounds really interesting imo.

I really appreciate all the early footage you've shown us in this video! I'm also really interested to see where this goes since I was not expecting Slitterhead to have what seems to be Soulslike combat in it what with all the guarding and circling the enemy until you get an opening. Also those monster designs look awesome.

I'm honestly getting more excited for this game each and every day now even tho it's not gonna be a horror game this gameplay still has me intrigued and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this game!! Me and everyone else are willing to wait for this game no matter how long it takes I'd prefer you guys release a masterpiece that's late instead of a disappointment that's early so please take all the time you need, you have my full support. Thank you so much for providing us an update! This is one of the only games, quite possibly the only game that I am actually EXCITED for. Just a suggestions not in a sense on how to make your game but something that has stood out to me for a while, the framerate/stuttering during FMV scenes. I am noticing it starting in the Xbox 360/PS3 that some games have that stuttering/choppy aspect to them and when it is a video trying to make the experience immersive, it really takes you out of the immersion. Regardless, I cannot wait until this game comes out and appreciate your respect to the gamer by keeping them included and your humbleness. Thanks again!!

This game looks incredible. It has so much of the aesthetics I miss from 90s videogames, updated to a modern game. Initially I was a bit disappointed that this was not going to be a horror game, but it is very reminiscent of something like parasite eve 2, and 90s hong kong action/horror films. I am extremely excited to play this. Really hoping for a PS5 release.

I really hope to see more horror and tense parts of the game than action. This is cool!
I was expecting a kind of evil within 1 with chapters, but here we see failed missions, lots of action with a man? with a gun, powers, another person as a monster? and a girl we can control, and a ... dog? I think that unfortunately we'll have a lot more action and artistic horror.

It's very interesting Splitterhead, that part of the dog seemed to me that of Forbidden Siren 2, an action-horror very curious to see the final result

Are these user tests made with the same people every time, or are the players who test each build different each time? I can see benefits and drawbacks to both approaches.
I've been following the development of this game and of Bokeh Game Studio for a while now, I am sure it will be something special.
So I was afraid at first from the trailer the departure from silent hill games and how this would turn out and even though its too soon to say, the minor gameplay footage from this video really impressed me in the direction they're going and gives me hope. I really pray they pull this off so the Bokeh Game Studios could have more titles in the works, I definitely miss the aesthetic from silent hill and siren games.
Genuinely excited to see more. Take all the time you need to make a masterpiece!

very surprised to see it looks like more of an action horror game, but very excited. I'm a huge fan of works like dorohedoro and gantz which kind of krimp the style but are more about tension than spooks. that swordsman's style looks a lot like travis touchdown in NMH3 too, which is a personal favorite.
The Kowloon setting keeps reminding me of the game Tokyo Jungle, so it's nice to see that you will also be able to play as an animal here. I hope it doesn't end up as too much of a soulslike
I also thought about the same game as you :o , but I have the impression that it won't be a souls like game. On the other hand, it looks like you control a kind of soul where you can be a dog, a man, a woman, a monster, which could be interesting.
The footage shown off in the video has made me curious. I'm looking forward to seeing more and buying the game when it comes out!

I am a MASSIVE fan of Toyama Keiichi's SIREN series, so hearing about Slitterhead made me very happy.
I understand this is pre-alpha footage, so it won't look anything like the final launch product. The Sightjack function of SIREN was so innovative, I wonder what unique mechanics Slitterhead will have.
I hope that it comes out and gets more coverage and a wider audience than SIREN did, especially since more people play video games these days.

Still waiting for the game since the announcement trailer! I have my hopes high and also hope that controls will be less clunky and more responsive than in for example Forbidden Siren. Oh and I can say the same about the in-game camera. Good luck to you guys!

You don't see many actions games with grotesque enemies, they're usually reserved for horror games that don't let you fight back. Slitterhead will be a nice change of pace.

Not gonna lie, when this was revealed i was disappointed to see it was action-horror rather than straight horror, given the genre has felt rather creatively bankrupt for a while now, outside of the indie scene at least. But with some of the names involved here, Im guaranteed to be checking it out regardless, and what's shown here certainly has my interest! Thank you guys for keeping us updated 😊

It's very worrying considering the studio was founded back in 2020 yet almost 3 years later Slitterhead is barely entering the pre-alpha phase, at this point doubt we will see it this year or the next
I feel that'll be somewhat similar to Ghostwire : Tokyo
As a UX (user experience) designer for several large companies this is interesting how some of the same processes can be used for game development. Lean UX methods can help eliminate risk in ur product, especially important when you’re a startup.

Am I the only one thinking this looks like Prototype meets Dead Space meets Resident Evil? Not sure I like the idea of a checkpoint system though, any good horror game worth it's salt needs to be manual save only like the old Resi games or Alien Isolation. Please have an option to turn the checkpoint system off horror games lose all of the suspense knowing theres an autosave only minutes from where you died. Thank you for making a game like this I haven't been this excited for a true horror game in many years :o)
