    If you truly are an honest salesman, you have to believe in and know the product. Then find out what the customers needs and expectations are. Because your the product specialist, you instantly switch gears. Now you promote the strengths of the product that closely matches the needs and expectations previously stated. Lastly your presentation should be transparently balanced supporting the needs of both the company and the customer. If you do this, you can look at yourself in a mirror and say well done and God would agree.

      You get the same functionality from a Ferrari as you would get from any other car- it will take you from point A to point B. What makes it different from others is the experience, social recognition, etc- all emotional benefits, not practical.

    Persuasion: ethos, pathos, logos! Communication majors, we know all too well. Here's a sales trick, offer them something for free initially and psychologically they'll feel they owe you something.

      Trust me. That doesn’t always work. Often people will take advantage of that.

    Isnt that called manipulation?

    • @Sapientiam
      @Sapientiam Před rokem

      Sales are a little bit like manipulation. You connect to their wants, needs and desires. When you try to sell something you need for them to want it, so you try to put nostalgia into it and make it appealing.
