I remember Jim McKay from my youth as the host of the now-defunct ABC weekend show "Wide World of Sports".

Mark Goodson said he always wanted Betty to host this show, but NBC said no.

Coincidentally, the hypnotist Franz Polgar and his handsome subject Rutgers student Mike Halpern both died in 1979, only 4 months apart.

It would be interesting if Mike Halpern was still alive and could comment on his bit on this show.

Unfortunately he died in 1979, much too young at the age of 43.
